Chapter 61 - Chapter 61 Eclipse.

Debris flew around. Dust threatened to tear the place apart as the air trembled fiercely at the force at which the large bees collided with Akotal.

Kylian stared dumbstruck as he gazed at the scarlet cloak that billowed continuously, like the flag of a Nation, proudly hung up in the air for everyone to see and admire.

His voice even failed him as he muttered. "Adrian?"

Adrian turned his head towards Kylian's direction, the large bees that swirled around him made him look like a god of bees as his red eyes burned with so much fervor. "Hello, Kylian."

"You shouldn't be here."

"If I am not, you would be dead soon and so is my soulmate. I can't watch my her die, you know." Adrian grinned as his eyes flashed with mischievous light.

"Humph! You didn't even care whether Christa gets hit when you launched your little bees at the old Vampire. Definitely a sweet way of saving a soulmate." Kylian glared.

Adrian grinned, side to side with his teeths concealed and his eyes glinted as he said, "I don't think so, the old vampire won't let his sacrificial lamb die."

Kylian frowned in confusion. His head slowly turned to the altar, and true, the stone altar is still intact.

Then where did the debris that broke apart earlier come from?'

Kylian's expression turned ugly when the dust cleared off and the full image of the altar came into sight again.

Right on the altar, Akotal stood, unscathed with his black dress still intact. And behind him, still laid on the altar with her eyes open but unaware of what's going on, was Christa, safe and sound, with not even a scratch on her.

But a large hole about three meters wide was on the wall of the altar room, just behind Akotal.

Apparently, Akotal had controlled the concrete to break out of the wall and shield him from the attack at the last second with his telekinesis power.

"That's a wise gamble, I'll say. But who are you?" Akotal's red eyes glinted as he asked. "No one can enter a Primordial's house without even the slightest consent of the Primordial himself, so who are you?"

Akotal wanted Kylian and his crew to come into the castle, so that he could wreak havoc on them and that was why Sarai was able to teleport them in. But now, Adrian was able to enter.

"You haven't completed that law of yours." Adrian grinned. "Nobody can enter the house of a Primordial vampire without the consent of the Primordial himself, except if the person has the true blood of a Primordial, running through him."

Akotal's frown only deepened as he gazed at Adrian, whose bees, seeming to sense the murderous intent of the Primordial vampire gathered around him and buzzed, thunderously.

Akotal asked again. "Who are you and from whom did you stem?"

"Someone who, despite having the blood of your family in him, wants you dead. Someone who cannot bear you living." Adrian clenched his fist.

Akotal's crimson eyes glinted, "I don't know who bore you, amongst my family. But, I'll say, that's audacious. You will die trying."

"Oh! I don't think so. You are dying, old man. You have exhausted your three hundred years of restored power and now without the sacrifice, you're nothing but a weak old fella." Adrian shook his head, slowly as he added. "With the way things are going, I don't think I will be the one to die tonight."

Kylian and Mei Li suddenly gasped as they gazed at Akotal.

The latter had no reaction as he touched the side of his lips and gazed at the red liquid on his pallid index finger. Blood. He's bleeding.

What Adrian said was true, Akotal is weak and without the sacrifice, he will even be more weaker. Yet, knowing that he's weak already, he still used his telekinesis power to protect himself and the sacrificial lamb.

"Your witches are down, and no more sacrifice. You are so much dead, old man." Adrian grinned.

However, Akotal's eyes glinted viciously as he grinned with zero humor. "I so much enjoy your courage, but it's unfortunate for you. The Witches have done most of the parts that needs to be done and the final part can be done by another witch. So, the restoration of my powers is near." He casted Christa a look over his shoulder as he said, "all I need to do is ripped out her heart and," Akotal moved his gaze to the Red Skull and The Chain of Dracula on the altar as he continued, "use my little properties here to complete the process."

Adrian's smile retracted.

"He'll kill her!" Kylian growled.

Adrian's eyes flashed with madness as he gazed at Akotal's crimson eyes.

"No worries, I'm not that unfair." Akotal said, to their surprise.

"Nah. You can't kill her yet because she looks just like her. Ava." Adrian grinned, with zero humor as he added. "Your weakness for Ava will remain till your death."

Akotal's lips curled in a bitter smile. "You are right. I had thought for a second that that kid is Ava." His eyes glinted with a renewed rage as he muttered. "Thanks for remembering me my profound fondness of Ava."

"My pleasure, old man." Adrian swayed his hand dismissing Akotal's gratitude and said, "unfortunately, you'll be joining her in afterlife, tonight."

Akotal grinned, wty no humor. "Since you all came in here to challenge me, a Primordial. I'll show you what damage a weak Primordial can still cause."

Graaaaaaaa!

Akotal bared his old, dark and dense fangs and his claws, like the scythe of the grim reaper itself, spread out wide as he growled.

Kylian's eyes flew wide in fear, he couldn't curb the feeling, it seemed to engulf him so much that it drowned him in a pool of fear and doubt.

