Chapter 26 - Chapter 25- Divine Territory Part 1

Fast forwarding…

It has been 30 days since my extermination hunt for manticore. Since then, I have gone out hunting monsters, collected rare herbs and minerals like a madman. Further, I delivered many unique monster corpses to Ivy, gaining even more rewards for the repeatable quest. Mmm… at this rate, I might get the achievement "Layer of pipe!"… (wink)

Apparently so! After all I have done for the mandrake, Ivy wants to mate with me. When we last spoke she said its cause I have a divine body. Her mandrake seedlings fertilized with my c** may grow to be closer to their dryad cousins.

In all honesty, I psychologically need sex more than ever right now. This sexual draught has been going on for billions of years!! Now some thot wants that vitamin d, but this body can't provide what's in demand!

While in a frenzy, I even began using Nature's bounty to get my d*** wet. Although I practice the arcane art often, I am nowhere near being able to manipulate my body to match my height and weight to when I was in my 20s on Earth.

(Snap out of it, you horny old man!! (mentally slapping my face) I mean… sorry plant thot… but your gonna have to wait until I grow up… Not that… I don't… have any plans on… having sex with you since… you know… you're a plant(?) (says the guy who bangs every female looking character in games after installing sex mods).

Anyway, I am on my way back to the dark elf settlement since I have a brand-new haul of goods to trade. Upon my arrival, I am met by Andy and my sisters as usual. I can't wait to see Katya's progress. Last time, I came to the settlement about 2 weeks ago.

After much effort, Katya had created her first golem. It took the appearance of an eagle about 4 feet tall and a wingspan of 9 feet. She had given it the ability to transmit what it sees to a small receiver which even provides detailed descriptions of everything caught in its sight should one need it.

I was feeling very proud of my twin's accomplishment. As a result, we celebrated by throwing a pseudo birthday party for Gwenn the eagle golem. Currently, once I was close enough to the trio, Saphire ran towards me as fast as her little legs would allow,

"Yuyu! Yuyu! Your back! Your back!"

"Hello, princess! Give your brother a big hug! Now up we go!"

As usual I hugged then carried my little sister in my arms as I reach Andy and Katya. It feels like a lifetime ago since I've come back, but it's only been 2 weeks.

"Hey Andy, thanks for looking after my sisters." I said, to which he nodded but said nothing. I turned to Katya with a smile and said,

"Hey, partner in crime! how goes the training?"

"Hey Yuriy! I am working on a new golem using mom's golems as an example. Wanna see the first round of test?"

Katya asked. The last time I came by, besides Gwenn, she showed me her formula for another golem. Curious, I looked over her work and we passed around ways to make it better and more efficient.

Are you saying, she created a Novice stage surveillance golem? Then not long afterwards went and began creating a prototype for the combat golem!? At the young age of 6 sols no less!? I am looking forward to her future progress.

"Sure! I just have to visit the hunters and trade for some more goods first."

After confirming when testing would begin, we walked into the settlement and headed for the area where goods are sold. In this part of the settlement, craftsmen, hunters, cooks, and all other trades work and sell their goods. Even bartering is allowed, granted you have something of value to them.

It took about 45 minutes for me to sell/barter all the monster parts, raw minerals, and unique herbs I found. This batch of goods were separated out for making money. While another batch is to be used when the need arises. Once finished, we headed to the Alchemic Craftsman's workshop.

Here, Katya presented the prototype golem code name Geoff (for Geoffrey). The golem stood at 2 and half meters tall, and 3/4th of a meter wide. The golem was currently headless as the head is where the chaos core and other magoi absorbing stones go.

Currently, Katya is testing the golem's ability to walk, run, bend, sit and other simple tasks. For only 2 weeks' worth of experimenting, the golem has come a long way. But it doesn't look like it will be combat ready for at least another 3 to 5 weeks.

After the initial testing phase was finished, Katya began adjusting her formula. With the guidance of the leading Alchemic Craftsman, she continued growing as she learned. After about an hour, it was time for me to speak with the Elder. Parting with the trio, I headed towards the Elder's house in the center of the settlement.

