"...should I tell him?!"
"Because I said so!"
"Why me though?! You tell him!"
"Shhhhh! I think he's awake,"
The harsh whisperes quickly quietened down as I opened my eyes. I guess I fell asleep when Drax had summoned me to his domain. That's going to be a problem later on in our communication.
"What is this, a whispering fiasco? I expected a better greeting than that from you guys," I smiled at my friends as I stretched my self out of the covers. I observed that most of my classmates that I knew had surrounded my bed. Though Alex was not around so may be he was lost in the crowd? And this is a first, Arnold wasn't here either.
"Hey there sleepy head? Took you long enough to get up. How's it hanging, Max?" Kira greeted. Being the only other Furrha that I know of in our school, she was easily one of the class beauties and even in our year she was one of the top three. Why I say that is because today she looked absolutely wrecked. She always did try to look cool but today though...let's just say, the scratches on her face still looked fresh.
I know I've been gone for a while, maybe a few days give or take, but their training shouldn't be this hardcore! Funnily, she wasn't the only one.
Looks like Blade has a few bandages which he cleverly tried to hide with a long sleeved shirt, but I could still see them.
Bareth was the least injured of them all, but something in his eyes had changed. Almost like he had lost the will to fight which, is not normal for a werewolf.
Emily couldn't even stare me in the eyes without a look of guilt, and also physically, cause she had some dark contacts in her eyes to hide the fact she was a demon.
Two new people had joined us at my room. Clive was right beside Jessie(she didn't look injured at least)who supported him upright with the help of crutches on Clive's right hand. Never thought I'd see the day when this arrogant half-orc would need help from someone else let alone a girl. He was clearly the most beaten up of the all, but not as much as Alex's friend, Jay.
He was the one sitting on the chair previously left by Cathy, and with good reason too. His eyes looked like they lost their light, and there was evidence of crying with his red eyes. But he tried masking it with a smile. They all did, actually, except Clive of course.
They didn't have to tell me that something was wrong with the way they looked now that my eyes had cleared. But I have to play it cool, since it looks like they still haven't decided on whether to tell me or not.
"I've been gone for barely a week and you guys are already this beaten up? Those teachers must be training you guys real hard to be the best," I tried lightening the mood. They all laughed nervously, a little too obvious with the way the kept staring at each other.
"W-we are coming closer to the inter-class competition after all. And the mid-terms are just up ahead," Blade stammered while nodding his head. He must have lost the staring contest with everyone then cause seriously, since when did this lazy bum care about school stuff?!
Time to switch to another tactic. "Clive, you're looking well. You must be giving that training of yours your all, right?"
He grunted in answer but that's all I got from him. The mood in the room was suddenly turning awkward. Fine then, if they want to keep this cold talk around, I'll have to make it even colder.
"Okay, what's wrong?"
"What do you mean what's wrong? Nothing's wrong!" Jay answered a little to fast for my liking. No, there's definitely something wrong. And still...
"Where is Alex?"
The shuffling in the room suddenly stopped. Everyone either looked down or tried staring anywhere else but at me. The smiles on their faces turned neutral.
"Oh, I see. The silent treatment ey? Then answer my this then, what of Arnold?"
More silence, this time with a bit of a tensed mood. Now I was starting to get agitated. They are hiding something about those two, something big, either they've been warned not to speak about it, or it's their own personal choice. Neither options sound good to me right now.
"Listen if something happend–"
"HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO REMAIN IN BED WHEN YOUR FRIENDS WERE JUST KIDNAPPED RECENTLY?!" someone roared in anger as he broke through the hospital door to come and face me. Flavo, the prefect from one North, had made his appearance.
My eyes widened in shock after what he said. "Wait... What do you mean kidnapped? Explain,"
"You still don't kn–mmphh!"
"Don't worry Max, don't listen to this fools' rumbling. No one was kidnapped right, prefect?" Kira, half-smiled and half-threatened the prefect, but Flavo was not one to be put down easily.
Using Kira's injuries to his advantage, he weaseled his way out of her grasp, then took two steps back.
"He'll find out soon enough anyway, might as well be the one to break it to him," he said as he straightened his shirt.
"We were gonna tell him when he was ready, but I guess now is as good a time as any," Bareth sighed.
"Tell me what?! Come on guys, you're scaring me!"
They really were all serious about this. I thought those two got suspended or something. I didn't think it was something so unpredictable like a kidnapping in a camp!
Jay snapped his fingers to get everyone's attention. "I'll tell you then. But promise me one thing Max. You won't over react,"
"Of course,"
***
"WHAT THE CRAP?!" I roared in anger at everyone. A few of them flinched at my outburst.
"You said you wouldn't overreact!"
"How could I not overreact?! Wait...Jay, don't tell me... "
"Yeah. I'm sure it was them that attacked me during that time. I always assumed that it was Mason but after Alex explained everything to me–"
"Hold up! You want to tell me that they planned all this just to kidnap two of my friends?!"
"I suppose so..."
I was already detaching my self from the hospital's machines. If what Jay has told me is true, then we don't have a lot of time.
"Chill out dude! We also want to rescue them too but the teachers said that–" Clive began but I cut him off.
"I don't wanna hear another pip from that loser mouth of yours! Strongest in the class my foot!" I said angrily as I searched for my boots.
Clive looked ready to say something but immediately zipped up when I gave him a warning look. Guess the brainless idiot knows when to shut up when need be.
"Now hold on, Max! You're still the most iinjured out of all of us! I don't think it's good for you to get out of bed," Jay suggested as he quickly tried to gently push me back on the bed.
"Yeah Max. This is not the right time yet," Kira joined in with Jay.
"Listen, I respect you both very much since you're all good friends of mine. But I'm going to say this once, let go of me," I whispered dangerously.
Both immediately let go of my hands when the realized I wasn't going to listen to them. I quickly got to my feet and marched towards the door, where three boys stood in my path.
"Move,"
"Where do you think you are going, Max? You don't even know where to start," Flavo said as Blade and Bareth nodded in agreement.
"Really now. Cause from Jay's story, I have a pretty good idea who deserves all the blame. The teachers are still in school, right?"
"I'm sorry. I can't let you disturb the teachers in their meeting. I'm still a prefect you know. So are you," he answered.
I folded my hands and stared the three boys down. They really are going to stand in my way, aren't they? "I hope you guys know what you are getting yourselves into. Flavo, why do you even care about this?"
"Arnold is still part of my class. Of course I'd care,"
"Hmm.... That's good. Buy unfortunately..."

