Chapter 2 - Scared

Maybe they will scold her to death or beat her up, no not the academy, but Miss Angelica was glaring her like she would eat her up anytime soon. Felicia's hands and feet went cold. Then in a swipe of a second she realized the hot drop of her tear casting it's way down to the edge of her jawline. Only then she realized what she had done. She quickly apologized to the eminent English Professor, Angelica Streams.

"You, How dare you?!" Angelica snarled with gritted teeth. She stood up dumping a napkin on her now wet skirt.

"Just a clumsy, inappropriate to the world, french girl like you had the guts to annoy me?!" Angelica flipped her hair and scowled at her.

"You are a dis.g.u.s.t.i.n.g ..." She tried to curse her and Felicia felt like the world collapsed beneath her.

She felt her heart bleed.

"That's enough Miss Streams." Henry's voice flew out from afar, he was still standing in front of the table. As always calm and composed.

His lips twitched upwards as he spoke in his usual cold voice, "It's better if you don't bad mouth students." He said and shrugged.

"Mr. Lancaster. Didn't you witnessed how she spilled the tea. It was on purpose." Angelica spoke to him gently.

He nodded, "Might be. Who wouldn't want their teachers to feel ashamed infront of the eyes watching. And what we can do about that? And by teachers, I mean the one they dislike." He said and turned to the door.

"Mr. Lancaster, I am sorry for my behavior, but this grad has already created enough mess. I am supposed to talk to her."

Henry spoke without looking at her,

"You are, privately."

Angelica smiled at him.

Felicia's heart skipped beat after beat as she watched her husband leave the library. Not even glancing at her, once. What type of husband does that instead he agreed to Miss Streams. He even mentioned her in the list of those students who wanted their teachers to feel ashamed in the public. Felicia was at the urge of kneeling down and weep untill midnight. What would happen to her, now.

Angelica now seemed happy as she waved at the crowd and the students disappeared from the sight.

She spat few words at Felicia, "You will be punished!"

With that she went out.

Felicia felt her heart being crushed. It was time for her to be mocked, but surprisingly no body talked about her. Maybe because of the Professors still standing before the same table, Henry was standing earlier. She went to the washroom and washed her face. When she was done. She went to her classroom. Unfortunately her only friend Lynette Colleti wasn't around. She couldn't cry about her grief to her best and only friend. She was scared now. Scared of the evil eyes approaching her. Scared of getting humiliated. She felt self discouraged. Nothing to be rectified now, no one to sort all of this for her now. In the end, her own self deprived her. She was lonely and to her self.

As she paced the giant building a senior student approached her and smiled at her. She gave her the smile back as the student said, "Mr. Lancaster wants you in his office now." Felicia was paralyzed, drifting in the pool of thoughts and emotions. The student waved at her, "Top Floor, first line office, no: 7." Felicia smiled at her, Thanking her she made her way to the top floor. She realized it was her first time going in his office. She was nervous and scared. Would he scold her and then possibly beat her up with his expensive belt. She didn't realized when she stopped at the 6th door. Moving to the next, She was met with a large dark brown door with a black plate having a white outline reading,

"Henry V, Lancaster."

It was simple, simple than every other door she had visited. There were no lines, scratches or patterns drawn. Not even a painting. She stroked his name with her hand a few times before knowing. A deep voice came from inside, "Come in."

Felicia opened the door to reveal a formal room. The furniture was quite alike the one in their home. His home was as simple as his office. The office was offcourse a corner room with full length windows. And plants of different types kept at each of the four walls. There were two to three arranged respectively. She looked at the person working on his laptop on his black leather chair. There was a giant book shelf infront of a wall. She was amazed. How did he managed to read so many books. There was offcourse a table kept at aside for his equipments. Not to mention, He owned the biggest lab in the department just at the second floor down there.

She suddenly remembered why she was here when she reached his table. She lightly inhaled and asked in a low voice,

"You called me?"