Mei Li leaned closer to the wall and wished it would swallow her whole as the feeling of overwhelming death engulfed her too.

The two near dead vampires, Hector and Heald, felt like this is the end of the road. The feeling of death was so much that their healing stopped and their injuries worsened.

Adrian felt fear and the crushing feeling of danger made his eyes trembled. His hands shook and his legs almost became a jelly, but then, his bees swirled the more, and his lips parted as he growled back.

Graaaaaaaa!

Akotal had a look of surprise in his eyes coursing through his eyes for a second.

'This kid is holding up against me? Perhaps, he truly has Primordial blood running in him!'. Akotal thought silently.

"I wish I knew the Primordial who bore you before I kill you." Akotal's lips bent slightly to one side as a vicious look flashed across his burnt face. Then his eyes slitted the more as he lunged at Adrian.

Adrian lunged at him too.

Bang!

The two collided, their strength was at a stalemate at first but then, Adrian's hands trembled like a citadel about to crumble and like a kite whose string had been cut, he was sent flying.

Bang!

His back struck the wall heavily and he dropped to his feet.

Akotal's eyes blazed with yet a renewed anger as he lunged at Adrian again.

Buzz!!

The bees, in their hundreds, lunged at Akotal and engaged him in a fierce battle. They moved to sting him and stop him from moving closer to Adrian, but Akotal, much faster than even the bees, shattered them with his fists.

Adrian watched with wide eyes as he felt several connections with the bees being cut off. Meaning the bees are dying.

He caressed his two hands, which were trembling from the fierce strength of Akotal's hit, then his eyes turned even more vicious as he lunged at Akotal, aiming to attack him unaware.

Bang! Bang!! Bang!!! Bang!!!! Bang!!!!!

Akotal kept on smashing the bees with his brute strength.

All of the sudden, Adrian snuck up behind him and lunged his fist to pierce his back but Akotal gripped his wrists and slammed his fist at Adrian's chest.

Adrian was sent flying again.

Bang!

He crashed to the ground near Kylian and grimaced at the several rib bones that had been pulverised by Akotal's punch.

But Akotal wasn't unscathed this time. When he stopped Adrian's assault, the bees had their chance and they took it as over a dozen bees stung him hard.

And now, there were holes on his dress and his body.

Akotal was enraged as he fought more viciously, smashing the bees and continuing to move closer to Adrian. His speed was unmatched as he break through, step by step and the bees reduced drastically.

"He's strong." Kylian muttered as he gazed at Adrian whose, bones slowly creaked and healed up.

The five meters between them and Akotal diminished by a meter as over a hundred bees met their demise.

Adrian grimaced in pain as he felt the immense number of bees dying all at once. His shattered ribs snapped even more loudly, making him wince in agony. However, his teeths gritted as he muttered. "Yes, but he soon will be too weak to fight."

Then, Adrian sprung to his feet and continued fighting, right under Kylian's awed look.

Bang! Bang!! Bang!!!

The fight went on, the bees being smashed as seconds went by, Adrian trying to get a hit on Akotal and Akotal always getting him, and giving him a devastating hit.

Akotal was getting desperate, he never thought that battling with Adrian and his bees will be this hard. So it made him even more enraged that Adrian could hold him.

BANG!!!!

The bees were all flung away as Akotal smashed his fist on the ground, making cracks to appear all over the floor and walls of the altar room.

Adrian struggled to his feets, holding his shoulder that had bent backwards due to Akotal's last hit and gazed at the Primordial.

Akotal, with several stings all over his body, watched Adrian with wide eyes. His marred lips opened as he muttered. "Who are you?"

Akotal couldn't control his surprised look. Blood trickled down his lips and nose. His demon-like crimson eyes have reduced in intensity and it's visible the weak Primordial has gotten even weaker. He's almost exhausted his residue powers yet he couldn't kill Adrian, whom he sensed is not a full Primordial.

Adrian exhaled. His shoulder took longer to heal this time, signifying he's getting exhausted too. His eyes glinted as he said, "you are being too easy on me, a bit, old man. You could have controlled a few of the dark flames at the corners of this room to burn me to my death."

Akotal flinched. His lips curled and he said, "I don't need that. And I also need to know who you are, at least before I rip out your heart."

"Well, I assure you. You won't be able to get that out of me before you die."

"Then, you will be the one to die first."

Akotal's eyes flashed with anger as he watched Adrian lunge at him.

Bang!

Their fist collided, this time, it was a stalemate and Adrian wasn't flung away like before.

Akotal had a shocked look on his face. But then his eyes flashed with more anger as he slashed Adrian on the chest.

The latter groaned in agony as the ancient claws tore into his skin, burning him like a hot iron.

Adrian growled loudly and his bees obeyed as they lunged at Akotal.

However, Akotal grabbed one of them and flung it at another, smashing the two at once. Soon all that remained of the bees are no more than a hundred.

Bang!

Adrian lunged at Akotal to pierce his chest but the latter caught his wrist again and flung him towards the altar.

