Enjento Supai POV:
*RINGINGING! RINGINGING!*
"Damn it! Who's calling this time?"
Enjento took out the magic mirror he used to chat with Sukeru a few minutes ago and pressed the ruby to see who it was.
To his great surprise, the caller was silver-haired, pointy-eared Tekina, and she was looking fatigued.
"Tekina, is something the matter?"
The elf-like Spirit was about to open her mouth to speak when a loud explosion muted her.
*BOOM!*
Tekina teleported away in golden particles, with sweat visible across her face.
"Tekina! What's going on!"
Every time Tekina was about to speak, several explosions kept interrupting her, forcing her to teleport away to safety.
After the explosions finally stopped (for a short while at least), Tekina began her report.
"Milord, I have managed to identify the root cause of the disappearances occurring in the Isolated Mountains."
"Unfortunately, the cause of those disappearances seems to be more than I could handle. I request support in my mission."
Enjento quickly asked the Undead generals in the room if they were capable of teleportation. Sadly, all of them shook their heads.
(Dang it! If Bahamut or Sukeru were here, we'd be in the Isolated Mountains now!)
Taking a deep breath, Enjento asked Tekina how long she could hold out.
"As a Spirit, I won't feel any physical fatigue, but given the rate my mana is getting drained to avoid those attacks, I'd say less than three days if this keeps up."
"Couldn't you just teleport back to the capital?"
"I tried that earlier. However, it appears that some sort of barrier separated the Isolated Mountains from the rest of the world, so I can only teleport within the barrier."
A barrier capable of stopping Tekina's teleporting magic?
Although Tekina was the second weakest among the Undead generals, she was no pushover.
[Author's Note: Will do character power ranking in the future.]
As a powerful High-ranking spirit, she can destroy the Aldonian capital in less than a day.
For a being to create a barrier that can curb Tekina's teleportation abilities and drive her into a corner like this, they'd have to be a Calamity-Class at the very least.
"Can you give me a description of the being you're fighting?"
Tekina nodded and gave a description.
After hearing her description, Enjento pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"Gosh, this will be one tough nut to crack."
"Before I think about killing that thing. How exactly will I get there? It'll take the magic of a powerful deity capable of killing the Demon King just by a sneeze and laughs in the face of death."
"Oh, wait."
[Enjento's Underground Lair beneath the Aldonian capital.]
Enjento faced the black-veiled Morrigan in his underground lair, with Muteki and Andeddo behind him. Aku was left back on the training fields to devise tactics and strategies for the cannons and muskets.
"Let me get this straight. You want me to teleport you into the Isolated mountains to fight a being who is potentially stronger than a Calamity-Class?"
"Yes."
"Meh. Why not?"
Enjento raised a brow in surprise.
"What's with that dumb look on your face?"
"I'm just surprised you didn't ask me to give you the next-"
"Not another word if you want to walk out of here alive." Morrigan interrupted holding a compressed sphere of dark magic in her hands.
"Geez, you're only embarrassed now of all times for being interested in such novels? What brought the change in attitude?"
Morrigan used her free hand to point behind Enjento, where dozens of skeletons were busy doing paperwork.
"Oh. I see."
"Anyways, just teleport me already. I don't know how Tekina is holding up right now."
"Yeah, whatever. I'm only doing this because Tekina is too valuable to lose, and it will also be entertaining to watch that smug face of yours get thrashed by the Calamity Class."
"That last part was unnecessary."
A black magic circle appeared before Enjento's feet and teleported him to the Isolated Mountains.
[Isolated Mountains]
*POOF!*
Enjento and Co. took a look at his surroundings.
Tall evergreen trees, beautiful tall mountain ranges, a mesmerizing crystal-clear lake, and-
RAINING FIREBALLS!?!?!
