Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 Assemblance.

Sarai has two safehouses in New York.

One is hers, while the other is a family building, one in which she grew up. The one which is hers is the safehouse she had taken Kylian to after rescuing him from Aro at the abandoned factory. That day Adrian had attacked with his minions and the house was almost destroyed.

The other, which is her family's, her mother's to be precise, is destroyed and ruined, by someone who she had inadvertently antagonized. Someone who, if he gets what he wants, which Sarai and her crew are trying to protect, will kill them all afterwards.

And if they are to bargain for their lives, they would be giving up Christa, and that means they would be betraying Kylian. But the possibility of Akotal sticking to the end of the bargain is very low, considering his personality. He had counted them as his enemies the moment they stood against him. They even caused his death, once. So bargaining for their lives is out of question.

Fighting till the end is.

But how can they defeat a Primordial like him.

Even when he was weak, he was strong enough to handle them all, without much trouble. Not to say now that he's back to his full strength. Given the odds, defeating Akotal is almost hopeless.

But, there might be a way. Sarai had seen to it.

And that is the Registro.

Now they must find the way in the way Sarai had found. The spell that can balance Akotal's Primordial immortality, which can kill him.

Or else, their lives will be nothing but dust in no time.

No one could read the spells, including Sarai herself despite being an Armadi.

But now Hector had an idea of decoding whatever is in the book.

Hector grabbed a stone from the ground. His eyes were narrowed as he recalled the legendary method of translating, well known among his coven when they were still together. His fingers fidgeted at first, his muscles tensing as he contemplated where to start. That went on for seconds, until finally, he settled the stone in his hand on the ground and began to draw lines.

Line connected and formed diagrams of three triangles intertwined with each other and with several other shapes and drawings in the middle.

"This is called pantegrams," Hector said and drew the last part of trapping the whole diagram in a large square shape.

Sarai and Melissa watched in awe.

"What's it used for?" Melissa asked.

"To decode languages. Any language at that." Hector nodded, firmly.

"Woah!" Melissa's eyes glinted.

"Well then, translate," Sarai said.

Hector went to work, slowly using the patterns created by the diagram on the floor to decode the letters on the Registro.

It took more than thirty minutes to translate a few words.

"Got it." Hector snapped his finger. "Inferna damnare. That's what the translation read. Does it ring a bell."

Melissa's eyes widened at this. "No, no."

"What is it?" Sarai asked.

Mei Li and Hector turned their questioning gazes to Melissa too.

"It is a spell to summon hell flames. The flames that burned with intensity so much that it could easily obliterate a city within a minute," Melissa's face was dark as she said.

"Well that is good. It should be enough to kill Akotal." Sarai smiled brightly.

"No, you can't withstand the magic needed to do it. Even a hundred witches would die if they summoned such flames. Only powerful sorcerers or witches could do it. And their chances of surviving such flames is very low."

"Witch? That should be good news. Sarai has been a powerful witch for as long as I can remember." Hector grinned.

"No, Sarai can't do it. She will die."

Sarai's eyes didn't change a bit at this. The resolve in her eyes was enough to convince anyone that she is willing to take the risk.

"Well, we can't be so sure until I try it." Sarai shrugged her shoulders.

"Apart from that, it's a dark spell." Melissa muttered with dread in her eyes.

"Dark spell? What would a dark spell be doing in my family's Registro?"

"That's what I was trying to say. Armadi Witches don't perform dark magic." Melissa muttered.

"Then why is it in your family's Registro?" Mei Li asked.

"The translation maybe wrong." Bones-the-old said from behind them.

They all turned to him.

Then Melissa's eyes glinted. "Yes, he's right."

"Spells are not for anybody to read, only witches can read a spell and in all my years of relating with the witches I have learnt that if a person with no witch blood tries to translate a spell, he won't get what he wants."

Hector sighs in defeat. Sarai bit her lower lips.

Melissa's eyes shone with trepidation. "The translation is incorrect, Sarai. And you can't do that spell. The consequences will be overwhelming."

"Sarai, I have an idea," Bones-the-old said.

*********

Akotal was sent flying for over a dozen meters. And his body skidded for a  few more before he was able to regain his stance.

