After Mike’s funeral, I couldn’t cope. My family kept checking on me, but I wish they would stop. They’re lucky they have someone.
I stood at my dresser and stared at the picture of Mike and me in the frame. We had plans, and someone ripped them from us. A family we shared the same last name with took someone from me. I picked up the frame and threw it against the wall, smashing the glass.
I turned and looked to see my dad standing in the doorway.
/"Why are you here?/" I asked my dad, my tone oozing with anger.
/"I came to check on you,/" Dad said, looking at me.
I walked over to my dad. /"You want to check on me, then why the hell did you come from that family? Oh, that’s right, everyone lies,/" I spat.
/"Nik,/" Dad said.
/"Go away! I hate you and everyone here,/" I shouted, slamming my door on my dad. Thanks to everyone, I got heartbroken. I hope they’re happy.
