"Send someone there." Devyn stated and everyone looked at him.
"No, I mean... I really can't sit back and watch him do that. Adey cares more about people that know her than strangers. If what you said is true, if I suddenly show up she'll be embarrassed. But if someone she doesn't know and never will shows up, she'll take it lightly."
Matteo nodded.
"He won't stop at that without getting any attention from me." Devyn took a seat, his eyes never leaving the monitor on which his sister's face was displayed. "Give him a little attention and he'll move on to the next step."
"What if his next step is to kill her?" Stellan furrowed his brows. "He wanted you to show up or sit back and suffer in silence. Sending someone will not be what he expected. He wanted you, Devyn."
"That's why I said kill him." Devyn replied.
"Sounds good, I'll go." Thane announced.
"Me too." Nyx got to his feet, taking out his gun.
"Someone she will never know." Stellan reminded them.
"You're acting like you couldn't wait for me to give the green light on his life." Devyn chuckled.
"Are you sure you dont know the answer?" Nyx asked plopping back onto the chair.
Devyn sighed. "Kill him if he makes a suspicious move. Don't traumatize my sister for the fun of it."
........
"I think someone is coming."
"Relax," Ash tucked a strand of hair behind her ear without breaking his thrusting rhythm. "They've gone for a vacation." Even though he was looking right at her, he kept his attention on the approaching shadows. They were out of her sight, of course.
"You're crazy," Her voice was breathless as she smiled at him before her face contorted with pain when he pushed hard into her. "Oh fuck..." she moaned.
"You like it?" He asked thrusting harder.
"Yes," she forced it out.
He could tell she was about to lose it. She had already came a couple of times since he had started fucking her. It seemed performing the activity outdoors was really exciting to her. "Don't cum without my permission."
"Oh fuck you,"
Ash smiled. He knew that the desire would always be intensified when restrictions were set. He caught a faint pit-a-pat of the footsteps and felt his heart skip a beat when he didn't recognize any. Devyn wasn't among the people approaching. Why wasn't he...
Had he really not yet recovered?
The poison Ash had administered on him would only prove fatal to those with normal blood.
Unless...
Ash froze. It really was Rhys Grier, wasn't it?
Devyn Kaniesky was a carrier of sickle cell anemia. The presence of the sickle cells in his blood would have saved him and he should have recovered within two weeks. It had been three weeks and four days. He wasn't just hiding, was he? He still hadn't recovered...
That meant it really was Devyn Kaniesky that had died, and the person living now was Rhys Grier. As an impostor. Rhys Grier had really killed Devyn. And Devyn was really dead. That meant the only thing Traceigh has been living for was no more...
Had he been toying with Devyn's sister rather than protecting her? Ash searched her face. She was dubiously staring back at him too, perhaps wondering why he had frozen in the middle of the activity. She was the last bit on earth with Devyn's blood. She was the closest thing he could get to Devyn. And Rhys...
The thoughts swirled inside Ash's head, making him oblivious to his surroundings.
"Ash,"
Rhys had to pay for taking away her last blood relative. He would have to pay for taking away something so costly from Traceigh's life. And Ash will to make sure of that.
"Ash,"
It took Ash a moment to realize that Adey was no longer beneath him and that he was seated with his head between his knees. He turned to look at her.
"Let's go, please." She was saying. She was already dressed and tagging at him.
Then he knew why.
"Who are you? Get on the floor now!"
Three guys had just come into focus, with their guns pointed at them.
If it really was Rhys, he would have given an order to kill Ash. Rhys wouldn't mind Adey dying in the process either. It would be a safer option for him, as she is the last person that could identify him as the imposter and also the last person anyone could use to prove him an imposter.
She couldn't die yet. If she met her brother the other side and tell on Ash...
"Come on," Ash grabbed her hand and ran out of the backyard, making sure he was shielding her with his body. When they reached the place where he had parked the car, he made sure she was in the car, closed the door behind her and jumped into his seat before speeding off.
"Ash," Adey grabbed onto his arm. "Slow down please or you're going to get us killed."
"Princessah back there..." Ash started.
"You're acting all freaked out as if you've never been in worse situations than that more times than you fuck with me."
"What?" He turned at the little sister in shock.
"What? All I'm saying is, please slow down, the people from there didn't follow us back here."
Ash noticed that she was probably more frightened than she was letting on. Her anger was caused by being unable to find security in him. It was only natural. She definitely never had a gun pointed at her. She needed to let it out. "Are you that angry just because I didn't let you cum before we got interrupted?"
"Fuck off," she turned her head away. Suddenly she started sobbing. "I almost got shot to death because of you and you don't give a damn about it and are now trying to kill me in a car crash." She sobbed. "I don't want to die now,"
"Hey, Princessah," Ash quickly pulled over at a no parking zone. Screw the law, anything related to Devyn came before the law. "Don't say that." He pulled her to him. "I was only frightened because I... I didn't want anything to happen to you. I wanted to take you as far away from the danger and as quick as I can."
Adey sniffed. "Really?"
"Yes," He told her and it was not a lie.
She started hitting his chest. "You scared me... you said there was no one there..."
"Oh, you look so fuckable when you're frightened, you know?" He grinned at her.
"Jeez," She pulled away. "Take me home."
