Chapter 42 - Chapter 42 Adrian VS Clawe the survivor.

Kylian crossed his two hands to shield his head from danger as the bees impacted him.

BANG!

He was sent flying in the air and brought to a halt by the wall, in a slam.

His face contorted as he gazed at Adrian whose face was filled with hatred as he approached Kylian.

"What do you want, Adrian?" Kylian asked.

"Your life." Adrian stated simply as he quickened his steps.

Like bees follow the queen bee, the large bees swooped at Kylian again, with a speed that shattered every resistance.

Kylian sped from the spot and the next second, the wall there became history as dust and debris bursted outwards.

"Not now, Adrian, you really need to sto-" Kylian's paused as he gazed at the spot Hellsong was with Christa earlier.

It's empty. Hellsong is gone, with Christa's unconscious body.

Kylian's eyes blazed with anger as he turned Adrian. "You let him escape with her."

"You're my priority, you're dieing before sunrise." Adrian clapped his hands together and hundreds of bees appeared from thin air. His red eyes glinted with murderous intent as he growled. "No stopping that!"

Kylian's eyes widened in shock as he watched the bees. He couldn't even blink when he was engulfed, in a second.

********

At the abandoned factory used as a hideout by the organ snatchers.

The place was dead silent. The space around the huge factory building was dark and stale.

Ever since the mysterious disappearance of the organ snatching gangs residing there, the others did their best to stay away from the place.

Several stories have been told, many rumors carried, but of course no one really believed.

The sweepers completely cleared off every supernatural trace there. Even if Sherlock Holmes visits the place for investigation purposes, he would find nothing but a clean factory which hadn't been in use for almost a decade.

Inside the hall, it was dark. But one would still be able to see things, a bit.

The air twitched and a figure appeared from thin air.

The green cloak of the figure billowed and with the lowest sound possible, the feets of the figure touched the ground.

Green eyes gazed from under a cloak, shifting from here to there as it took in the views.

The door which was shattered by Kylian had been replaced by another, new and neat and exactly the same as the former one. One can never notice that it was changed.

The green cloak figure took a step from the spot and moved away from the door, towards the center of the hall. The head, hidden under a green hoodie too, lifted up to look at the corridor.

The upper corridors which had been torn apart by Benzo's flames were anew again with not even a speck of dust off the concrete compartment.

The figure editing dropped its head and advanced further.

The holes in walls that had been created by crashing bodies too, were all closed up.

All of the sudden, the figure stopped on a spot.

The crater on the ground, formed by Kylian's body when Aro the hunter unleashed an arrow on him, was all gone too. The sweepers definitely did a great, if not extraordinary job here. That's what they do though; wipe the slate clean. Anything that could expose supernatural existences, they wipe it clean.

The air was stale, not peaceful, but still quiet.

A sigh could be heard as the figure lowered its hood to reveal the full might of a pair of emerald eyes so bright that it illuminated about five meters of dark embedded space.

The figure is naturally Aro, the mystical hunter.

'What is really going on?' he thought as he gazed into the empty space.

He could still remember what Akotal had said earlier when he told him that the rogue vampire was protecting a lady.

"I don't find that disturbing for you." Akotal had replied. And the eyes of the over a thousand years old Vampire Lord gave off no emotion.

But Aro ain't no fool, if he's, he wouldn't have been in reign for over a thoudand year as the legendary hunter.

He knew there's deception somewhere.

Ever since then he had been feeling restless. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.

If he looks at it strategically, Kylian is dangerous and thus, should be exterminated as noted by the hunters code of conduct. But this same dangerous creature was fighting to protect a human lady.

Odd!

'Protecting a human lady who's to be sacrificed by a Vampire Lord for resuscitation.' His eyes winced as he thought about that.

He can't deny that he isn't so pleased with that.

'The same humans I should be protecting will be used for a ritual?' his eyes glinted with a fury but then it subsided within a flash. 'But Akotal is my friend, and if he doesn't do the ritual tomorrow night, he will become very weak and will eventually die. I have to let it slide.'

But there's still one thing that bothered him.

The Vampire. Kylian.

'the rogue vampire.' he thought as he looked down at the spot that had been shredded into crates that day.

His face revealed how puzzled he was as he squatted at the spot Kylian had sunk into when the arrow met him.

He could still feel the aura left behind by the rogue vampire, Kylian.

When vampires go rogue, it's either because they can't control their urge or power, or they are overwhelmed with an emotion.

But what Aro felt from that dark eyed vampire that day was different.

'Ferocity, wildness, not even a slightest of the bloodthirst like other vampires.' the more Aro thought about it, the more confused he became.

Even though, in past centuries, Aro had hunted for the vampire, known then as Clawe, he never got so close to him. That was until Clawe suddenly disappeared and was never heard of again in the East.

