"Sir!" a soldier hurriedly woke Rylo. What's the matter? asked Rylo waking up from his slumber. "Sir, your father is burning sick" informed the soldier. Rylo at once got up from his mattress and sat up firm. "Ok, il be there in a moment" replied Rylo. Rylo tidied up and at once went over to the tent of his father. A couple of soldiers waited outside the tent and moved aside to let Rylo inside Rylo then goes on to take a peak and he sees his father sleeping there. It's better I don't wake him up he thought to himself. He then went and stood outside the tent in front of the two soldiers "I want you to get the closest doctor available and tend to him. And if there is no doctor available I suggest the smartest one here to make the herbs and give it to my father" said Rylo to the soldiers who were standing before him. "Yes sir," replied the soldiers in unison. "And once he feels comfortable to leave, then take him back home!" "Yes sir," said again the soldiers. "And I want five of you to stay behind with my father, the rest carries on with me," said Rylo. The soldiers agreed to their command. Later that day. Barring the five men and his father, the rest of the Cantonment prepares to leave for Algreid. The tent was still being guarded by two soldiers. "Has my father woken up" inquired Rylo. "No sir, he has not." replied one of the soldiers. Rylo does not say anything, he then proceeds to make a move, This time Rylo marches ahead in front of the troops. Two hours until Algried and one hour until dusk. Rylo looks behind at his troops and then suddenly starts to gallop. The Horses stride causes the fallen leaves to make loud noises. Rylo continues to increase the pace. A person close would have thought an army of a hundred was on the move. Such was the noise they made. It was as if the trees that were bending stood firm to let him ahead. We shall reach before dusk sets, Rylo thought to himself. As the sun begins to set, the tiredness of the horses was being felt by the riders. But Rylo does not stop, he continues to gallop at a very fast pace. Some of the riders at the back start to slow down, but the front few keep pace. The sun finally sets and the troops are still thirty minutes away from Algreid. Rylo finally slows down and the horses catch a breather. A soldier matches up to their commander "What do we do now commander?" asked the soldier. "We move ahead," replied Rylo with a firm hand. "These parts are not particularly safe general" suggested the soldier. "Yes of course they are not safe, that is why we move ahead to Algreid," replied Rylo. "Do we set camp, sir? Some of the soldiers are very tired and so are their horses" suggested the soldier. "No! we move ahead," replied Rylo putting his foot down yet again. "Yes sir," agreed the soldier and went back to his formation. The thick trees still covered the area and let no light enter. Rylo lit up his lantern and then rode at a very slow pace. The rest of them followed suit. He was watchful as he looked around for ravagers or intruders in the dark. A small army of ravagers could certainly derail them! The soldiers behind were very alert and carefully surveying the area. To their fortune, there were no attacks on them by any ravager. This was no fateful night under the moonlight where an attack was to take place! There was to be no chase in the forests in the darkness. No sharp axes or swords were swung only sharpened predator eyes on the lookout of another predator! "The famous gates of Algreid" sighed Rylo in relief. "Hurrah!" said the soldiers relieved by the mere sight of the gates. The troops reach close to the gates and their commander is stopped by the guard at the front. "No visitors allowed at this time of the hour," the guard said. "We come here for your king," "We come here in the name of Darticus. The king of the forests," replied Rylo. "And you are?" asked the guard to Rylo. "There must be 20 of you" the guard muttered. "I'm Rylo the commander in general for King Darticus" he replied. The guard looked up at Rylo. "Aren't you a little young to be a general?" asked the guard "Yes, I maybe young old man he said to the guard looking into his eyes but I fight like a seasoned warrior" he replied After a moment's hesitation, the guard quickly opens the famous gates. The famous gates are made from Algreid Oak. The famous oak of Algreid is stronger than baron steel itself! The gates open and the troops march in! The people were few, those who roamed were busy negotiating or buying something. The roads suddenly became bigger and cleaner. The building of the oak shone in strength and royalty. Buildings big and small. "Wealth" muttered Rylo. "Happy faces," muttered Rylo again. The troop makes further ways inroad. They finally reach the royal gates. This must be the building of Cheif Wilmo, thought Rylo The horse's stride comes to a halt as they wait for further indication. A few seconds later The gates opened "Welcome, welcome" a cheerful man greeted them stepping out the gates. A man in his late sixties, full of hair and a white beard. "A happy face," Rylo muttered again. "The camp of Rylo, if I' m not wrong," said the man. "I'm Kreed" the counsel of the chief Wilmo. "Hello," greeted Rylo back. "I see you have gotten late," said the man cheerfully. "Yes, there was a small hiccup" replied "We were to be expecting your father as well?" "If my information is not mistaken," asked Kreed. "Yes sir" replied Rlyo. "That would be the hiccup" he emphasised. "He has surprisingly gotten sick today morning and had to return back to our home" replied Rylo. "Oh!" Exclaimed Kreed. "That is indeed unfortunate" "And there," he pointed to a building made of good Algreid oak. "You all to be accommodated there," said Kreed. "Dinner will be served in an hour's time." "Please make yourself at home, Chief Wilmo will meet you first thing in the morning" he further added. Rylo nodded and proceeded ahead to their lodging, then followed him to the soldiers. The camp enters the building. Rylo makes his way to the stairs to his chamber on the top! "Soldier" he calls out. A soldier comes over to him quickly "I need you to make your way to my father's camp first thing at dawn," said Rylo. "And I then need you to come over by night and report to me what has happened" Rylo added. "Yes commander!" replied the soldier. The soldier climbs down the stairs and Rylo continues to make his way up again. Rylo went to his room and went over by the window. "Algried Oak" he laughed. As the moons light hits the trees!
