Chapter 68 - Chapter 67- Enter the Dungeon Master Trials Part 2

Stepping through the portal to the mountain enclosed forest, I was surprised to find my ability to sense and evoke magoi was not restricted. It was a blessing as I am not physically floating here. Moving forward, I planned to forgo any base method of transportation. This area seemed to be way too large for me to travel on foot.

No longer restraining my bloodline radiation, I took to the sky using wind magoi in hopes to get a better lay of the land. Once high enough, my earlier assumption came to be true. The territory was a quarter of the size of this dungeon's floors at 2.84 million km². It would be better to call this a country and not a territory in my opinion.

Regardless, I need to survey where all the needed resources for construction can be found. Still using wind magoi and adding neutral magoi around my body as a windshield, I began flying in the sky. My flight speed was swift enough for the map in the system menu to register everything in this area from rare herbs locations, large bodies of water, quality lumber sites, to stone quarry, potential mining sites and ideal places to build my base.

After spending 2 and a half days surveying the area, I had a fairly good image of the area. To the southern forest area was a massive stone quarry with a considerable number of caves leading to ore and vital mineral deposits. In the center of the forest was a mountain about 7,200 meters high and with an approximate circumference of 3.76 km (radius of .598 km).

Towards the middle layer of the mountain is a plateau of about 500 mc with a small lake pouring off the mountain into a 20m deep ring of fresh water completely surrounding the mountain. To the north of the mountain is a massive monster cradle containing monsters not native to this dungeon. Lastly, to the east were villages or settlements of sorts and the west contained nothing of notable mention since the entire area was filled with the best lumber I could use, Emerald Oak!

Given the Ideal vantage point on the mountain, I decided to make that place my base of operations. I will need to somehow gather enough forces needed for construction since there's no way I can build everything in time by myself. While thinking on this, I began shifting the inside of the mountain with earth magoi, creating a network of tunnels and a separate water channel leading to the foot of the mountain.

Additionally, I had evoked earth magoi to create natural rings below my abode. These lower strata will be used for housing and elevated defense installations. Everything will setup to encircle the mountain for complete visibility from all side.

Once at the base of the mountain, I started flying towards the settlements since I need abled bodied worker for my territory. After less than 15 minutes I reached my first settlement. As I approached, I was spotted by the tribals of the settlement. Cautiously while somewhat restraining the radiation I gave off I proceeded forward, but still remained in the air. Once I was close enough to the village, I was able to get a good look at the natives.

The village was full of elf-like beings but nothing like the ones on Ohmdorra. These elves were thin with obnoxiously pointed ears and blond hair. Despite being primitive, they all were beautiful. (I mean, damn...) Their beauty was to the point of putting any model or actor/actress to shame (must be something in the water).

The tribal elves seeing me, marveled and fell to their knees. Their actions were as if they were beholding a descending god (not this again…sigh). Annoyed by their unnecessary fear and worship, I used magoi to cause each of them to rise to their feet. At the same time, I attempted to speak to them in a manner which was universal, mind speech.

In the 100 Earth years I was in the inheritance realm with Uncle Yuriy, I was forced to learn the method which all dragons speak. The dragons, with the exception of demonic dragons, do not speak as the races do but are telepathic. The races: however, don't have a natural ability to converse via telepathy; therefore, Uncle had me learn an arcane art solely meant for telepathy called Thought Projection.

After learning this arcane art, I was able to speak as the dragons do, but with many downsides. Since the arcane art is a passive magic spell, it remains active so long as magoi is present either ambient magoi, magoi crystals or my own internal magoi. Meaning, I have to consciously focus on how I am communicating with others unless I allow my thoughts to be sent to people against my will.

At first even the smallest glance, and spike in emotion caused my thoughts to pour out to people. This was exceptionally interesting to see as occasionally, my thoughts assault the bandits I killed once I noticed them. I enjoyed watching them turn pale as I unintentionally told them how I would kill them slowly like stripping paint of a brittle wooden door. Then loot their bodies while enjoying the orchestra of their death throes.

One bandit even shit himself and tried to slit his own throat… I headshot him with an earth spear before he could finish the job. Anyhow, I don't want my thoughts to flood these people here. If that happens my effort for civility will be in vain. Clearing my (mental) throat, I addressed the tribal elves,

"Hold your peace, young elflings. I come with peaceful intent. Who among you is the Elder? Please step forward."

The tribal elves spoke amongst themselves in a foreign language I didn't have the desire to learn at this point. Eventually, an elderly couple came before me. Both slowly walked up while being supported by 2 young men.

As they approached, they almost fell to their knees like the rest until I used magoi to support them. The elderly man spoke out man in their language, to which I inwardly scowled. Fuck! I forgot to evoke the spell need for me to understand the fuck their saying. Waving my hand, a fog of magoi encircles the village and gently fills each person. Noticing the change, the elderly man spoke up again,

"Oh, Deva of the world above, we plead for your mercy! I am the elder of this worthless tribe. Oh, Deva what must we do to appease your anger?"

(Bruh, I…AM…NOT…A…GOD!!! fuuuu…) Taking a deep breath I descended to the ground and spoke,

"I am no god, elfling. I have come in search of those who may fulfill a task for me. Know I will not ask of you, something you cannot do, nor will I ask of your labors without returning to you fitting payment. But first I must know… are there any among you able to cause the land, water, air, or fire to move as they will?"

After asking, I created a ball of earth which shifted from soil to steel and back, a small well of water, a swift sphere of warm air, and a blue fire for all to see what I was asking for. The tribal elves marveled at what I had done some even looked on with a growing desire to do what I did. The Elder, after seeing my display replied,

"Oh, Deva…"

"Hey, enough with the Deva." I cut the elder off,

"Look at me… look at my ears. I am no more mortal than you are, only I am a different kind of elf. I am no god but a man as you."

"My apologize, good sir… It's just, no one can do what you have don't just now; not even the other tribes in this forest can create what you have, only the gods can." The Elder said, bowing his head to hide his fear and shame.

"That is where you are mistaken, elfling. All Elven folk have this ability. How many other tribes of are in this area?" I asked

"There are half as many tribes as there are people in our camp sir." Scanning the tribal elves, I noticed they total 50 individuals including children. Based on what he said, there should be about 25 tribes.

"Very well, starting today, I will impart unto your tribe the wisdom and power that has been offered freely to me and my people…"

Creating an illusion similar to the ones the dark elf teacher made so many sols ago, I told the story of the Celestial dragons and the teachings of the Elder Spirits. The tribal elves listened without complaint or doubt. Their demeanor was much like little children cleaving to their parents during story time.

The illusions before them were a miraculous thing to them, causing the eyes of both young and old to glow. Their yearning for such an ability was very evident in their amazement. They were pure to the point of being children. So I had been unconsciously calling them elflings for how young and innocent the tribe had been acting.