His face was half burnt. His multicolored eyes flashed with pain and he writhed his body on his feets.

Heald landed on the floor, few meters away from Akotal and stopped.

Mei Li leapt from the upper corridor she was standing and stopped beside Heald too.

Benzo waltzed in by the door, caressing his palms with were still red hot as he stopped just behind Heald. His face had a slight flinch and his lips was a bit pale. The large fire ball had consumed most of his energy. Afterall, he is just a mutant who could conjure fire from his palms, not an unending source of flames.

Akotal growled and lifted his bent back. Half of his face that was burnt had begun to heal up. His eyes gazed at Heald. The murderous intent that ran through it made their blood cold. He made a heavy exhalation as he began. "You never learn, do you?"

"Well, we have learned." Heald grinned, spreading his arms. "That even if our failure is obvious, we should give it a try. Luck might come to our rescue."

"Oh! No luck comes for fools who goes up against a Primordial like me." Akotal's eyes glowed crimson and his claws spread as he added. "Perhaps if you had come begging for your lives, I would have spared you. But now that you even had the guts to burn my face, no going back…. you're all going to die."

Akotal growled as they all lunged at him at once.

Heald charged at him. As soon as he got to Akotal, he swung his claws at him. Akotal caught his hand with ease, swung him away, and like a kite whose string had been cut, he was sent crashing through the wall.

Mei Li swung her sword at him and he dodged it with even more ease. Akotal aimed to grab her but with expertise, she cleared off Akotal's hands with her sword and he hopped back.

Two fire balls was sent flying at him by Benzo. He ducked and one swooshed past him. A hissing sound erupted as the second fire ball landed on his back, burning his flesh while his face crumpled with pain.

Benzo lifted his palms to conjure more flames. However, when his eyes met Akotal's rageful eyes, his jaw dropped and fear coursed through his heart.

Bang!

Akotal appeared before Benzo in a flash and he grabbed his neck. Benzo gasped for his breath and wriggled to slip off Akotal's grip but his strength cannot be compared with the thousand years old Primordial.

Bang!

Akotal staggered back and involuntarily released Benzo. His hand clutched his forehead which had been compressed inward and dizziness struck hard at him.

Graaaaaa!

A heavy roar boomed throughout the hall. A wolf, about two and half meters tall, standing on its hind legs could be seen despite the poor lighting in the hall.

It's Mac, fully transformed into his wolf form.

Heald stepped out of the dust and debris of the wall he had broken through earlier. He was covered in dirt and dust poured from his cloth. He coughed and wiped his nose that dripped with a thin streak of blood. "You are alone, Akotal. Primordial or not, you can defy nature balance."

Akotal had been gotten unawares and had taken on the full strength of the fully transformed werewolf. He shook his head, shaking the dizziness that assaulted him. His compressed skull creaked as it went back into shape and healed up as he grimaced.

Benzo got back to his feets and caressed his neck with a contorted face as he gulped. If Mac had been one more second late, his head would have been severed.

Akotal, fully respawned from the attack, faced the group of supernaturals. "A vampire fighting alongside a wolf? Hilarious!" He exclaimed with a grin. But in a second, the grin melted away. To be replaced by a chilling death look. "It's a pity, such assemblance will end in death and misery tonight."

"Leave now, Akotal. While you still can." Mei Li was even more than daring as he defied the vampire lord.

"Oh, oh. That is brave, I dare say. But I'm afraid I'm not done here." Akotal clenched his fists as he added. "I still have a few more bones to break and more insolent lives to cut off."

Mac growled in his wolf form and took a step forward. His feet pounded on the floor, as heavy as a lead.

Akotal's eyes glinted. "And a wolf's spine to crush."

Graaaaa!

Akotal rushed at them.

Benzo's palms heated up as he conjured more flames.

Heald leapt like a frog, lunging at Akotal with his claws apart.

Mei Li wielded her sword, swishing the blade in a circular motion as she charged at Akotal.

Mac didn't lag behind as well. His hind legs pressed downward, then with a powerful push against the floor, he leapt very high and plummeted down at Akotal.