In a second, Akotal sped and appeared before him and plunged his fist at his chest while Adrian could only watch, unable to respond to such speed.

"I don't know whose Primordial blood is running in your vein but you have to die."

The bees tried to stop Akotal from crushing Adrian's heart, buzzing loudly with their murderous intent overflowing. But their journey was put to an end when a portion of the wall of the altar room tore away from the rest and broke up into small pieces. Then the pieces lunged at the bees and collided with them.

All the bees fell at once with their bodies smashed into pieces.

Akotal felt a deathly surge in his head for what he just did. He's weak yet he used his telekinesis power to annihilate the rest of the bees. This greatly affected him as his lips parted and a great torrent of blood gushed out of his mouth.

This stunned him and his claws from crushing Adrian's heart, for about two seconds.

Adrian could only stare with white face and red eyes filled with pain as Akotal's deadly claws burned around his heart.

'Is this the end?' Adrian thought in his mind.

Akotal snapped out of the surge that signified the end of his Primordial special powers. His eyes shone with anger.

Why is the cost this much? Never in his wildest dreams had he thought that he would be pushed to an edge just like now. This only fuelled his anger the more.

His claws moved to crush Adrian's heart but then he felt claws at his back, trying to thrust into him. His eyes widened and in a swift move, pulled out his claws from Adrian's chest and twisted out of danger.

Akotal grabbed the fist that was aiming to pierce him from behind and clenched his hand on it.

Kylian roared out loud as his wrist bones broke into pieces with a crushing sound.

"You Skull!" Akotal growled out loud.

Bang!

Kylian was sent flying across the room at a speed that when he slammed at the wall, half of the section collapsed on the ground.

Kylian fell on the ground, face flat, so weak that he seemed to be dead.

Akotal punched Adrian in the face, rendering him near-dead, then lunged at Kylian.

Akotal shoved his claws into Kylian's back. The latter shrieked out in pain.

"Lead Skull began the misery of my life. My only purpose was to get into Ava's heart and win her forever. He shattered that dream. And I never got her."

Kylian had a break in his painful scream as Akotal pulled out his claws.

Akotal's eyes flashed with anger as he plunged his fist into Kylian's spine this time, crushing a side of the spinal cord. Kylian's yelp was horrible this time. It sounded like the last howl of a dying wolf. The agony in the scream was so overwhelming that if you heard the scream, you would be hunted for the rest of your life.

"Lead Skull brought this dark burn on me. He made me a half dead person. He made me a broken man. And today you, the last of his kind, again brought me on this edge by challenging me." Akotal's eyes flashed viciously as he muttered. "I'll make everyone you have ever met cry blood for tears and for centuries, the blood of their families and descendants will overflow the Atlantic."

He moved his fist to pierce through Kylian's chest, to finish him off.

But something happened.

All of a sudden, Akotal gasped. Blood spurted out of his mouth and he staggered back a bit. His eyes slowly lowered down to his chest.

A blade, sharp and red hot, was protruding from his chest.

With slow, painful pace, Akotal turned to look back and a flinch crossed his eyes when he saw what it was.

It's the Chain of Dracula. The blade moved on its own accord to pierce Akotal's back, thus stopping him from finishing off Kylian.

Visibly, fumes rose from his chest as the red hot blade burned his chest.

Akotal's eyes flashed with madness and he grabbed the chain from his back and pulled out the blade.

His eyes were like burning coals as he clutched his hand on the red hot chains. His eyes blazed and his bloody lips trembled with rage as he growled. "Lead Skuuuuuuuuuull!!!"

'Lead Skull's weapon just thrust me in the chest, on its own accord. Things are going awry. I need to to complete this sacrifice now!'

The Chain of Dracula can kill even a Primordial if he isn't careful. If this weapon continues its assault like this, he definitely won't last. He needs to complete the process very fast or today next year would be the anniversary of his… death. Something he had always managed to secure himself from, for over 900 hundred years now.

Desperation flashed across Akotal's eyes as he lunged towards the altar.

His eyes burned with haste to complete the ritual and be whole again for the next three hundred years.

However,

As he approached the altar, a pair of slitted eyes gazed back at him. The female had a resolute look as she held onto her sword.

Akotal reduced his speed as he watched Mei Li, slightly confused at what she's trying to do.

His confusion reached its peak when runes on Mei Li's sword blade glowed bright gold.

However, he sneered and continued his race towards the altar.

If Mei Li is going to attack him right now, then her death is certain.

But is she going to attack him?

Of course, she's no fool at all.

'What's she doing? What is her intent?' Akotal rummaged in his mind.

His jaws gritted hard as he increased his speed.

Mei Li had a slight grin on her lips. Her eyes lowered and she casted a look down at Christa. Her eyes flashed as she clutched the hilt of her blade.

'If it's what I'm thinking, I'll so much crush her!' Akotal grimaced as he covered the distance between him and the altar in a blink.

However,

Mei Li shrieked as she lifted her sword and plunged it into the altar, just above Christa's head.

Bang!