"...you're all not strong enough to stop me,"
The three boys all collapsed on the floor due to the effect of the skill. Now, the only two who remained in my way are...
"I'm not going to stop you. Do what you want," Jessie backed off. Emily just stared at me still with that guilty look on her face.
I signed when I realized what she was thinking.
"It wasn't your fault, Emily. From what I've heard, they were also going to take you too so this in a way, was a blessing to you. You also tried stopping then in your own way but they were just too strong for you. So stop blaming yourself for this,"
She nodded her head and wanted to say something but I was already on the move to where I knew the teachers met up for meetings.

In a matter of seconds, I had arrived at the board room. With no hesitation, I pushed the door open and was greeted by surprised looks from all teachers. Principal Kelly was the one leading at the front, followed by the four generals, then finally all the form teachers.
The boardroom looked just as I expected, a large table for the teachers, the only surprising thing being the large screen at the front.
I scanned the room for whom I was looking for, spotted him, and almost made my way to him but someone got in my way.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS, ARROGANT BRAT!" the North class teacher, Miss Ivory, screamed in anger. "I WILL NOT TOLERATE SUCH BEHAVIOR FROM A–"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" I roared at her. She was taken aback by my sudden retort so much that she was frozen in shock. Sorry, but I had no time for pleasantries.
"What happened out there?" I asked Flintheart in a dangerously low voice. Before he could answer though, I was suddenly attacked by a powerful spell, but easily dodged it. I angrily turned to the attacker. Miss Ivory stood there looking pissed off. She recovered quick, I'll give her that.
"I don't have time for this!"

<*Adamantium spear has been summoned*>
<*Skill *More than one* has been activated. Maximum amount of spears that can be summoned by user:100. Can be increased*>

A hundred spears were immediately conjured up and each hovering just behind me. Mrs Ivory's beetroot red face slowly turned to fear. Most teachers by now we're all up and ready to put up their defences, all except the principal and the four generals.
"Just so you know, you attacked first," I said and raised my hand to launch the spears. But a soft firm voice interrupted me before I could think about it.
"Lower your weapons, Mandrax. No need for all that," Mr Kelly calmly said.
"But she attacked first!"
"Yeah, because you disrespected her. But part of the fault is also hers. She did break one of the rules of this school.
Mrs Ivory quickly turned to the principal. "I was just trying to show this brat who was in charge here!"
"By attacking a weaker monster than you?" Mrs Kelly raised an eyebrow.
"Weaker monster?! With all those spears hovering over him?! He's using the spear's power wrongly!" she screamed in protest.
Principal Kelly sighed in exasperation. "He's still a student of this school, Miss ivory, and teachers are not allowed to attack students no matter the reason with an ability,"
I retracted the spears back and slowly calmed myself down. What the hell was I thinking?! I'm going to definitely get in trouble for this. But I still had to know from Flintheart's mouth...
"I understand why you're mad, kid. Nothing to be ashamed of. But rules are there to be followed so expect a harsh punishment due to this outburst."
"I understand. But please at least tell me what you guys are planning to do," I begged the principal. She looked at all generals, with whom a few nodded their heads.
"Fine then Max. You can pull up a chair. Though this is the the first and last time a student joins out board meeting,"
