"uhn?" mr havard replied, fully focused on the live news on screen

"i don't want to get married to jace i mean....I'm not ready to....."

"Don't start lynn! your engagement ceremony went well and the wedding preparation is ongoing so i think by now reality should have strike you that you are becoming the wife of the only heir to K groups, he's the most handsome and promising billionaire of this country, you should be happy" mr havard said curtly

"of course dad, every aspiring young lady would be happy but i need to chase my dream first, he doesn't even love me due to some pityful past, i don't want a marriage of convenience dad" lynn said desperately

"Nothing is wrong here darling, have is a good asset for you" mr havard reassured

"dad, ain't you always after my happiness? why are you doing this to me?" lynn asked, already tearing up

"good point my dear! since I've always wanted your happiness, this is the least you can do for me to make me happy too, I've always granted all your wishes so do this for daddy,hun?" mr havard patted her, now concentrated on his daughter

"dad, if i do anything crazy, you'd have to forgive me" lynn said solemnly

"And what crazy thing are you planning to do?" mr havard asked curiously

"i don't know yet, just apologizing in case...or perhaps, in advance" lynn said grimly and walked away.

Ella's p.o.v

i responded heavily as i finished doing the dishes, dried my hands with a towel and sauntered towards my boss, mummy kulkul who is busy with her precious daughter.

"I'm done mummy kulkul" i said, grabbing my bag.

"Ella baby, i apologize but you have to work overtimr today also, look how many customers are waiting to be attended to, i can't possibly tend to them alone hun?" mummy kulkul said making her usually pityful face

"i work overtime almost every day, is there a bonus for that?" i asked raising my chin up.

"Ella baby...."

"mummy kulkul, i have to make dinner for my mother..."

"you can pack some food along for her'' mummy kulkul said sharply

"really?" i glared at her and lunged towards the customers desk.

"two hotdog and a soft drink please..."

"can i have a hamburger?.."

"give me a pizza and lemon juice.."

"i want a soda and chicken laps.."

"is there roasted chicken and..."

"answer me please, I've been waiting for over thirty minutes..."

the orders came in and i attended to them sharply until everyone was served and satisfied.

i walked up to mommy kulkul and picked up my bag again

"can i leave now?" i asked abruptly

"of course you can! i would've loved to give you a T-fare but you know this is a local restaurant and the profit we make is a chicken feed, also my kulkul....."

"goodnight, I'm going to be late tomorrow since i worked overtime today" i cut her short abruptly and headed home.

i walked into our small sitting room and met my mom sleeping uncomfortably on the sofa

'she must've dozed off while waiting for me'

"mom! mom?" i called but i got a loud snore as reply.

'she must be tired from doing nothing'

i sighed helplessly and helped her lie down well on the sofa before rushing to get a duvet to cover her and retire to the dinning afterwards.

"wow, pasta!" i smiled at the delicacy before me

i took my time perceiving the aroma before doing justice to the meal

"hmm" i toned in satisfaction, did the dished and retired to my room

i stood in front of the mirror and stared at my reflection for a while

i think i'm getting lean, my eyes has become bigger. i should purchase some tonic tomorrow" i said to myself and sighed.

i packed my hair into a bun and changed into a towel, lunged into the bathroom, did my business, changed into a casual wear, switched off the lights and collapsed on the bed.

"its time to go bed baby....."🎶🎵🎶 i sang before dozing off.