I have yet to inform him of all the changes to the ancestral glade. Don't know how it slipped my mind when I last returned, but now is the best time to do so. When I found him, he came over and greeted me as he usually does,

"Ah, Young Yuriy. It is good to see you are faring well. What brings you today?"

"Elder, I need to inform you of all the changes to the glade."

"Ah, I have anticipated this for a while given it's been some time since that mist shrouded it. Come, fill me in on the details."

Heading into his office, I began telling the elder of what happened including my training report. After about an hour, Elder Alamdarra was sitting quietly but I could see the excitement in his eyes. After considering everything mentioned, the Elder broke his silence,

"This is good news, incredibly good news. Not only is the Sire gone from the forest, but almost all its ilk and a stray wendigo!? Such feats are worthy of praise! In other news, the glade has experienced an evolution of sorts. Interesting development indeed."

The elder pondered over the information I provided. After about 10 or so minutes, he lifted his head from the books and notes on his desk,

"If it's okay with you, I would like you to take a few elves to the Ancestral Glade when you return. Don't worry, I too will join you and the caravan. I believe with there being a greater spirit inhabiting the glade as a protector, a smaller satellite settlement could harvest resources from the forest much more safely than before."

"I understand. Using the glade as a waystation of sorts between the settlement and resources found deeper in the forest is a good idea. However, you seem to be interested in something else, correct?" I replied. Elder Alamdarra answered saying,

"Indeed, young Yuriy. Given the presence of a guardian spirit, in the future more spirits will begin to be born there and even a few older spirits will migrate to the glade. If smaller altars to the Elder Spirits and the Creator are erected, the glade may expand again. Thus, turning the area into a holy place where all the elements are present in their purest form."

"It's not my place to decline your request since your clan is the one who created the glade in the first place." I replied not really knowing what to say. It was here the Elder pointed out how wrong I was,

"Young Yuriy, that glade is indeed yours as not only have you fully awakened your divine endowment there, but your ancestor used to live in that cabin in the center of the lake. If that's not enough proof, then consider this."

"From what you have told me, during the awakening process you allowed enough magoi to saturate the area, creating a high spirit. Further, with you naming the spirit it immediately evolved into a greater spirit. Only Spirit Kings, the Elder Spirits, and divine beings can perform what you have down. However, it normally takes centuries for the spirit to be born and a few thousand sols before they have a chance to evolve into a greater spirit."

"In short, you have created a divine territory for spirits to live in this world. Not just any spirits mind you. Only those closest to evolving into higher level spirits. Maybe even spirits with the likelihood of evolving into the successors of the Elder Spirits might appear."

When the Elder mentioned everything, I couldn't help thinking about uncle's task which requires me to purify both the Elder Spirits of light and darkness. This may be the first step towards that objective. Also, I might be able to transform the glade into something else. Let's say… a kingdom or organization's headquarters perhaps…

After discussing with the Elder for a bit longer, we concluded on the next step. When I returned to my training, I will be accompanied by 14 dark elves from various specialties alongside the Elder. Additionally, my sisters and Andy will join us as the glade will be the best place for golem creation and Saphire will be safe since Andy and Shenlong are present.

We will set out in 3 days on the 27th day of Winter, leaving 8 weeks and 2 days left in our trip before Andy, my sisters and I return home. During our trip's remaining time, the Elder will supervise my development when I begin the Race Restoration ritual. His reasons… it will take 2-3 days for the ritual to be complete, and anything could happen (with my bad luck, anything will happen).

I tried turning him down, but he insisted saying,

"If you are able to succeed in your attempt, not only would you be returning to the elven bloodline origin, but you'll be establishing a foundation for all elves. Meaning, you will be providing a chance for all elves to reach the state of atavism, not just dark elves."

I couldn't argue with his reasoning, so I agreed. However, I had one condition. Only the Elder would be allowed near the ritual site. After recalling uncle's warnings regarding our curse, I didn't want my sisters nearby. For all I know, they could be harmed as collateral damage from this ritual.
