More Adventurers arrived in the morning and they left not long after to test their fate and reap rewards in the Undead Caves.
Apparently, there were quite a few teams, one being full of C-rank Adventurers, which meant that every member in the team was as strong, if not stronger than the branch leader of the small town's Adventurer Hall.
Phillip Clerk's father was a C-rank Adventurer but he was only in possession of one Soulring. It was said that he would soon finish the creation of his second Soulring but that was only the case if rumors were to be believed.
In the end, most C-rank Adventurers were in possession of two Soulrings which was why they were likely to be stronger than Phillip's father.
Zayn didn't really care about who was stronger but it bothered him that the Adventurer teams had split up equally to research all Undead Caves at the same time.
They were either too arrogant, delusional that the Undead Caves were easy to conquer and that it was only a matter of time before they could be restored to their former glory, or they were simply too arrogant.
'Did they split up despite reading the reports? And did they even receive any reports, to begin with?' Zayn wondered, not sure who was the stupidest in the current situation…The town's Adventurer Hall, or the Adventurers who came over this morning.
He thought about this for a few minutes before he labeled all of them brickheads. That made it easier for him to focus on turning his soul particles into parts of his first Soulring.
That was what Zayn wanted to achieve before going to sleep. His body was overflowing with vigor, which was probably thanks to the Priest Apprentice's excellent healing abilities. He didn't feel like sleeping right now and could use his energy on the task ahead.
Zayn didn't possess enough soul particles to create a full Soulring right off the bat. He could use different means to approach the construction of a Soulring.
The first way was to create a complete Soulring by accumulating enough soul particles before starting the construction, in the first place.
The second way was to divide the Soul Ring into several small sections and build them one after another. That way, one could create the small parts first and assemble the several bits together once all of them had been constructed.
As for the third way, Zayn would have to create the frame of the entire Soulring with the soul particles at his disposal. Afterward, he would have to strengthen the frame whenever he had some soul particles to spare. That way, he could fill his Soulring slowly without the need to assemble them in the end.
The first way was not feasible for Zayn because he had to become stronger right now. He couldn't go hunting for several weeks at a stretch with unrefined soul particles. It would slow down his progress rapidly and be his death.
He was not a fan of the second method either because it was extremely difficult to assemble the Soulring parts. But the difficulty was not why Zayn hesitated to use the second method to create his first Soulring. Most used the second method because it was extremely secure. Mistakes could be fixed easily as well.
However, the biggest downside of the second method, and the reason why Zayn didn't want to use it was that it consumed way too much time to split up the Soulring's frame into several parts, individually create every part, and then follow the assembling procedure.
Zayn didn't have the luxury to choose safety over time because his time was the most precious right now.
Thus, the third method to create a Soulring was what he would go ahead with. He had to make sure that there wouldn't be a mistake in the frame of the Soulring and that it was durable enough to endure the pressure from being filled and become his first Soulring but that was fine.
Zayn didn't intend to create a flawed frame and fill it to the brim before noticing that something was wrong with it. He knew that the entire Soulring would have to be ripped apart and thrown in the bin if he made a mistake using the third soulframe method to create his first Soulring.
If he wouldn't be certain that nothing would go wrong while creating his Soulring with the soulframe method, Zayn wouldn't pursue it with the confidence he possessed right now.
However, he realized that it was no problem and that there was no need for him to be scared of the soulframe method when he visualized the Soulring in his mind.
Zayn could visualize it in an instant and he could even make out the step-by-step method of creating the soulframe with exceptional clarity. There was even more information than Zayn was supposed to possess. It didn't really make any sense…if he didn't know that his body possessed the muscle memories of his life before his body was turned into that of an eight-year-old without a single change in his appearance or anything else.
Being in possession of his muscle memories was different from the fragmented memories that didn't want to resurface. Zayn had no memories that were related to how he learned to control and circulate soul particles through his body. There were a few more things he could still do even if he didn't remember that he was capable of doing them…and one of them was creating a Soulring!
The flat and narrow golden ring that would be constructed around the heart was divided into parts in Zayn's mind. His brain built it from scratch as if it was fully aware of what it was supposed to do and how many soul particles he would require for every single step.
That feeling caused goosebumps to erupt all over Zayn's body but he didn't have a reason to complain. It was pretty helpful to know what he was supposed to do, which was why he kept his eyes closed as he began with the first step of his first Soulring.
He gathered his soul particles around his heart and changed their appearance by turning them into small golden threads by weaving various soul particles together.
They formed a golden mass that would then be shaped to Zayn's desire. It was difficult to shape the golden mass, but Zayn could do it with some effort.
He sweated profusely and worked hard through half the night before a bright smile appeared on his face.
His soul particles were used up completely and an unstable golden frame of something that was supposed to be a Soulring in the near future began to revolve around Zayn's heart.
Creating the fragile soulframe of his first Soulring didn't take too long. Thanks to the muscle memories he possessed, something that would have required weeks under normal circumstances was completed in less than six hours.
It was ridiculously fast even if the soulframe was not perfect due to the lack of soul particles.
However, that was something Zayn could solve rather easily by going out and hunting!
