A Sips of tea started a conversation.
"So what are you going to do now as you finally reveal who you truly are. Liam." The man in a white suit says.
He's looking at Liam through his thick rimmed glasses like he can actually read the other's soul. But no matter how much Liam pretends to want him to see right through him, he just cannot get anything out of this man.
"Exciting, I will finally get another chance to fight my old companions" Liam replies. "I would like to ask the same. What are you going to do now. Since you are once more free."
The man laughs. "Just a typical mixing of the players in my Game. They are just pawns, after all. The man says, drinking a tea.
His voice was deep and calm. The smile didn't falter, even though the other's gaze seemed almost deadly. And with that simple statement, it was clear who was the dominant one in this game. Liam couldn't hide his surprise. This person was too cool for his own good. He never took the time to look for a personality until he had to fight him. That wasn't a bad thing. Maybe they could have fun together if the other wasn't so full of himself.
"You know what's fascinating." the man continues. "How much do you care about your friends? " Liam knows he doesn't mean anyone close to him. That was obvious from the tone of his voice. It sounded more mocking than inquiring.
Liam sighs internally.
"What's interesting about them?" Liam asks.
The man sips the tea once more and smile. He held his glasses. "You are the result of their actions. Their rages. Do you know the other human always says? That Villains aren't born as they are, The others make them." The man smiles evil.
It sends shivers down Liam's spine. The man seems to notice that because he stops smiling for half a second but continues before Liam has a chance to reply. "Well, we are both created from the actions of our peers. We don't make ourselves, I suppose. So, why bother caring about those people at all? " Liam looks back into his cup. He was glad the man didn't ask any questions regarding his personal life. He wouldn't know how to respond.
"The persons you cared, The person you help. In the end, you just become the villain. How sad." The man mocks him.
Liam doesn't answer. He doesn't need to. The man just stares at him for longer while drinking a tea. Liam tries not to let the stare off scare him. He isn't scared of anything anymore.
"I couldn't believe that you manage to hide from everyone and re-appear to only manipulate someone." Liam praises the man. The man just chuckles and keeps his eyes trained on him.
"He is not easy as you think. That person is not a threat at first… but now." The man says.
"Now he is ready to make an appearance again, and I think you know exactly what I'm talking about." he finishes his sentence with an evil chuckle. A small smirk playing on his lips.
Liam thinks about it carefully. This man seems to know everything. From Liam's origins to his motives for coming to this city. "Maybe, perhaps not." Liam responds.
The man raises his eyebrows in surprise and smiles. "That depends. What do you want to know?"
"About why you are doing all this." Liam answers slowly and deliberately. His heart pounding against his chest.
The man stops sipping his tea and look at Liam while smiling. "I thought you are a Villain. It appears that you still have a good heart, don't you?" The man's says.
Liam shakes his head in disgust. "You are a monster." he says. And then he leaves. Leaving the man staring blankly after him. The mug in his hand remains untouched.
And when he walks past the entrance to the café, he hears the stranger chuckle. "You have got some guts." the stranger said while smirking. "You may be a Villain now, But I still have power over you." the man added after that as he turns around. With an ominous gleam in his eye.
The environment shifted to an space. The man transforms himself to a formal gentleman where he starts to punch Liam. Liam dodges. The man gets angrier and attacks faster. Liam tries to block the punches. But every time he sees a glimpse of the man in the black jacket, he finds himself dodging instead of blocking and getting punched. He doesn't know how long this goes on. But when Liam feels exhausted, the man stops punching for a moment. A hint of satisfaction can be seen through his dark gray eyes. He stands up straight and turns around. '
'You won't last forever.' he said simply and left. He didn't say whether he was referring to Liam or the whole situation. Nevertheless it was obvious that the stranger wanted to use Liam for his agenda. The way he was acting earlier spoke volumes. And his words rang true.
Liam collapses to the floor. He takes off his shoes and rubs the soles of his feet against each other. It did little to relieve the throbbing pain of being beaten up by someone older, stronger and more experienced.
"You are not David anymore, You are Liam, the person who will end everything." The man says, laughing. "Who really are you!" Liam shouts. Which the man just smiles. "I don't have a name. The world didn't make me the villain yet." The man says, laughing as he began to dissapeared.
Liam blinks and he re-appears in the front of the Store. The man was gone. All of Liam's injuries were healed, and his clothes are clean. Everything was completely silent and cold around him. There were a few pedestrians walking around him in the street, but otherwise nothing else is happening. Liam decides to go home. Maybe there's something to eat there. Liam makes his way towards his house as quietly as possible and enters without encountering any trouble.
