Abigail was so preoccupied with the scenery outside that she didn't notice him come in.
Christopher closed the door behind him slowly. He was happy after the meeting and wanted to rejoice.
Despite his light steps as he moved over, Abigail felt someone's presence and turned around.
"At long last, you are back. I've been thinking..."
She forgot what she was about to say when he moved in closer to her, staring at her intensely.
She retreated and gasped as she felt the cold, rigid glass wall on her back.
Christopher took another step toward her and put his hand against the wall, leaning over her.
"What are you saying?"
"Uh… I… mm…" She stuttered, staring at him.
How was she supposed to remember anything when he was so close to her?
Her brain had already shut down the moment she inhaled his familiar citrus scent, and her mind recalled what they had been doing in the car.
