New Year’s Business
After Christmas, things were busy with us hanging out. We had a quiet New Year’s Eve, especially after what happened at Christmas. I’m all partied out.
We walked into the kitchen, taking a seat at the island, talking when Charles and Maggie joined us.
/"So, what are your plans for tonight, Ryan?/" Asked Charles.
/"We’re going to hang out here and watch some movies. Jordan and Frazier may stop by later,/" he told his dad.
/"Your mother and I are going to a party later and won’t be home till late,/" Charles informed him.
/"Okay./" Ryan shrugged.
/"Tomorrow, we have some business to discuss, which also involves you, Alex,/" Charles added.
I nodded, acknowledging what he meant.
/"I have to go get ready./" Charles left, and Maggie leaned back against the counter, sipping a cup of coffee.
/"Do you know what it’s about, Mom?/" Ryan asked her.
