Chapter 67 - Contract

Kian and Luke both clap their hands for both Ryan and David as they are successful in traversing the water around the spring. The teens are standing there under the tree that represents the Yin and Yang. Kian instructs them to sit and meditate.

"focus on one thing that is most precious to you. Focus on the one thought the spring gives you." Kian instructs.

Luke sits right next to them and watches both Ryan and David meditate.

"Now, All we have got to do is wait until their pact talks to them." Kian says and sits following Luke's action.

Ryan opens his eyes only to see a never-ending snow in a mountain. The sound of a broken stick startled him. He looked up. Standing there was a Siberian Husky.

"This is your quest." The husky speaks and walks away from Ryan. Ryan runs to catch up with him. The husky continues to walk further from Ryan. "Where am I?!"

Ryan is lost and wandered around. The snow starts to fall faster. The storm picks up speed. Ryan doesn't know what he should do, but decides to follow the husky. He stumbles upon a crying kid that may seemingly lose. He immediately rushes to get to the kid, and the husky just sits in the snow looking at him.

Ryan creates a small fire in his hand to warn the kid. "Hey kid, What are you doing here?" Ryan asks. The kid just sobs even more. "I ran away from my family." The kid replies and continues to cry.

"... do you want a hug?" Ryan offers. The kid sniffles. "Come here." Ryan says and engulfs the kid in his arms. They both just cry in each other's arms. The storm finally clears. Ryan holds the trembling kid tighter."Why did you run away like this?" Ryan whispers. The child pulls away from the embrace, "My family they are not good, They always restrict me and tell me things that I should do instead." Ryan can hear the tears in the kid's voice. Ryan rubs the kid's back gently."I had the same problem before." Ryan replies. The kid looks at him as the eyes of the little child gleams like ice. "Then what did you do?" The kid asks.

"I ran away too. But someone didn't stop trying their best to find me." Ryan replies smiling. The kid gaze at him. "Is he a family?" Ryan just smiles.

"He's more than a family…He is a person who would never stop apologizing and the person who may be a moron sometimes, But he is capable of being with others at other times." Ryan explains gladly.

The kid smiles one more, Stand and looks at Ryan. He is befuddled by the sudden act of the child.

"Did you ever accept the words he says to you?" The kid asks.

The boy looks down sadly. Ryan looks at the kid carefully, and then nods slowly. He places a comforting hand on his shoulder."Yeah, I have accepted it." Ryan responds softly. The boy just blinks. Then a considerable smile appears on his face, "Really! That's good to know." The boy exclaims excitedly. Ryan smiles at the kid and pulls him into another hug and nods affirmatively. The child returns the hug happily, and laughs, "Thank you!, I will also try to accept those things my parents told me." And he hugs Ryan tighter and tighter in response. Ryan smiles at him happily. The kid lets go of Ryan after a while, "Thank you." The kid repeats.

They are interrupted by the Husky's bark. Ryan looks at the Husky, But he tries to glanced back to where the kid was, but the kid is gone. Just a little stone on the ground. A stone that can be swallowed.

"Glad you passed. Swallow that stone and our pact will be done." The husky says, glaring at him.

In the other hand, David is in a place where the land is green. The plains are full of life. Flowers bloom sometimes, but it all has a beautiful aura to it. In the center of everything, There is a giant oak tree, which stands tall and proud. David sits in front of the tree and begins to recite scriptures. "May the Great Spirit guide your every step forward. May peace be with you until the end. May love surround you until it consumes you completely." The boy chants with a gentle smile in his face. Suddenly, the tree bursts into flames. David screams in surprise, and turns to the side. When he does, he sees a giant tiger staring at him."So are the one that will have a pact with me?" The tiger says casually. David nods. The tiger grabs his shoulders and stares intensely into his eyes."You must become a master of yourself before you can become my master."

"What is it that I must do?" David asks quietly.

"That is an answer that only you can know." The tiger answers. With that, the tiger disappears. David sits shocked still, before he gets up and begins walking towards the edge of the clearing, The sun is high in the sky. David looks around the area. The mountains were beautiful and serene. It seemed like no one else was there. He took a deep breath and smiled.

A Man appeared from his back, "So you did change a lot." David immediately looks behind as he remembers the voice.

"Son" Haedo says embracing his son.

David hesitates a second, then embraces the man. The embrace seems like it lasts forever. Finally, they separate and Haedo continues, "Are you ready? Your answer awaits." "Yes." David nods.

Haedo walks around and sits next to a River. "The flow of the water can have different paths, But despite that. They are all ended up onto a stream. The stream pushes the water into the larger bodies.". The paths the land, waiting for David to sit beside him. "Did You know what Dennis Rodman once said about the water?" David didn't know. He moves his head, indicating a no. "This life is like a swimming pool. You dive into the water, but you can't see how deep it is." Haedo says and continues, "Water has to take a path to flow and to be moved forward and backwards. If it takes a single path, that's how much power it has. " Haedo explains. "But the river that is going to take you, it has to take a path that is the opposite of what the river wants. If it doesn't take a path, then it doesn't exist." Haedo continues. "It's important for us to recognize how our thoughts, feelings, memories, beliefs can lead us astray or to create a stronger force. But if our emotions and memories control us, we may just destroy us by letting the flood take control." Haedo smiles.

"Now, What is the thing that you truly want. Is it acceptance?" Haedo asks.

David smiles, "Water is indeed astonishing father, but acceptance is not what I want. I want to have the courage to be accepted, To be who am I and to protect the people around me." David answers sincerely.

Haedo smiles and puts his hand in David's head. "You finally did, Accept yourself." Haedo smiles before disappearing. The Tiger appeared from behind. He takes David's hand in his head.

"Human, I am the mythical creature that symbolizes the courage, ambition, and commitment to others. Pleasure to be your pact." The tiger says.

Kian and Luke smile as they see that the body of the two teens is glowing. A tattoo appeared from Ryan's Right arm that resembles a Husky, While David's Left Arm resembles a tiger. Kian smiles, "They now gain a pact."
