The once loud classroom immediately quiet down as soon as Ms. Liana spoke.
Ms. Liana then went up to the podium her short white hair was mesmerizing to look at.
I can still see some students clearly bewitched by her beauty not that I can blame them since they are teenagers.
"Alright, you won't need to introduce yourselves since this is just a temporary class, all you need to know is that all of you will be taught the basics of controlling and manipulating your aura, and after a month you will all undertake a division placement assessment,"
Ms. Liana then scanned the room with her brown eyes but then widened in surprise.
"You there, it seems that you already know how to control your aura?"
I look at the student that Ms. Liana was looking at and it was none other than Francesca Amberborne.
As I take a closer look at her I noticed that she wasn't wearing a metal bracelet.
"Ah, to a certain extent Ma'am, I am only able to contain it within me,"
The other students bore gazes of awe and admiration toward her and even Ms. Liana nodded in recognition.
"Well, to be able to do that with not even a week passing, you have talent,"
"Thank you, ma'am,"
As expected of a future hero even at an early age she already showed a such level of prowess.
I then take a sneak peek at the other hero.
Aston Frye,
He was looking at Fransesca with the same admiration as the other students did.
Unaware that he was going to be on par, no, much stronger than her in the future.
"Anyway, as much as you are excited to learn aura control, that will happen tomorrow, today we will go about the general orientation in what is aura, how will you be trained and the responsibilities of wielding it,"
I can hear the groans and sighs of disappointment that were coming from the other students.
"If you are unsatisfied I will remind you that you are free to leave the academy but don't ever come back," Her cold voice immediately shut down the students that were complaining.
"So, Let's begin,"
It was quite a boring day, Ms. Liana just lectured us about the general information about aura and its laws.
I was trying desperately to stay awake because if I doze off I would definitely be looked at in a bad light by Ms. Liana.
"Alright, that's it, tomorrow go to the Battle Building Room 106, those that are late will be punished,"
Finally, it was grueling 5 hours of boredom, as I already knew most of what Ms. Liana was talking about as I went through the same orientation back in my days in the Shield Stigma.
As I stand up from my seat ready to walk out of the class and back into my dorm.
"You have acquired 100 merits from not giving in to your desire to sleep, Sir Cain," V's voice suddenly rang in my head.
"Wait, what?" I inwardly chuckle, I can't believe I gained 100 merits from just trying to force myself to stay awake but I'll take it.
"You seem to be a bit wrong in the head, dear student for you to talk to the air,"
I looked behind me and see the piercing brown eyes of Ms. Liana looking at me, it appeared that I was blocking her way toward the door.
"Oh, I apologize, Ms. Liana," I move to the side and let her through.
She didn't bat an eye at me as she walked out the door
Welp, there goes my plan to not be seen in a bad light by Ms. Liana.
I sighed and made my way back into the student dorms.
Tomorrow will the aura control training for the sword stigma officially start.
My main goal, for now, is to reach C-Tier level of control by the end of the month so I can be placed in Divison S.
It won't be easy but I have some advantages since I already graduated from this academy.
Although it won't be a lot since the aura from the shield stigma is drastically different from the sword, I have experience.
As I close the door, I immediately sat down on the ground and mediated.
My control over my azure aura has stagnated in the last couple of days.
It seems that C-Tier is all my effort and talent amounts too.
But I won't falter so easily.
After all, every single day after I regressed I constantly reminded myself of the impending doom that will happen in the future.
I will never let myself forget.
The air that stenched with death.
The seas that became red with the amount of blood that has been shed.
A world where only corpses were left.
I will never allow myself to forget.
No matter the cost, I will kill each and every single one of those demons.
I will pay them back a thousand times over for what they did to us.
I will make that happen or I will die trying.
I then felt my azure aura sporadically diminish into thin air.
I immediately cough out blood from my mouth.
"Ah, F*ck, I lost control,"
I take a deep breath and meditate once again.
It was the next day and the moment I arrived inside the room that Ms. Liana told us to come to.
I noticed that it was full of weaponry.
There were axes, swords, spears, daggers, and even scythes.
Although it was called the Sword Stigma, students aren't entitled to a sword to channel their aura into and goes the same for the Shield Stigma.
As I scan the amount of different forms of weaponry that was hanging from the walls.
I see the young man from before approach me.
"Dear student, please don't touch a single one until Ms. Liana arrives"
"Oh, my bad,"
"In the meantime, please join the other students over there, and don't touch a single thing,"
Without delay, I joined the other students that were standing around and inspecting the weapons on the walls with their eyes.
I look upon Aston Frye and Fransesca Amberborne amidst the group.
In the future, The Hero of Hope wielded a greatsword that was said to be responsible to have killed and slaughtered dozens of demons, I guess I will bear witness to the hero acquiring his legendary sword right before my eyes.
The Maiden of War on the other hand had a trusty battleaxe by her side as she butchered demons left to right with a single swing.
But, I really shouldn't worry about them right now.
Since I do not have a single clue about what weapon I'll be choosing.
