Enel's hand gripped the edge of the table as Lady Death's lips brushed against his ear, her voice a silken whisper. "You carry the weight of so much, my king. Let me take it from you, if only for a little while."
Her fingers traced a line from his shoulder down to his hand, lifting it to her face. Enel's deep eyes met hers, the void-like darkness in them pulling him in. He shook his head, muttering, "I can't afford distractions, not now."
But Lady Death only smiled, her expression a mix of affection and mischief. "You're not distracted," she murmured. "You're lost. Let me guide you back to yourself."
With surprising strength, she pulled him closer, her hands gripping his shirt as she leaned into him. Their bodies pressed against one of the marble pillars in the room. Enel's breath hitched, his resolve flickering like a candle in a storm. His hands found her waist, strong yet hesitant.
