"Julia? Are you alright?" He asks.
"Yeah I'm just thinking. Why are you doing this? I mean we basically known each other for less than 48 hours and you are already giving me the biggest opportunity to turn my life around."
"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't know I was crossing a line here." He says looking upset.
"I am not mad I'm just confused." I say reassuring him but my expression still the same.
"Ever since I met you, you were so positive and made me feel comfortable here, so I wanted to repay your kindness and I taught this would help you. Well if you change your mind, this offer still stands." He says.
"Thank you. I'll think about it" I say.
Just as we were done eating I find Emma come through and I finally introduce them both.
"Emma, meet Lugh."
"Lugh, meet Emma." I say as I introduce them both
"Nice to meet you, I've heard so much about you!" Emma says as she pulls her hand out
"Yeah, Nice to meet you too." Lugh says as they both shake hands.
"Wow you look really good" She says
I nudge her shoulder and give her 'the' look.
"Haha its fine, I used to get that a lot"
"Do you mind taking a picture with us? It will be a great memory!" she finally adds
"Sure" he says
We three get closer and it feels weird being that close to his chest. He finally clicks the picture and I actually don't look that bad.
"Great!" Emma says
"We better get to class now" I say looking at my watch.
"Yeah see you guys later." Lugh says and goes off
"You were right, he is hot." Emma says
"What's wrong? You look concerned." Emma adds
"I'll tell you about it after school. Come to my place ok?" I say and make my way to class.
Ch-9
I keep thinking about what Lugh said. He's right; I do need to think about my future after school. I look around my room and find a box with books that contained a lot of designs. I flip through the pages and couldn't help but notice how good I was.
"Wow. They look so pretty." I hear Emma's voice and get startled.
"I taught I told you to not sneak up on me." I say
"Sorry" she says teasingly.
She bends and sits beside me and looks through the pages with me.
"You should start designing again. I remember how I used to always beg you to make a dress for me." She says
"Yeah I remember." I say smiling.
"What made you to look for these?" she asks
"Yeah about that you need to hear this."
I explain everything that happened today morning with Lugh and about what he offered. It felt good to let it out.
"So you are saying that he basically gave you one of the biggest opportunity anyone could get, and you turned it down!?"
"I didn't turn it down; I just said I needed some time to think about it." I protest
She pauses for a while and I get anxious.
"You should do it." She finally says
"Really?" I say
"Yeah. This is good for you. You will be doing something you love right?" She says as she gives me a hug
"I'm glad I have someone like you to make me feel better." I tell
"Have you told your mom yet?"
"I'm planning to. At dinner." I say
"What about Austin?" She adds
"Oh. Um I don't know if I should."
"Why? Is something wrong?" She asks concerned
"No nothing, just in a really confused place right now." I say
"Well if next time I see you sad cause of him then I am personally going to make him pay."
I laugh and reassure her everything is fine and it's all in my head.
