Elder oak was wounded all over, his once white fur now stained in blood and burns. His once majestic mustache now mostly burnt off.
Seeing this both karma and grey went over to help.
Hopping between all the fallen buildings they tried to make it to where the elder was as fast as they could but a few meters away. Grey heard a whoosh kind sound due to his good hearing even without soul force flow into his ears.
Grey immediately ducked out of pure instinct. As a red paw swiped at where he was missing him just barely.
Unfortunately for karma he did not sense it coming and it seemed his luck ran out. Karma was slapped hard in the face sending him flying in a random direction.
~Oh my, so you managed to dodge my lucky paw attack. How interesting this is.~
Said a dangerous sounding feminem voice.
Grey saw karma be sent flying into the distance and cursed silently in his mind. Turning his head back to see what attacked them he saw an all red fox with some white fur patches around her stomach and ears.
Grey thought in his head she would be very attractive IF she wasn't a Damm fox. But he also noticed she was not covered in blood or dirt.
" Dam another luck rune user TCH.
Why are you vixen foxes here we had a truce that that should still be in affect for another 9 moon cycles. Is the food we work tirelessly to make not enough for you thieves."
The fox seemed stunned by his response for a second. " You speak foxanese young rabbit."
Grey was puzzled for moments before he realized his sound rune seemed to translate languages for him automatically meaning he can talk to any species.
" So what if I can, it was very easy to learn ." Grey lied as naturally as he breathed.
Believing his lie the fox introduced herself. "Nice to meet you young buck I am lady scarlet, unfortunately the blaze fox over there is the fox kings younger brother and I cannot allow you to interfere because I'm that piece of shits guard so be a dear and chat with me I'm bored."
Grey turned to look at the fox battling the elder of the 14th burrow. On one side of the battle was a fox unleashing flames like crazy on their other side was a rabbit that was covered in a broken down brown spider exoskeleton with four extra spider limbs releasing poison and silk to just barley keep up.
Grey turned his head and looked back at himself a small rabbit with only two small boomerangs, one large boomerang and some bungee cords along with his gator chess piece. He wasn't even close to their power level and he knew it.
"Lady sc- no just scarlet is fine for the likes of you I may not be much. But I was taught small waves can lead to bigger waves which can change whole environments. So I will do what I can to help even ever so slightly because I hate feeling useless." Grey proclaimed proudly.
Scarlet could see the conviction in his eyes and just sighed deeply. "Fine have it your way" as she silently swiped her paw towards greys head to fast for him to react.
At that moment her body glowed red and an explosion went off causing some mud and rocks from above to fall down one of which just perfectly so that grey only took a slight scratch on his arm and was sent back a few meters
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!!! You how did you do that. It should be impossible to control someone else's rune especially at such a low level. So what did you just do." She said almost growling towards the end.
Confused and startled grey reached for his bungee cords when he realized what happened. He only pulled out one of them, Spining it as if it was a rope dart.
He threw one end towards a building using the hook as a grapple and using the momentum he got flung in that direction due to how light he was.
But she was not letting him off that easily however each time she attacked her body glowed slightly whilst draining her energy. She couldn't understand why her luck aura was protecting a newly awakened rabbit.
After a unholy amount of lucky Dodging and running she finally managed to land a blow sending him flying and through a window.
Entering the building she saw him using a table to barely stand up she was grin as she finally caught him. But stopped and stared above him.
Above the beverage counter was a glowing sign that spelled out 'Young hope' but only the word was glowing and was tilted towards the rabbit she just assaulted.
"JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA I found it at last the only hope for my freedom here of all places JAJAJA"
Grey was feeling dizzy and tired but all he could hear for some reason was someone laughing like crazy. When his vision returned he saw the fox wiping a tear away before tossing him a glowing red berry. He had to hold himself back from just stuffing his mouth.
Wiping the drool away he asked confused
"What is this?"
"I just realized why my luck aura protected you from my attacks. You are of great use to me in the future." she said smiling
"You my young buck seem to have potential to get me what I want. So I need you need you in peak condition."
While she tried to play innocent and caring her gentle smile seemed more menacing than her attacking him. After sniffing it a few times he did not sense any danger so he ate the whole thing in one go.
Grey's face contorted into an agonizing pained expression but he refused to scream in pain in front of a fox. He felt his blood being pumped faster than before as his wounds started healing including his sour throat that was mostly healed before. He was was even healthier than before he awakened there was even some extra energy flowing around his body he could feel.
Scarlet watched with amusement as the young buck tried to hide his pain at first before relaxing as he was healed. She found his adorable little antic joyful.
