Ariel was packing her suitcase for her honeymoon when President Kim walked into the room. She tried to hide her annoyance as she greeted him.
"Good afternoon, Mr Kim," she said, keeping her tone polite but distant. She had made up her mind to build a wall between them and not encourage whatever madness he think he has a right to do. This marriage is solely on paper and she would keep it that way until she was out.
"Good afternoon, Mrs Kim," he replied, his voice equally cool. Ariel has always hated how he always manages to be unaffected by a lot of things. "I wanted to speak with you before we depart."
Ariel raised an eyebrow. She had expected him to be the one to avoid her, not the other way around.
"I'm listening," she said, folding a pair of jeans neatly and placing them in her suitcase.
"I have some important matters to attend to in the coming days," President Kim said, pacing around the room. "Things that require my full attention."
