"This feels like paradise!", Adriana said as she entered the large two bedroom lounge reserved for them by her father.
"Indeed it is. Imagine we hadn't left that woman, how would we get this all to ourselves!", Dave said, closing the door behind him.
"True true, but let's not think about that miserable family. What we should think about is the fact that we came here to unwind and enjoy!", Adriana said, sitting on the very comfortable chair which she had been eyeing since they entered the lounge.
"Unwind and enjoy…", Dave drawled before he continued.
"Speaking of enjoy, I saw their brochures, and I must say I'm quite impressed. You're probably jet lagged, go shower and come back to eat, and then I'll advice getting some sleep afterwards!", He said, a big smile on his face as he brought out his phone to call the room service.
Adriana had a smirk on her face as she headed to her room.
'this is freaking fantastic', she thought.
Since Dave and Paula divorced and he ran with all her money, he and Adriana had been going from country to country, literally behaving like greedy people who won the lottery.
They were currently in the Maldives, shut off from the world, as they knew they couldn't risk giving away their location. They didn't want to get caught.
Nobody liked the fact that they absconded with all that money, the hate they didn't know they had for them becoming apparent, solidifying into the urge to strip them of all the wealth they accumulated.
At least while everybody was hating, one person was still in disbelief about the whole thing, because he believed he had known the whole truth. He had no inkling that the father daughter duo also kept him in the dark.
Collin's POV
After Trisha came by my apartment, leaving me dumbstruck because I didnt know how she had figured out where I lived, nor did I understand the part where she said Adriana and Dave had left the country.
Ever since Adriana's freak episode about Trisha finding out we were dating or cheating, she never called me.
I knew the plan involved me being with them, I mean flying out of the country together, what I didn't expect that they had gone without me.
I had called and called and called, but neither Adriana or Dave licked up my call.
What Trisha told me…
Could it be that they had left me behind?
This was all too much, how was I going to keep the fact that I had shown interest in Trisha when it was all a lie.
How could they do this to me, I I thought she loved me.
Now it all made sense, all the times I called, of when I tried looking for her. She left me, she left me.
The harsh realization sunk in, and the burn in my chest only intensified she left me. Disregarding the cup, I chugged the whole bottle, crying me eyes out.
The next few days were going to brutal, I just knew it.
Trisha's POV
I couldn't help but think about the first ever relationship I had. The first ever man I had genuine feelings for.
I know…
I keep going round and round, living in denial and trying to betray my feelings.
Even if I didn't want to cry it hurts.
So, I had to stop the car to get a breather, I didn't think I could drive in that state.
Then, like a broken tap, memories started to rush back.
I sighed in disbelief, how could I not have figured it out this whole time?
As the lone tear streamed form my left eye, I promised myself, that was the last time I was going to shed any tears for that man.
He didn't deserve any bit of my affection, not a single thing.
I took my phone and removed it from silent, there I saw the amount of calls, Elle and Anthony had left me.
'If I was going through all these things I did have to be a good host', I said out loud to no one in particular.
I didn't know what was next, or my next big thing, but one thing's for sure, I had to finish the task at hand.
I needed to drive home safely.
