Hu Banban felt a sharp pain in his ears, as if a mischievous child had set off a firecracker right beside him.
So much so that his eardrums rang with a persistent buzzing noise.
But he no longer cared about his own sensations.
He looked at the Little Prince in his arms in a state of panic, asking loudly with an anxious and concerned tone, "Little Prince? Little Prince? Are you alright? Little Prince? Please say something to me!"
Seeing the Little Prince looking bewildered, Hu Banban became even more frightened.
His voice quivered as he spoke urgently, "Little Prince, please don't scare me! I'm already in my fifties or sixties, I can't be frightened like this!"
"Hu… Hu Banban…" The Little Prince finally spoke, which allowed Hu Banban to let out a heavy sigh of relief.
Before he had the chance to check for any injuries on the Little Prince,
he heard the Little Prince say, "You… you look over there."
Look over there?
