Do other people think about their actions as much as I do? Most of us tend to assume that we are different from others. In general, that we are better in one thing or another. Then we make that the standard by which we judge other people. But these people never use that standard to justify discrimination. After all everyone knows that people that think they are better than everyone else are elitist trash.
"…Most of you will let these precious years to better yourself slip past you. Waste your time making meaningless relationships with your classmates. Calling it friendship when it's only skin deep and you will break contact right after high school. And, in the future, you will live by working long hours with a job you hate and pass on that hate to your children-"
At that point in my speech for the entrance ceremony, the vice principle dragged me off the podium. She didn't even give a reason. All she said is "I expected better from you, Asahi."
Stupid old hag – acting like she knew me.
I'm sorry… It not that I hated her. That would be unfair. It is only natural, for people not to be able to understand each other. But… I hate it. Wouldn't it be nice to have one person that's able to understand you completely?
"!"
Suddenly, somebody fell beside my desk. It is a boy. He had dropped his notebook and a few of the pages had come loose.
"I'm sorry. Please, excuse me."
As the boy hurried to pick up the papers that he dropped, I noticed that there was a drawing that looked like me. I picked it up out of curiosity.
The hand work on it was so clean – like it was drawn by professional.
"Hi, my name is Hitoshi. You are Asahi, right? You looked really cool in the entrance ceremony, yesterday…"
That's right, this was a drawing of me at the entrance ceremony…
More importantly! There is a boy taking to me! Calm down, this just an accident he's just talking to you out of politeness. He just wants the his drawing back.
"..."
No. There was no point talking to him. If I try to be friendly with people, it will only end in us being hurt. I will end up disappointing everyone. Just like before…
I handed him back the drawing and took my seat again. This was for the best.
"If you don't mind, can I draw you again?"
Why was he saying something like that?! Wasn't he angry that I just ignored him…
I glared at Hitoshi. That didn't seemed to much effect at all either. Now that take a good look at him though, this boy is kind of cute…
He just wants to draws to draw me, right? If it's only that, then it should be okay…
"D-do what you like."
