Chapter 17 - Phillipe leaves District 8

Philippe got up the next day and counted his shillings. And then he put on his cloak. He was sitting in the chair smoking some tobacco that was left for him to consume. He sat upright ready to travel in the train. A bit uneasy it was to be, he thought to himself. The first time he would do so! travel on a different mode rather than a horse. I have fought warriors and creatures that most people have not seen, Philippe reaffirmed himself.
Just then the nurse entered.
"I would like to see if your wounds have completely healed if that is no trouble to you," she said.
Philippe looked at her, "No not a trouble at all to me" He said so and smiled. She smiled back. Philippe stubbed the tobacco and removed his cloak.
She smiled too
"I hurriedly came to see you and check if I have done a good job" said the nurse. "My uncle just told me you were about to leave"
"I would not leave without saying goodbye to your uncle and you. For all the help you have done that is the least I could do" replied Philippe.
She did not look up, she began to do her work with utmost respect for him and her profession.
"What is your name?" asked Philippe in a very tender voice.
Before Philippe was about to finish she looked up. Her beautiful eyes startled Philippe.
"Andrea" she replied.
Her strikingly beautiful eyes which were light green rolled back to work
"My name is Philippe," he said.
She quietly nodded
Philippe looked at the sunrise.
"I will never look at the sunrise and feel the same way again. The same way I have felt all these years" he said.
"Oh, why is that?" Asked Andrea
"I will never look at the sunrise and think that is the most beautiful thing I have seen in my life" he replied as he looked at her.
"Isn't it not?" Andrea questioned.
"No, you are" replied Philippe.
Andrea smiled
Just then the old man enters...
Philippe the gentleman has not even muttered a word in a whisper.
Hello Philippe, greeted the old man
"Good Morning" replied Philippe
"All set for your travels," he asked him
"Yes," he replied.
"All the very best for your endeavors, I would suggest you to reach the train station a little early to get acquainted with the place. It is a very busy place, with scores of people in and out. Many trains entering and departing" the old imparted some more practical wisdom!
"I do have a map" the young man waved it across lightheartedly.
"Oh, very well," said the old man. Philippe got up from his chair, put on his cloak, and took the bag in his right hand.
Philippe was not the biggest man. Standing at just 5 feet 7 inches with an average build. His shoulders were not the broadest, but his arms were big and his legs were stout. He stood as a man ready for combat. He could easily wield the biggest sword and wear the heaviest armor. He rarely was bigger than the enemy, but towered over them in intellect and Skills!
"You clearly resemble your father, he was not the biggest man around. But he indeed was the mightiest of them all " the old man complimented Philippe.
Philippe smiled. Andrea stood next to him. Very beautiful women and she just about reached the shoulders of Philippe. Her hair was clearly long but tied up. Her pretty eyes looked up at Philippe
He looked at her and whispered. "I will be back one day, very soon" he said to her
She nodded.
"Leave your horse behind" joked the old man
Philippe laughs.
Philippe departs to the train station .
