Once Thale has completed the form, the man takes it from him and stamps it with a seal, indicating that Thale is now officially registered as a D-rank mercenary. The man then hands Thale a badge with a "D" on it, which he is to wear at all times while on missions.
Thale thanks the man and turns to look at the mission board. Several different missions are listed, ranging from escorting merchants to fighting against bandits. Thale is interested in getting closer to the front lines, so he looks for any missions that will take him in that direction.
