note: I'm sorry for missing the update yesterday. I had some personal matters to attend to.

After he met with his grandfather, John sat in place for the next 30 minutes, lost in thought about what had just transpired. It was clear to him that none of what happened today was supposed to happen, leaving him utterly confused.

"What the hell is going on? Seriously, things that weren't supposed to happen are happening, and it doesn't make sense. For even if my return to the past changed things, it doesn't make sense for Grandfather to visit me. Hell, it takes a day just to get to the imperial capital from the Emrys duchy, so he would have left the duchy far before I returned to the past. So many questions, the answers to which I have none," John muttered to himself.

Suddenly, John remembered his conversation with Geoffrey in the tavern. Geoffrey had told him about the founding emperor's ability to form a full-body mana core and how he had used it to create the empire they lived in. John had been skeptical at first, but now he couldn't shake the feeling that this ancient and largely forgotten art may hold the answers he was seeking.

"I'll just go to the library. Maybe looking at the records of the founding emperors will take my mind off this until Pallas and Kostas wake up," John decided, getting up and heading straight for the library connected to his palace. "I do genuinely hope they wake up soon. My mind is in complete shambles right now."

The old man, Jared, watched as John stormed into the library, his cloak billowing behind him. He had always been an impatient one, Jared thought to himself as he sighed and leaned back in his chair.

"Greetings, your highness," Jared said in the most unenthusiastic voice he could muster, trying his best to hide the annoyance that John's presence always brought him. "What brings you here this fine morning?"

"Hello to you too, Jared," John replied, his tone just as annoyed as Jared's. "I'm just here to look for a book. I'll leave once I find it."

"If that is the case," Jared said, his voice laced with a hint of sarcasm, "then tell me what book you are looking for, and I'll tell you where it is likely to be."

"I'm looking for records from the previous emperors," John said, his brow furrowing in frustration.

"Then you should probably head to the records of emperors subsection, in the R section, over there on the right," Jared said, gesturing to the appropriate section of the library.

"Well then, Jared, I appreciate the help," John said, his tone a little less annoyed.

"You may go get your book now," Jared said, his voice dripping with disdain.

"Fine, I shall get out of your hair then," John said, storming off towards the R section.

John sighed in relief as he walked through the R section of the massive library, muttering to himself, "Good lord, how big is this place? Now, time to find the records of the founding emperor." After ten more minutes of searching, he finally found the book he was looking for and exclaimed, "Finally!"

As he began flipping through the pages of the ancient book, John's excitement grew as he discovered that the founding emperor had possessed the rare and extraordinary ability to form a full-body mana core, something thought to be impossible by most. "Could it be true?" he thought to himself. "This could be the key to unlocking my full potential."

However, as he read on, John realized the dangers of attempting to form a full-body core. Many had tried and failed, some even losing their lives in the process. "Is it worth the risk?" he asked himself, conflicted. "The power and strength of a full body core are undeniable, but at what cost?"

After a moment of contemplation, John made his decision. He would keep the book and its contents a secret, at least for now. He knew that there would be many challenges and dangers ahead, and he didn't want to risk anyone else getting hurt because of his ambitions. He carefully placed the book in his bag, making sure it was well hidden, knowing that many would do anything to get their hands on such valuable information.

As he walked towards the training grounds, John knew he had to be cautious. He couldn't risk anyone finding out about the full-body mana core, especially his rivals. He knew the road ahead would be filled with challenges and dangers, but he was determined to overcome them. He knew that the only way to achieve his goal of forming a full-body mana core was through hard work and dedication. He was determined to push himself to his limits and become the strongest mana user in the land.

10 minutes later, John stood in the middle of the training hall, facing his trainer Joseph. He was dressed in his training attire and ready to begin his workout.

"Your Highness, I see that you have arrived on time," Joseph said with a nod.

"I prefer to be quite punctual with my time. Waiting isn't a hobby of mine," John replied with a determined look in his eyes.

"I see. Well then, let's get started. First, just like yesterday, you'll start by running until your body is about to give up. After that, we'll move on to more active exercises like push-ups, squats, and jumping jacks. However, we won't be using any weights today, as we don't want your height to stagnate," Joseph explained as he demonstrated the various exercises.

"Now, don't waste any time. Start running, FAST FAST FAST!" Joseph shouted, clapping his hands to signal the start of the workout.

John took off, his feet pounding against the floor as he began his warm-up run. He knew that he had to push himself to his limits if he wanted to achieve the formation of a full-body mana core. He was determined to unlock the full potential of his power, no matter how difficult the journey might be.

As he ran, John's thoughts drifted back to the ancient book he had discovered in the library. He couldn't shake the feeling that the formation of a full-body mana core was the key to achieving true greatness. He knew that the process would be difficult and dangerous, but he was willing to take the risk.John pushed himself harder, running faster and longer than he ever had before. He was drenched in sweat by the time he finally came to a stop, panting and exhausted. He still had a long way to go before he could even consider attempting the formation of a full-body mana core. But he was determined to get there, no matter the cost.

The evening exercise ended soon after, and John returned to his room feeling drained of all energy. On his way there, he met Alfred, who asked him about dinner.

"Your Highness, you look utterly dreadful," Alfred said.

"What is it, Alfred? I have no energy in me for a meaningless conversation right now," John replied.

"Oh, of course, Your Highness. I was just wondering where and what you will be having for dinner, but seeing your current state, it would be safe for me to assume that you'd like a high-protein dinner delivered to your room, correct?" Alfred asked.

"If you know, then get to it. I have little energy to keep this conversation going, so get going," John said.

"At once, Your Highness," Alfred replied, before rushing off to fulfill John's request.
