Thale and Jake sat on the beach, looking out at the vast expanse of the ocean. "So, you want to swim back to the mainland?" Jake asked, his eyebrows raised in surprise.
"Yeah, I think it's a good challenge for myself," Thale replied. "I've always been told to push my limits, and this seems like the perfect opportunity to do that."
Jake let out a low whistle. "Man, that's crazy. I don't think I could swim that far, even if I wanted to. But hey, if you're determined to do it, I won't stop you."
"Thanks," Thale said, grinning. "I'll need all the encouragement I can get. It's going to be a long and difficult journey, but I'm determined to see it through to the end."
Jake nodded. "Well, if you need any help along the way, just let me know. I might not be able to swim with you, but I can certainly provide moral support."
Thale chuckled. "I appreciate that, Jake. It's good to have someone on my side."
