Chapter 2 - chapter 2 white eyes

Staring into the mirror for a long time trying to figure out anything. I felt exposed, and very uncomfortable.

I fell down covering my face ashamed of myself, unsure of what to do or expect. Everything is so confusing right now. I just want to go home.

I laid on the floor almost as if I was boneless. I felt tired of my own emotions, to the point that it felt sick.

Staring at the carpeted ground near the door with a gap underneath. Peaking at it as footsteps were heard coming closer as I quickly slipped into bed. I questioned to myself why before the door opened to a couple of men talking to each other.

A gruffed old voice spoke saying "Do you have any idea where this young girl came from?"

The young familiar voice replied "I'm not sure exactly, but she does seem like she needed help."

"We have no clue where she came from or why she's here."

He exclaimed with great concern.

"I'm sure she can tell us."

The other assured.

"See to it that she doesn't leave your sight." There was a pause before leaving the room with the door locked.

"I really hope that you won't leave without explaining what just happened. " he rambled as he walked around the room.

"I'm still trying to figure out what did happen, or if was just an imagination."

Continued rambling about the moment we met, and asking questions out loud not knowing that I was awake and listening.

After several long minutes of listening to him going on to the point I couldn't pay attention anymore.

I sat up in bed annoyed staring at him, and watched him close his mouth.

Shocked he paused before speaking "good mornin, how're you feeling?"

I just sat there glaring at him both confused, and unwilling to speak.

"Ooookay?" He paused confused as to what to say next.

I tilted my head as I too was confused, but I knew I was safe for now.

It became an awkward situation as we try to figure out how to break the silence, then my stomach growled.

"Ah, you must be hungry. We have breakfast ready." He motioned his hand for me to come.

I got up slowly, and followed him out the door.

We walked down a small hallway that only two people could fit through.

After just a few minutes of walking the air filled itself with bacon, syrup, shrimp, and a bit of fresh fruit. My eyelids fell a bit taking in these delightful sents.

We turned towards a door and opened it, as the sent came in so strong my mouth almost watered.

My stomach was aching as we proceeded to enter a line.

Waiting in line surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere almost had me crying as memories had my emotions in a knot.

I don't feel like I deserve this kind of treatment. This felt very unusual.

I followed everyone as I saw all the food so nice and warm as it's steam flowed around my hand as I grabbed some food piling my plate with bacon, eggs, hash browns, pancakes with plenty of toppings.

Some unfamiliar foods were also present as I took some of those out of curiosity.

All of this food on my tray looked like a mountain as I try to balance the drink in the corner. No one seems bothered on how much I'm taking.

I followed him towards a table to sit down to eat. I was so hungry that I just started to stuff my face with food without thinking too much. I was then posed with questions from him like. Where did I come from, and can you talk? As I didn't want to utter a single word. Feeling sad I held my voice back to think on how to communicate without speaking.

"Do you have anyone to look after you?"

This question struck me hard as the waterfall of tears nearly drowned my eyes.

I choacked on my food as it also surprised me.

"Oh okay, it's okay. It's going be alright." As he tries to calm me down taking a glance at his supirior.

"We'll figure out something."

As he seems to still be unsure of something.

I just sat there staring off into space, being unsure of myself.
