Apart from Sarai the witch, someone else had the gut feeling that the vampires were gonna find them.
That was Kylian.
Even though he tried to stop himself from thinking such a thing, he still knew they were gonna find him. He just hoped that it would be a little longer.
And he hoped that it wouldn't be bloody. For his friends. Heald, Benzo, the witch and any other person that wants to stand by him.
He didn't want it to be bloody for them. As it had always been for the ones who stood for him in the past.
But he knew the moment he told his past and no one of them left, that they would never go even if he tried to push them away.
Nothing else could have chased them away other than his dark past.
"We have to hold them off," Benzo said.
"I and Benzo would do that but we need to get Kylian outta here, because the two of us cannot defeat Adrian, he's a strong naturally born vampire." Heald suggested.
"I will get Kylian out of here." Sarai nodded. "Mei Li will help you guys."
Benzo took a glimpse at the lady in black before taking off his eyes. Then he nodded. His concerns were that he couldn't sense an aura of a supernatural being on her yet she's going to join them to fight an army of vampires. Suicidal, right?
But despite his worries, he nodded.
Heald glanced at Kylian, his face had a look of worry on it. Then he gritted his teeth and exited the room with Benzo and the lady in black.
Out of the room, a long corridor was all they had.
Behind them was the door to the room, and before them was the corridor, a meter wide and several meters long. Dark, chilling and empty. Crimson stone walls sided it and made it look like a one-way tunnel.
It's a one-way tunnel actually. That's the only way in and out. This corridor is.
At the end of the corridor was a wooden double door. And behind the door is what they are expecting. What they are to stop from getting into the room behind them.
It was all silent.
But then, silent growls sounded behind the door.
The trio position themselves.
Heald's eyes glowed red. His fangs sprouted and his claws elongated.
The lady in black, Mei Li unleashed her two sabres. Both had runes on the blade that seemed to simmer in the dark corridor.
Benzo, on the other hand, pointed his palms forward.
The growls became more distinct and prominent behind the door.
BANG!
Something strong struck the doors.
The two doors shook very hard. The wall reverberated and the ground vibrated from the force.
A green magic circle lit up on the door. It was so bright that it illuminated half of the long corridor. The magic circle emanated a huge energy that coursed around the door.
The force that struck the door seemed to be repelled by an unseen force and the door withstood the force easily.
The trio waited. Their pose unwavering.
The growls outside the door were now becoming more loud. It was like whisperings.
Then silence.
BANG!
Another thud rippled the silence and the double door shook very hard. The structure shook harder.
The green magic circle glowed more brightly and the door withstood the force again. But then the glow of the circle reduced visibly.
Mei Li exchanged glances with the duo men. They were looking at her too. She nodded. They reciprocated with a nod, noting that they understood.
Then they faced the door.
Now loud growls was all they could hear.
A roar resounded.
Then a bang.
BANG!!!!!!
The green magic circle glowed and released energy but then it flickered.
It couldn't withstand the force any longer and it succumbed.
BOOM!!!
The door tore apart with force. The corridor turned dark again as it lost the green glow of the magic circle.
Red eyes came into sight.
Growls emanated as cold bodies under cloaks flashed into the corridor.
They were so many that they filled the corridor easily as they poured in.
The trio watched as the vampires approached in their numbers, completely blocking the corridor.
Benzo's palms lit up in yellow flames, illuminating his resolute face.
Bang!
A portion of the approaching vampires were swept off their feets as Benzo flung the fireball at them.
They were disorganised for a moment.
The trio saw their chance. With a united battle roar, they rushed at the wave of vampires.
Mei Li's two sabres sliced through the vampires with so much ease. The runes on the blade were now glowing and it released a sinister energy. It's a power enhancer on the blade. A swipe was all she needed to decapitate them. The way they are packed together made things easier for her as she took the lead.
The heads flying into the air every second spoke volumes of her existence in this fight.
Some managed to dodge her cut and got behind her. However they met Heald there.
Mei Li's blade was like a blur in the dark, only the sonorous sound and the blood splashes could be heard as she cut through the ranks of the vampires.
But, the number of the ones that broke away and got behind her increased as time passed. It's inevitable as she isn't a supreme being and vampires are fast by nature.
Heald slashed a vampires face and the next second went for the neck, severing it from beneath the jaw.
Another broke past Mei Li and Heald swept him off his feet.
Before Heald could hold him, he did a chinese getup and took a fighting stance.
A fireball flying above attracted his attention. It was Benzo's doing. Trying to break the lines with his hot fireballs.
