[Lorraine POV]
"NOOOooooo..."
After jumping into the portal, I felt a very familiar feeling. The feeling of being unable to move before being forcibly moved somewhere. It was almost like an S.T.A. After another Split second, I feel the cold ground against my back as we arrived at our destination.
"What was THAT?"
Hearing my outburst, my master simply pulls me up onto my feet and pulls the red cloak back on me. It must have fallen off during the teleport.
"That was a Transfer Point, an invention of the Magic Association after a lot of money and research into S.T.A., it allows us to travel throughout the country."
"Why can't you use that painting skill?"
"Painting to Reality requires too much mana if I tried to cross this distance and there are a few other factors that would make it risky to perform."
"This distance? Where are we right now?"
"We're east of The Kingdom, in a region called the Unending Graveyard."
"Isn't that supposed to be a forbidden zone??! WHAT are we doing here?"
"We're here for you to finish your quest, silly. Let's go. It's only forbidden for the weak."
Seeing my Master walking ahead, I quickly follow behind here as I looked all around. We appeared in what looked like a building but it was in terrible condition, not fit for everyday use. I could see mould and moss growing all around the area.
"M-Master... What is this building?"
"I guess you could consider it an Adventurer Guild building since you can only use Transfer Points in the Adventurer Guild to other branches of the Adventurer Guild. Though due to it being in a forbidden zone, renovation is not possible, of course."
Jumping over a few areas where the floor had caved in, I continuously look around. The atmosphere in this place was just spooky. Walking outside the tattered building, I see the sombre and gloomy environment. The sky was dark, tainted with a dark green colour. There was no grass on the cracked and dry ground. I couldn't even see that much as a thin fog rested on the seemingly flat plains.
"I got a small question."
"Yes?"
"How many undead do I need to kill?"
"Enough that you collapse from exhaustion."
"Wha-"
Just as I was giving a shocked reaction, I see the fog all around us get pushed back and disappear. Looking toward my master, I see she just finish sheathing a sword.
'You gotta be kidding me.'
I probably had a hilarious face on me right now but I had no time to worry about that. With the fog out of the way, I could see hundreds of undead that were slowly coming toward the source of the disturbance.
"Welp, you're on your own."
Looking back toward my master, I see a burst of fire and the colour fades out of her as she disappears. Seeing the undead coming, I decide to get ready. Walking into an open space a good distance away from the tattered building of the Adventurer Guild, I grip the handle of my giant sword.
HAAAA HUuuuuuuuuu
Taking a deep breath, I get ready to strike. As the undead got closer, I could clearly make out the different races of people that have became undead. Looking at the rotting flesh and battered clothes that they were wearing I felt a little weird on the inside. Still, taking another breath, I try to calm my mind to the task at hand.
As the first undead comes running toward me, I position my body and with extreme speed, pull out the sword and slice the undead in two with an upward slash.
SLIIIING! Tsk!
I click my tongue as the undead fell. The opening strike is one of my stronger attacks and it barely cut through it. Moving forward to dodge an attack from behind, I rotate around to strike the undead straight through its abdomen.
SLiin-
"Great!"
My sword only cuts halfway through what looks like an undead troll before stopping.
HA!
Giving a yell, I kick the troll backwards releasing my sword stuck in it. Then, I quickly start jumping backwards to give myself some breathing room from the four or five undead that were about to attack me.
"Alright, I was dumb for not taking this seriously."
Holding my sword in front of me, I take another deep breath as I slowly feed my mana into my blade. As a very light coat of blue aura shined on my blade, I stare down at the crowd of undead before charging toward them again.
"Fight!"
Sling Sling slash slash S...
Running into the crowd of undead, my blade now sliced through them with ease. During my practice with Big Brother Jaque, we found out that if I run mana through the blade made from the golem, it would greatly increase the sharpness and durability of the blade. With my limbs constantly moving all over the field, I speed up trying to kill as many as possible before my mana runs out.
Ha ha Ha ha ha ha
Soon, the horde of undead started to thin. I slowed down, gasping for air with my airs crampings and covered with scratches and cuts from the undead. Thankfully, it seems that the cloak my master gave me was a strong item, protecting me from most strikes and slashes. However, no matter how good it was, it was only a cloak, I felt a numb pain on my back as a large boar demi-onic undead slammed into me from behind.
Coupled with my mana consumption, I felt increasingly tired. As the last undead near me fell, I drop to the ground in fatigue. As I caught my breath, I look around and see more undead coming out of the fog.
I don't even know how long I've been fighting for. The fog that Master had pushed away had slowly returned, leaving me with an even smaller field of view. Just as I was taking a breath, I see a purple light beside me.
PSssssss BOOOM!
"AAAHHH!"
All I could do was take the hit as I get launched across the ground.
"UUrrggg."
I was left laying down quite a bit away from my previous area. Getting on to my hands and feet, I feel everything spin around. I touch my head as I feel something warm flow down my face, dropping into my left eye. My eyes tear up washing away the red stain from my vision.
PSsssss
Getting to my feet, I hear something coming and I quickly roll to the side and slash through an undead in my way.
Booom!
I see my previous location get hit by an exploding purple ball. Following the direction of where it came from, I see two dark lights looking toward me through the fog.
GArrg Slash
I could only make eye contact for a second before, I hear the growls of the undead around me. I start moving again, slicing through the nearby undead but always keeping a close eye on the eyes in the fog.
Psssss BOOOm
AHH!
I see another ball coming toward me. Ducking, I quickly hid behind a group of undead as it explodes in the crowd. I scream once again as undead parts fly everywhere and I get pushed off my feet.
'I got to kill that thing.'
Pushing off the ground once again, I start moving closer to the undead mage. Spring past many unsuspecting undead, I start to circle closer toward the undead mage. As I got closer, I could see its figure. A disfigured face with some armour on it as well as a staff in its hands. It probably was an Adventurer a long time ago.
I see more purple balls fly through the air. Moving in a zigzag pattern, I quickly approach the mage. Then with my last bit of strength, I circle and strike it from behind.
SLash -CLANK
Like a metal meeting metal, I feel a vibration go through my entire body as my blow was stopped completely by the forearm of the undead.
Arrkk!
I break down into a coughing fit as I feel everything start spinning and my legs give out. Loosely holding onto my sword, the undead turns around causing me to fall on my back. Then taking one last glance at the undead with bloodshot eyes, I see everything freeze.
I see the colour of my surroundings fades. A blank canvas remains. With a splitting headache, I hear a few more words before I drift into darkness.
"Truly a great Warrior..."

Aegis' Fun Fact: Painting into Reality. It is a fun skill to have. Though it does have some flaws. I can't travel between territories on a normal day. The borders between territories happen to also be the areas where space is the least stable. If space doesn't let a path through, I'll have to force my way through to travel. That's something, that could cost me my life.
