Drew was taken aback by Adaline's gesture. He stiffened and finally relaxed when she patted his chest. Is she trying to calm me down? Drew asked himself in inward amusement and he felt satisfied.
"Am fine." Drew whispered but Adaline still stood where she was and didn't move. She also didn't know why she suddenly leaned close to Drew and patted his chest but it happened even before she could comprehend it. But it doesn't look so bad.
She thought back at what Natalie said to Drew, though she was in full support of his decision, she didn't think this was the right time. Judging from what she heard and understood from Natalie, there could be a consequences for Drew if he left Natalie like that when she came to see him, probably for business related things.