But days ago, Aro got not just close to him, he even got close to killing him.

Aro released a killing shot at Kylian. Yet he couldn't kill him.

That alone is absurd and out of the world. Not even a Primordial Vampire can survive Aro's shot head-on without sustaining serious damage that could kill if not taken care of, soon.

But the vampire survived it.

Aro's eyes slitted as he reminisced what he saw, when the vampire 'Kylian' emerged from the crater with a torn chest.

The red skull, with its two smoky bat wings intact.

The murderous intent of the skull vampire was so high that it called onto Lead Skull.

Or, is the vampire a reincarnation of the Lead Skull?

"Definitely impossible." Aro gritted his teeths and his eyes glinted with assurance.

All his life, he had never heard of that. Aro the mystical hunter is over a thousand years old, and never for once in his life had he heard of reincarnation of a Primordial.

A Primordial has its own life while the ones it turned to have theirs too. Reincarnation is impossible.

'But something is definitely wrong with this whole Skull Vampire thing.' Aro nodded to himself as he thought.

'And I'm going to find out.'

His cloak billowed and he vanished from the hall.

Silent returned to space again, even more than it had been before.

Adrian watched with his eyes brimming with hatred.

The bees engulfed Kylian and feasted on him while he could only scream and writhed in agony.

The pain was unbearable. Feeling the bees piercing every spot on his body with their dark stings. It's excruciating.

With slow steps, Adrian approached Kylian. After about five minutes of watching Kylian screamed and writhed underneath the bees' wrath, he snapped his fingers, calling the bees as they buzzed away, leaving Kylian.

Kylian was like a dead body. His body, littered with little holes the size of a human finger left behind by the bees' stings, was unmoving as Adrian stopped before his sprawled body.

"No one has ever survived me, you know. How you have always got away in the past was all thanks to my father." Adrian slowly lowered to a squatting position. He chuckled, darkly. "You were absurd. You insulted me. Y- you were unusual and my father was unusually condoning you. I hated that."

A cough was heard from Kylian as he opened his eyes, revealing his eyeballs which were so weak in gleam that anyone would know that he's one step from dying. His lips parted and in a hoarse voice he said, "y- your father had a feeling he knew me. He had a feeling, I was the one who saved him years ago. An- *cough* and he thought he might need me to save him again."

"Pft!" Adrian chuckled again. "My father what?!" He had a disbelieving look as he grinned down at Kylian.

Adrian's eyes glinted with hatred and he said again. "I don't know much about you, but the moment I saw you, I hated you. Even before you insulted me. I hated you. It only became unbearable when you claimed my mate as yours."

"You let them take her away." Kylian's voice was much more clear this time. It's clear that he's healing.

A confused look etched at Adrian's face.

'Isn't he supposed to be inactive till he'll eventually die?' he thought internally.

This time, Kylian wasn't just able to move his lips, but was also able to crease his forehead, grit his teeths and clench his hands. His words rang with heavy murderous intent. "I'll kill you for that!"

Bang!

The spot Adrian was squatting earlier, was smashed with a strong force that the floor reverberated with it.

Adrian, standing about five meters from Kylian, stared wide-eyed as the vampire he had brought down with his powerful bees earlier, staggered to his feets.

His jaw dropped in shock. "Impossible! You survived that without my blood?!"

Kylian's hung head lifted, in a slow motion.

Adrian took a step back when he saw Kylian's eyes. His eyes glowed incredulously as he mouthed. "What the hell is this?"

The eyes were void black. The dark veins that seemed to have gone to sleep earlier, simmered as if triggered, and released an aura of nothing but death.

Kylian took the first step. His dead eyes set on Adrian like a lion sets his eyes on its prey.

He took the second step.

Adrian shifted his feets slightly as he felt every hairs on his body stand on edge.

'what?!' His surprise knew no bounds as he thought. 'A turned vampire is giving me a sense of danger? What's going on?'

Kylian took the third step. Adrian couldn't take it anymore. He raised his hands and snapped it.

The bees that were previously out of sight, probably hiding somewhere before, all came out and swooped at Kylian.

Kylian stopped and his eyes trembled slightly when he saw the bees, but the dark veins simmered.

Kylian shrieked as he felt a heavy pang of pain in a split second then his eyes flashed open, sparkling with bloodshot as every hint of fear vanished from his eyes.

The bees engulfed him and bit every single spot of his body.

The loud piercing sound their stings gave as they drilled holes all over his body, emanated around, provoking a grin on Adrian's face.

His eyes glinted as he flexed his claws beside him.

'I'll end him, before he even knows what's happening.' Adrian thought as he slowly approached Kylian, who had been completely overwhelmed by the bees' dark and poisonous stings, and had fallen to his knees.

Adrian lifted his claws and poised in front of Kylian, ready to thrust his sharp claws into his chest, thus ending his life.
