Chapter 7 - A bunch of psychos

"What do you think?" Jenny asked, facing the girl.

"It's your choice. Actually I also wanted to depart back to my place after a week. It's just that you proposed it first and I didn't get a chance to talk about it." the girl spoke looking at a distance. No one knows what on her mind.

"Okay, then it's decided. Before departing let's have a good conversation." Jenny chuckled.

"I am not the one to strike conversation–"

Jenny excitedly stood up, "I will strike first. I have been calling you Girl from the first day, you didn't say your name either. Girl, what's your name? What do other people call you?"

In a serious tone, the girl replied, "My name… huh…it seems I forgot it too. It has been a long long time since anyone has called me by my real name. People gave me a name however they liked. Some called me weirdo, my seniors called me little junior, my colleagues and people familiar to me called me B. My mentor calls me Lazy cat."

"What do your parents call you then?"

"They are no more." No expression was visible on the girl's face.

"Sorry…are you all right? I feel something is different in you today." The voice was full of concern.

"I had a bad dream and it has messed my mind. That's all." The girl spoke as if she was calm as water.

"Don't worry about such dreams…were was I? Um…yeah, then I will call you Girl. You seem very young, are you still a minor?" Jenny was excited to gossip.

"I will turn eighteen soon. My birth date is in next week."

"Oh!! That the reason why your body isn't well developed as a lady. Then happy birthday in advance. I would like to celebrate your birthday but as you have to return back, maybe you won't have a chance… That means you have no family so you mature earlier to protect yourself.

But I am really surprised that a girl who hasn't turned eighteen had a certificate to practice as a therapist. If my doctor hadn't recommended you, I would have thought you were a fraud." Jenny wasn't demotivated with the girl's lack of enthusiasm.

"What can I do when I am smart?" The girl chuckled.

"Hahh…right 👍. If my daughter was still alive she would have been about the same age as you. I curse my own luck that she left the world earlier…( taking a deep breath) Let's not make the conversation gloomy.

Girl, would you like to be my goddaughter? You may not know but it may be helpful at some point of your life. I will have a daughter and you will have a godmother. You remind me of my daughter a lot." She clicked her tongue.

"I won't lose anything from being your goddaughter so why not. Who knows someday I may need that identity too." The girl chuckled.

In the future she would know that the identity of being Jenny's goddaughter had its own advantage.

Jenny brought a pendant from her pocket and put it in the girl's hand.

"It's a gift to you. Do you have any plans for future?" As usual the friendly behavior.

"Not for now. If someday I can decide for myself then I would like to research about human behavior, psychology, human brain and search for ancient medical records but…I don't think I will have the opportunity. I have to join my mentor and seniors after I return back. Who knows what sort of crazy task will they assign me. A bunch of psychos. For now I want to live peacefully." The girl has a sharp glint in her eyes.

Her godmother laughed out loud listening to the blabbering. "Oh yeah, I had wanted to ask you a question from a long time…why did you decide to be my therapist?"

The girl had awkward look on her face, " Can't I skip this question?"

"Haha…there must be something interesting. Say it."

"Umm…about that…actually treating you was a punishment for me. I can't tell you the reason as I don't know what I did wrong but my mentor ordered me to be your therapist indirectly. They don't need reason to order me. I don't know the details how I came to be under you. But… I enjoyed treating you. You gave me a place to sleep, food to eat and even took me around to travel. That's enough for me. At least it's better than where I grew up." playing with her finger, the girl replied.

"I wonder what you did to be punished…okay okay I won't ask further. Ever in your life if you need my help, do call me, my goddaughter. Let's enjoy the few days together and do whatever you want…See, the sun is about to rise too." Jenny pointed in the distance.

Watching the sunrise both returned back to their place.

If Jenny's people had heard the conversation, they would have been shocked seeing the devil acting as an angel.

On Grasal City,

The operation took more than five hours. First, the medical team who were operating Neil walked out of the operating room. Shikhar walked with a group of three people. Excusing himself, he walked to meet a certain man.

The silver-haired man was wide awake with his eyes turning red due to lack of sleep. Currently, he is on the living room of the ground floor, fiddling with his phone and continuously making call to his subordinates.

"Bro, long time no see. How have you been all these years? I wonder–" Without directly talking about the main topic, Shikhar talked round and round.

"Shut your f**king mouth if you want to divert the topic. How is Big Brother's condition?" His patience was at the lowest level.

"You haven't changed Bro…about Brother Neil condition…why don't we return back to his ward and speak. You would be more clear about the situation there." The lively Shikhar turned serious and professional.

Both returned back to the ward.

Scan of the head was on the table. Shikar uttered each word clearly while displaying the CT-Scan "The right side of Neil's body has been directly impacted by the crash. The most serious damage had been done to his head. He will suffer poor nervous system condition.

When will he awaken is unknown. I can promise that he will live, but I don't know when he will be awake. His injured cells require independent regeneration. Brother Neil, in summary is in a long-term coma."

There was a brief period of silence in the ward.