The distraction was Heald's chance as he lunged for the vampire and ripped off his head.
Another appeared and slashed Heald's face. Heald staggered backwards and he struggle for regain his stance.
The vampire gave no chance as he lunged at Heald who's extremely vulnerable now.
However, a fireball slammed right into the vampires chest ripping through it, creating a scorched gash and he dropped dead.
Heald regained his stance glanced back at Benzo. The fireballs launched over his head towards the approaching vampires, by Benzo illuminated his face as the claw slash on his cheek healed up.
He nodded with a look of gratitude before lunging forward to attack the Vampires that had just broken through Mei Li's attacks.

Meanwhile,
In the room, the several bangs and growls in the corridor, outside the door, could be heard clearly.
Sarai turned to Kylian. A humourless smile was on her lips as she gazed at him.
"Now what, Eleodore?" She asked. Her face put on a serious expression in a second.
Kylian didn't talk. His face hardened. His eyes flashed with strange lights.
He turned his head to Sarai. "I have the book of Malmon. The legendary book of redemption of the witches of the Himalayas. I will give it to you. Help me."
Sarai's eyes glittered as she heard this. The book of Malmon?
The book contained spells that, if harnessed rightfully, could make a witch invincible.
Sarai would naturally want that.
She hurried to the bed and stopped by the edge.
Her eyes ran over Kylian's body as she explained. "The wounds all over your body are too much and it's not healing but I think I know what to do."
She rushed to a corner in the room and stopped before the wall.
Her lips twitched as she chanted some words inaudibly and waved her flexible hands to the side. A magic circle that was previously hidden to the eyes suddenly lit up in a green shade.
The magic circle began to recede and vanish and the wall trembled. It shook very hard.
The vibration was even transmitted to the ground around the room and even Kylian could feel it as the bed on which he's laying shook slightly.
The magic circle completely disappeared and the wall opened up and a shelf was revealed. Stacked on the spaces on the shelf were dozens of bottles that had colorful portions in them.
Sarai's eyes ran over the bottles as she searched for one.
Her eyes lighted as she found it. It was a little transparent bottle that had red liquid in it. Her hand grabbed it from the shelf.
She snapped her thumb and middle fingers together as she turned her back to the shelf. The wall shut close in response with a dusty bang.
She rushed back to Kylian.
"This portion was made by an elder of my clan. It's a very powerful healing potion created from the blood of seven gods. It increases one's healing potential. It's used on a person if he's of utmost importance. And mind you, It once brought a dead werewolf to live. It should do."
Kylian stared at the potion. The amount remaining in the bottle is no more than a drop. Anyway, he obliged. A little is better than none.
Kylian nodded. Sarai opened the cover and brought the lid to Kylian's lips as she said. "But it has a limitation. You should refrain from getting this kind of injury for the next seven days. Or the potion's work will be reversed."
Kylian gulped down the red liquid.
He scoffed. Try not to get this kind of injury in the next seven days? That's out of question, because he's already having the feeling that the next hour is not guaranteed for him. But nevertheless, he obliged.
He savored the liquid for a while before saying. "I'll try not to."
Sarai dropped the bottle on the ground and turned back to Kylian.
Now, the incessant bangs and thumps of battle were becoming more and more distinct. The fight is getting closer to the room and they are running out of time.
Sarai's eyes ran over Kylian's body. She was scrutinizing it for changes. "The potion begins to work immediately when it's taken in. So I think it should have done a hell of a job now."
Kylian nodded. But suddenly, his face began to twitch. Then it contorted as he grunted in pain.
His face rippled and a loud groan escaped his lips. He sprung up and sat on his butt as he grimaced. He doubled up on the bed and rolled back and forth, writhing in pain.
Sarai smiled, it's colorful. Why won't she be happy to see her plan work?
"A hell of work," she said as her smile broadened.
Kylian suddenly straightened his body and kneeled on the bed. Then he lifted his face upwards. His eyes suddenly turned void black and dark veins began to appear all over his body.
Sarai's smile disappeared when she saw this. Her hands stretched out as she wondered in surprise what's happening.
"I can feel it. The heat. It is rising again," Kylian stuttered amidst his groans.
"What?" Sarai gawked. The heat is rising? That is the opposite of what the potion should be doing right now.
Kylian's scream soon turned into a growl.
Loud snapping sounds of bones resounded in the room.
Sarai's eyes widened even more when she saw Kylian's bones snapping and breaking from their joints. The process kept repeating themselves as Kylian roared out in agony.
She tried to think of what could be going on but Kylian's scream was all she could hear.
What the hell is going on?
