Itai Huntington pushed open the door, walked to her seat, and pursed her lips, "This Jade Buddha is made of jade from the Tang Dynasty. I had it appraised, it's worth at least a hundred million."
She walked to the desk, next to the Jade Buddha, and gently reached out to touch it.
"You've helped me before, now I'm giving it to you."
"Wait!"
Julius Reed suddenly shouted, startling Itai Huntington into standing still, afraid to move an inch.
"What's wrong..." she asked motionlessly, "Is there a bomb?"
Subconsciously, she thought she might have stepped on a bomb.
That's how TV dramas always portray it.
"It's fine."
Julius Reed approached the Jade Buddha and gently sniffed it.
"This Jade Buddha, it was sent by your enemy, wasn't it?"
"You scared me to death!" Itai Huntington, reassured that there was no danger, patted her chest and said, "I have a weak heart, if something happens, it's on you."
