The first few classes went quick, thank God. At lunch, I sat outside on a bench, eating alone. Yes, I may be the new girl, but I needed a break from the constant whispers and stares, plus I could do some reading.
I enjoyed my quiet time to decompress and calm my anxiety that I felt from time to time. The more I’m around people, the higher my stress level became. People didn’t understand it and assumed I have issues. When you have a high IQ, your brain over-analyzes situations and makes them worse than they are. All I wanted to do is make one friend who understood how I felt and didn’t judge me. Again, I’m overthinking as I usually did.
