Obito choked and looked at Rin, blushing furiously.
Rin rolled her eyes and didn't pay attention to him.
Ryu sat back down and continued munching on a mochi ball, glancing at Anko's pink cheeks.
Don't look at his stupid face, he had a decent EQ.
He knew that Anko didn't like him, but as long as she didn't hate him, there was room for improvement.
In actuality, Ryu wasn't prepared to get a wife over here. Wasn't it cool to fight Madara and die?
But ever since Anko saved him from a surprise attack by a fleeing spy, he was in love with her.
In that event he was quite unlucky.
Who would've thought that buying candy was so dangerous?
One minute you're walking with a mochi ball, the next a Cloud Ninja is stabbing at you with a kunai while a Jonin chased him from behind.
Luckily Anko was nearby and tackled him out of the way, making the Cloud Ninja forget about them and escape.
Ryu's little life flashed before his eyes and then he saw Anko asking him if he was okay.
He was dumbfounded in an instant.
Then he understood that the hero saving the beauty really worked!
Damn!
Although the roles were swapped, it was too effective!
Naturally, Ryu confessed on the spot.
Only to be ruthlessly rejected.
Back to the ninja school~
The ninjas were leaving the school and going back home.
Ryu walked next to Anko and stuffed a paper bag of mochi balls into her hands, saying "Be my girlfriend!" his devilish smile surfacing again.
Anko had known Ryu for a while now and already knew what this smile was about. He couldn't control it at all and as a result, he was viciously bullied sometimes.
She didn't even blink, saying "No." but still took the bag and ate a mochi ball quietly.
Ryu chuckled and walked next to her in silence. His hands were clasped behind his back and he trotted on the road. Anko looked at him and said nothing.
They walked down the street and finally arrived at Anko's house.
She snorted at him and left.
Ryu waved goodbye with his devil smile, saying "Do you want to train together?" Anko stopped and looked at him before saying quietly "No. You'll only drag me down. Go train with Guy."
Before turning around with a complicated face, Ryu stiffened slightly and grinned, "Hehe… Okay!" before running off.
Anko sighed and clenched her fist, looking at the people in her house. Her father was looking at Ryu's back with a disgusted expression, muttering "Hmph… Disgraceful Uchiha boy. Didn't I tell you to stay away from him?"
Her mother added with a snort, "And that smile, how ugly!"
Anko was frustrated but couldn't say anything about it. She only hoped that Ryu could get stronger. She figured that Guy was the most hardworking person she had ever seen, so Ryu should make progress if he trained with him, right?
The truth was, Ryu already had this idea.
Garp was a fighter, who cared about Ninjutsu?
Taijutsu was the way to go!
Ryu found Guy and grinned nervously "Guy! Let me train with you!" Guy was stunned and looked at Ryu speechlessly, saying "ME?!" Ryu clenched his fists and said "Yes!" Guy burst into tears and hugged Ryu, shouting "Brother! Let's celebrate with 3000 push ups!"
Ryu kept the grin and started sweating but still trained with Guy.
You have to know, Guy kicked half of 6 Paths Madara into the dirt!
Not only this but Ryu actually liked Guy quite a lot. He was very warm and happy.
Unlike Kakashi, who was basically an ice cellar…
It can only be said that Ryu had strange friends.
But he cherished his friends, there weren't many after all.
As a result, Ryu didn't even return to the Uchiha clan, training with Guy until he collapsed.
Nobody even came to look for him.
Ryu's parents died early on and he was an orphan in the Uchiha clan, he didn't awaken Sharingan, or anything so nobody cared about him.
Slowly time passed~
Ryu asked Anko out every day while training with Guy.
2 months passed
Ryu sat on the ground and looked at Guy who was still energetic.
He glanced at the corner of his vision and looked at the little number that was there.
It said 1%
This was the Garp Template Integration percentage!
After 2 months of hardcore training, he was only 1% integrated!
This was simply ridiculous.
But Ryu continued to work hard.
He desperately wished that he could have the Multiple Shadow Clone jutsu, then he could train all his Ninjutsu at the same time while training with Guy, wouldn't this be so much more efficient?
He had a sudden impulse to steal the forbidden scroll and read it…
He shook his head and got up, running after Guy.
That same night.
Ryu dragged his body to his house and collapsed on the ground.
It was a small little single room house in the Uchiha clan.
There weren't many things in the room. A single bed, dresser, desk, kitchen, etc.
However!
There was a green jumpsuit framed on the wall.
Ryu didn't wear it but hung it up to celebrate his friendship with Guy.
He really considered himself a part of Naruto now… After being saved, his delusions of being better than everyone were shattered. He was just a stinky little boy in this big world.
He had no strength to live and no family to protect him.
This wasn't his peaceful world from before!
He shed his proverbial cocoon and became a part of this world, embracing all its flaws and strengths.
After all… For his shooting star life-plan, he needed strength!
Guy's training plan was harsh but effective!
The duo trained extremely hard everyday.
The other classmates dismissed them as maniacs.
Only Anko was slightly worried.
She found Ryu alone at his house and saw him collapsed on the ground, unconscious. She was stunned and pressed on his neck before letting out a breath of relief.
Then she made a strange face, since when did she start caring about this annoying guy?
She fell silent and thought about it.
Most of the time Ryu would bring her mochi balls, although they were too sweet and she didn't really like them, she still ate them. Maybe it was his undying efforts at wooing her that made her care about him a little?
When she thought of this, she was a bit dumbfounded!
After she saved him, he was like a leech that she couldn't shake off. She suspected that she was settling…
Anko looked at his cute face and squatted next to him, hugging her knees in thought. How did she feel? Well she could say for sure that she didn't like him. But she didn't hate him either!
It was a friendship, albeit a very strange one.
What kind of friendship has a friend constantly confessing every day without end?
Anko didn't know.
But she was a bit worried.
Although Ryu was not well liked anywhere he went because of his condition, he was still an Uchiha!
They didn't allow outside marriage!
Not that she was thinking about marriage, but she was worried that Ryu's clan would find out and punish him.
She frowned at this thought and put Ryu in his bed before leaving a bag of mochi balls as she left.
Time continued to pass!
