Chapter 94 - Chapter 93- Reaping the Harvest Part 1

1 Dungeon day later

"Ugh… my head…"

I woke up, head pounding like a sledgehammer hitting brittle dry wall. Coming to my senses, I noticed I was not where I expected to be. Originally, I thought after passing out, someone would come by and take Ivy and I to a different more comfortable place. Instead, I awoke to ivy still in my embrace while I sat beside that dirt wall I made earlier.

Glancing down at Ivy, I noticed she was doing much better than before, and should be okay to travel. As I gently caressed her soft supple cheeks, she smiled and slowly opened her eye.

"Yuriy, my love."

Smiling down at her, I continued to caress her face as I inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. We stayed like this for another hour or so, Ivy nestling in my chest and I sitting against this dirt wall. While we sat there, Anansi and Katya appeared from the right of us. It looks like they set up camp about 3m away. (Guess that explains why we are still here and not somewhere else.)

See that we both were awake, Katya hastily came over and hugged us both tight; her eyes overflowing with tears. I could tell she was afraid something might have happened to either of us. But I don't think we were in any real danger, right? After crying her eyeballs out for 10 minutes, Katya calmed down aa little, and starting speak.

"I was worried. Ivy you ran off when the fighting started, but didn't come back. After we saw you fly away Yuriy, no one expected you to turn into a giant. Only to later disappear. It took us half a day yesterday to find you both. And when w looked over your condition, Cavilhaugh said you both were in critical condition. Any movement may make it worse."

Well… shit! Looks like I was closer to another reincarnation than I thought (Wouldn't want to hear that bitch Uriel's voice). Ivy's condition must have gotten worse while I was passed out, but it didn't seem that way to me. Well whatever the case, we are okay now. As I consoled my sister, Horus and the children made way towards my direction and knelt down.

When Anansi saw their respectful gesture, he chuckled and head back to camp knowing everything was okay. I on the other hand repositioned myself as now both Katya and Ivy were perched on my lap. (It's a good thing Katya is a true and blue 10-sols-old, as she sat in Ivy's lap who sat in mine.) Seeing Anansi walk away, I began to speak to the children.

"Horus, you have all performed well during this mission. I would have like to have sent out everyone; however, the dungeon could not support such a number during the summoning. Regardless, I officially give you and all of the children the right to move between dungeon floors at will. Anything you see fit to take, you may have as long as the floor guardians allow it. Accept this as a reward for you performance."

"On behalf of your children, I thank you master for this reward!"

Horus replied. With our conversation in elvish, Katya and Ivy both heard everything that was said. They now knew why the children were bowing to me, but still had questions about how they got here. Even I don't know how that happened. But I knew who did, Cavilhaugh. Turning my head in his direction, I used Thought Speech to get his attention.

"Cavilhaugh, I thought you only knew how to summon elementals. How did you summon dungeon residents from the newer floors?"

Hearing my sudden question directly in his mind, Cavilhaugh jumped up franticly; dropping his notes and tea onto the ground. After gathering his things, he proceeded to come over fuming at his most recent display.

"Yuriy… you!!'

"What about me?"

"You…you… UGH!!"

Seeing Cavilhaugh act like this was kinda funny to say the least. I asked him again, this time he answered say,

"I see you like my newer summoning spell! Look at my summons! They are the best of the best. But I don't know what they are. I guess I'll just have to name them…"

"Hold your horses there, cowboy. These are not elementals but dungeon residents like I just said. Additionally, their indeed has a name, one I gave them as I am their creator."

Finished speaking, IO watched Cavilhaugh turn red, then blue and finally pale.

"You… Created them!?"

"Yes. I guess there's no point hiding it now. Anansi come join us. There's a lot to talk about and not much time to do it."

Saying this, we all gathered together and I dropped the skinny on what happened in the dungeon core chamber. Naturally, I left out some of the more delicate details. But I was more than happy to talk about the Dungeon Master trial. Hearing my story, my party got the full picture and understood what I meant when I first told them I had completed our quest and stuff.

Once they understood the bigger picture, a new problem arose. What do we say in our report to the guild? This would prove to be a real problem. Technically speaking, we were obligated to report everything that occurred on the mission, regardless of how trivial or unimportant we thought it might be.

The League of Adventurers would archive our report, and compare it to previously archived reports regarding monsters movements, dungeon changes and other related information based on the mission we accepted. If we withhold key information, it may lead to the deaths of many people, Adventurers included. However, what we currently have is way too much of a danger for them to know.

If I were to report, I am the current Dungeon Master, this would make me a target. Add in the dungeon's original ranking grew due to me creating a brand new race of 1 billion members strong, and I am officially fucked. Every organization would hunt me down for all of my resources, or use me as a ;ab rat or some shit. I'll pass on that, thanks. Therefore, we needed to come up with a way to not lie about what happened, but not tell the whole truth.
