Chapter 40 - Apartment

"Where are you taking me?" Liang Yan sat up vigilantly, still unwilling to give up.

However, the car door was already locked. Pei Yu calmly watched her struggle for a long time before she finally resigned herself to fate and sat down. The corners of his mouth curled into an imperceptible smile.

Liang Yan thought that her resistance just now would definitely make him hate her even more. She moved to the side and sat on the seat furthest away from Pei Yu, afraid of touching him.

Pei Yu saw her little movements. Anger gradually ignited in his eyes, but he still looked at her silently, making Liang Yan's face heat up and she lowered her head.

Pei Yu sat down beside Liang Yan and pulled the little woman who had her head lowered into his arms. Only then did he realize that she was so thin that the bones in her shoulders were about to hurt his hand. His fingertips trembled imperceptibly.

Liang Yan was pulled into a gentle embrace. She felt the man's hand on her shoulder, but it gradually tightened, as if he was afraid that she would escape.

Her heart was pounding and her face was burning, but she had learned her lesson and did not dare to let herself sink.

This was because Pei Yu's words always stung her and woke her up instantly.

The two of them didn't speak, as if they had fallen into this moment of silence with an unspoken mutual understanding.

Liang Yan could hear Pei Yu's heartbeat clearly. It was the strong heartbeat of an adult man.

'But…'

Liang Yan suddenly sat up straight. He already had a fiancée. She could be his lover, but she could not be his mistress. This was her bottom line. After all, she was so dirty.

She secretly mocked herself.

Pei Yu saw her sitting up straight in a panic and frowned slightly. He felt that she did not want him to touch her.

The anger in his heart intensified. He reached out and hugged her even more tightly.

Liang Yan did not dare to struggle anymore. She could feel the man's gradually tightening grip and his vigorous anger. She knew that Pei Yu was already on the verge of losing his temper, so she did not dare to touch his raw nervers.

The car drove all the way to an apartment. Liang Yan looked at the familiar apartment in front of her in shock.

Five years. She had lived here for five years, waiting for Pei Yu day and night. Only she knew how difficult it was.

There was only indifference in her eyes. She pressed her hand against her aching chest and said coldly to Pei Yu, "Why did you bring me here? We're over now. I hope you understand."

Pei Yu did not say anything. He got out of the car and opened the door on one side of Liang Yan. "Get out."

He had always spoken to her in a commanding tone.

Even when they did that kind of thing, she was always on the receiving end and he would never be gentle to her.

Liang Yan closed her eyes and got out of the car.

Pei Yu carried her bridal style and walked into the apartment. Liang Yan felt like she was his food. After tossing and turning many times, she finally returned to the dining table again.

It was extremely embarrassing.

What was he trying to do? How many times did he have to humiliate her before he was willing to let her go?

Liang Yan grabbed the collar of his shirt and bit down hard on Pei Yu's neck.

Her hatred, her grievances, and her grievances were all in this merciless bite.

Pei Yu exhaled, but he was not angry. He let her bite him fiercely and carried her upstairs without saying a word.

It was all so familiar, the layout, the smell. Even the location of the TV remote control hadn't changed when she'd left.

Liang Yan tasted blood in her mouth, but she was not angry when she heard Pei Yu's cold voice. "Are you done biting me?"

It was as if he was treating a pet with rare patience.

Liang Yan trembled and finally opened her mouth. She saw a row of deep teeth marks on his fair neck, with blood seeping out.

Liang Yan wiped her hands nonchalantly and tidied his collar.

Pei Yu stopped in his tracks and chuckled. "At least you have a conscience."

When Liang Yan heard his words, she was angry again. She returned the money to him without asking for anything. She had loved him for five years, and in exchange, he said that she had a conscience. Where was his conscience?

She felt a dull pain in her chest.

Liang Yan bit down fiercely again. She had finally done what she had always wanted to do. Her heart ached, but she felt happy.

Pei Yu hissed and threw her into the bed. He leaned over and pressed himself against her.

Their breaths intertwined, and he bit her neck as if he was punishing her.

Liang Yan hit him with all her might in pain. She kicked him and kicked Pei Yu's lower abdomen.

Pei Yu let go of her in pain and looked at her fiercely.

Liang Yan glared at him, her eyes vigilant and careful, like a little beast caught by a hunter. She sat up, hugged her body, and said to him, "President Pei, take care of yourself. Otherwise, I won't be polite to you."

Pei Yu's indifferent eyes were filled with desire. He leaned closer to her and said in a low and hoarse voice, "How do you plan to be rude to me?" As he spoke, he pressed her onto the bed.

Suddenly, Pei Yu propped himself up, anger flashing across his long and narrow eyes.

A sharp dagger was pressed against Pei Yu's chest, and a cold light flashed.

Liang Yan panted, her hand holding the dagger trembling non-stop. She looked at him with endless despair in her eyes.
