My name is Christina Santos, and I'm here to tell you a story. I'm not really good with stories but just bear with me here.
Let me tell you some things about me, I grew up pretty much almost by myself most of my life, I'm not really used to talking to people and I never really had any friends, it was just me and my little brother Cyrus for the most of it and he's probably the only friend I had, as depressing as that sounds.
My parents went on business trips a lot but they usually wouldn't let us come with them, but when they did, it was usually with their rich friends and their kids–who I usually hung out with but I wouldn't say we're close, I don't think they really like me very much anyway.
When I was old enough to attend school, my parents enrolled me in Bellarose Academy, one of the top and elite schools here in Urbina. You either had to have really good brains or a really deep wallet if you wanted to get in. And in my case, my parents had deep pockets—they're friends with some of the school's admins and the director so I got an easy pass in, but I say I have pretty good brains too (but I was 5 so I guess you could argue with that).
School's alright, I'm not really an active student, but I have pretty good grades if I do say so myself. Though I do spend most of my time alone, I don't really have many friends, unlike what a lot of people think, but I wouldn't say I'm a friendly person anyway. But I'm fine with that, that's how I like things. Quiet.
I think the reason why people think I have many friends is because I know and sometimes hang out with some of the rich kids in my school, but we barely talk and I'm just with them because my parents want me to be.
I thought all my life I'd just be alone, living my quiet life, minding my own business, but….one school day changed that. In fact it changed everything.
