Mom said, tears slowly pouring from her face. After yesterday's talk about Katya and I going on a pilgrimage, dad swiftly proceeded to take all of our equipment. But he allowed me to keep my signet ring. Then again, he can't take it even if he wanted to.
The reason being that I am the current head of the Markov lineage. It would be a highly dishonorable act to take the signet ring of another family's patriarch. (I am glade they don't know this ring is the gateway to my inventory.) It was indeed a blessing in disguise.
