Chereads / Dungeon Master Online / Chapter 11 - Expansion

Chapter 11 - Expansion

[It is time for your first-floor expansion

Every floor will cost DP with the price increasing as you get farther down but your first will be free.

Lower floors also have to be as big as the floor directly above at a minimum however it is recommended as time goes on, your floor size will slowly grow bigger faster and faster.

For example, floors one and two are about the same size but the difference between floors 100 and 200 is astronomical.]

"Ah that makes a lot of sense, first let's build floor two, this time I want to use a combination of caves and corridors"

[decision confirmed please first select a floor transition

-a hole that drops straight down to the next floor

-a spiral staircase that goes directly downwards

-a cave that rapidly goes down and double backs]

"I'll take the last one, now to design the next section for that I'll buy a large cave structure I think this one will be more maze-like it will go forward a little bit before splitting off this will go on splitting off randomly across the entire area, I'll expand the dead ends here, here, and here for later purposes. Then at the end of this, I'll put a corridor and through this, I line the walls with arrow traps. The 2.5km of unused space can be a customized corridor split in half to function as a prison, next I have an idea for a trap."

[you have entered the trap creation page please designate both the trap name and type]

"It'll be the Imprison trap and be a teleportation type."

[Perfect! Next, create a design and effect]

"Make it look consistent with the floor it is placed on but have it be a 10-centimeter by 10-centimeter square that when stepped on it will create a teleportation circle that is big enough to teleport the whole party into one of any predetermined locations, and once a location is randomly selected unless absolutely necessary it can't be used bound to a parties life force being inoperable until the party dies or all other spots are filled up and this is the oldest used location"

[A new trap has been created.

The DP cost will be 500 plus an additional 50 DP for every selected location after the first one.]

"Nice, now to finish customizing the dungeon."

Smaug went through creating several small rooms with tight hallways between them perfect for kobolds to bring and deliver meals to keep his prisoners alive for as long as possible, next he also bought a bunch of tripwires and connected them to the arrow traps and customized them to be extra thick seeable as well as not hiding the arrow traps at all. This of course was to make adventurers more cautious of avoiding the trip[wires that are positioned like a laser defense system from a bank in a movie. All to distract them from the potential of more hidden traps of which he bought three and assigned a total of 20 locations each.

"Hehehe, it's all coming together, and I still have 30 kilometers of noting, after this, I'll take two corridors side by side and merge them, then copy the general layout of the caves change these walls here move that here. Ooh, I can freely make doors? Yes please… and now I'll do this two more times but I'll expand the hallways and make them wider for the last two, now place everything."

[-7450 DP]

[You can not afford this much, however, you can set up automatic buying. You can set up the priority of what you want to be built first and as you make DP it will automatically be spent on these objects in your priority order.]

"I just got too into dungeon making I completely forgot about this dammed DP. ugh, well this is what I want. So I'll pay for it."

"I'll put everything into groups and these groups will have priority over each other, when choosing between two things that have equal priority choose the one that is closer to the dungeon entrance I don't even want to think about dungeon enemies or treasures right now."

"Put all the environments except for the customized corridor that holds the prison cells into the highest priority group, right beneath that are the traps laid out in the first corridor that I kept the same, next are the prison cells, and lastly the Imprisonment traps."

"While I think I am going to take a break, put all forces on kill mode and automatically distribute resources based on contribution to the fight, I want the highest contributor in a given fight to also get a magic crystal if any are present make sure everyone knows this. For everything else that isn't used in strengthening monsters just put it in my inventory I'll figure out what to do with it later"

[Priority for auto payment has been created]

[offline orders and automation have been created, please rest well while in the real world and do come back soon, a dungeon without a master is just a hole in the wall after all.]

And with that Smaug logged off after a total of eight days. The world was dark and after a few seconds, Michael opened his eyes and took off his helmet. Looking over at his clock he saw only four hours had passed. One real-life hour for the demo section and about 15 real-life minutes every day in the game.

"Perfect, I should get some lunch"
