Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Caught.

The eery, cold wind blew through the woods, swaying the leaves of the gigantic trees.

The creaking of the crickets and the croaking of the frogs were dominant in the silent and cozy thick forests.

The silvery rays of the moon couldn't pierce through the large canopy formed by the leaves of the trees.

Swoosh!

The leaves on the trees nearby, waved and shook as a breeze swooshed by.

But is it the breeze?

A figure flashed through the woods, making turns and sprinting at a speed a normal human can only feel a gust of wind rushing by and not the creature that passed by.

The green leaves hanging on the branches of trees nearby was stripped off when a huge gust of wind brushed past, following the figure. It was as though a clear cut was being performed on the trees.

Claws cut through the air, the first figure bent at an impossible angle, evading the claw.

He lost his stance and crashed hard at an oak tree nearby, smashing the humongous tree hard and making it succumb in a bend.

Yet the tree couldn't stop his body.

Skidding more than a dozen meters, the figure was finally brought to a halt by amother tree which again was smashed, brought down to the ground.

A normal human wouldn't have survived that.

But is he human?

A pale white human figure staggered to his feet.

His red eyes shown in the dark like that of a demon. His silver hair smeared with blood that isn't his, just like his coat, seem to reflect the silver rays of the moon.

Sharp claws draped from his two hands twitched and simmered as a portion of the moon rays that escaped the grasp of the thick foliages overhead, shone on it.

If it's in movies or in fantasy novels that one had read or seen this, one would have believed easily. But I bet no human would see this and be on his or her legs.

No one, I mean no one in his right mind would believe that this pale, bloodsucking creatures called vampires by various artists in the past, really do exist.

It's frightening.

The man twisted his right arm and it gave a cracking sound as the bone came into shape, a deep gruttural growl, that enphasized the pain he's feeling, escaped his lip.

Soon, red glowing balls hovered around him. The balls are eyes and it belongs to vampires, army of then as they surrounded the vampire.

His eyes flashed viciously as he sensed their presence. He lifted his eyes and it met a particular pair of red balls.

Then a figure emerged. Hugely built figure, extremely pale skin. The red glowing eyes of the man, slitted, scrutinized the silver haired vampire before him.

"Clawe, here you are, finally caught, the rogue that needs to be destroyed," the man's deep voice boomed like a dozen speakers.

"It's not what you think, Cracker," the figure, Clawe replied, guilt flashing through his red eyes. "This is way more than just being a rogue, Cracker, believe me."

"See, no rogue has ever admitted to be a rogue, yours isn't different anyways."

"So now what you gonna do about it? Uh! hunt me? You're all cowards trying to clean up your blood sucking ass, no one ever asked me why this is happening to me. You all come hunting for me," Clawe replied, this time in a normal, but still like a growl.

"You just wiped out a whole village, Clawe, your whole existence is covered in the blood of the innocent you've killed, even your soul isn't left out," the huge vampire, Cracker, said.

"We are all smeared by the blood of other creatures, that's inevitable for every vampire that wants to survive."

"But not in a way that can endanger our existence. This world is evolving and things that can take our life's are created every passing time," Cracker took a step forward and pointed his sharp clawed index at Clawe as he said, "you are an abomination that needs to be destroyed."

But that could be the worst mistake he has made all his life. It already is anyway.

"I cannot be destroyed!" Clawe felt something growl from within him and the next second he's not himself anymore.

Black veins bulge on his skin and his eyes became void with black.

His muscles enlarged. His aura increased tremendously, so much that any human that comes near now will die of suffocation.

Cracker subconsciously took several steps back, mouth opened wide at the sudden turn of events.

"Uh!"

"Uh!"

"Uh!"

Several shocked murmurs emanated from the other red eyed creatures in the shadows. The fear etched in the shock barely concealed.

However, Cracker gritted his dentition too and his eyes glowed more brightly as his murderous intent burst outward.

He's not the leader of the vampire coven for nothing.

His body enlarged and his muscles ripped, his aura quickly reaching the same as Clawe's.

A deep throaty growl left Cracker's fanged mouth as he lunged, becoming a blur.

In a blink, he was already standing before Clawe.

"Die!" He bellowed as he banged his fist forward and Clawe did too, with a vicious look.

But what happened next made gasps erupt from the shadows.

BANG!

A large puff of dust covered sight for a while.

The shredded body parts scattered around.

"Uh!"

Roar!

Clawe roared in a beastial way that sent chills down the spine of even the bravest of the bravest then turned to the others.

The other red eyes creatures emerged with visibly rageful looks, and they all lunged at Clawe.

Clawe had just killed their leader, no one leaves until this creature dies.

But little did they know that they are making a fatal mistake. Mistake that would cost them their lives.

The birds nearby flapped their wings and fled for their lives as several bangs resounded, tearing through the silent night.

Yells and yelps, laced with agony emanated all throughout the woods, along with the bangs and then after a while, silence descended.

*******

Hours later, Clawe staggered through the forest, clutching his abdomen from which a large amount of pale red blood oozed, whilst using the trees as support as he staggered.

His black veins and his void eyes were all gone. His silver moon hair that had been smeared with blood earlier is now completely covered in crimson.

Several claw marks could be seen all over his pale skin, through his shredded red tainted coat.

Pain tore through his entire system as he kept on moving. All his senses seemed to be shutting out but he didn't stop, he knew better to stop.

Even though he wiped out the entire coven that was after him, he knew it's only a matter of time before another one arrives.

He placed one hand on a nearby tree as support, the other clutching his bleeding abdomen, and took another step but halted just in time as he almost slipped off.

His blurry sight found the tip of the land and the clashing waves at the base of the cliff.

He could have heard the clashing from a mile away, but his entire system seems to be dying right now.

His eyes closed as dizziness began to overwhelm him but he opened it again.

No he can't fall of consciousness now.

Never.

He straightened his stance to balance and turned, but what welcomed him made him paused.

Right before him was one of the creatures that he had confronted earlier.

In his grip was a stake.

"Graaaa," the pale creature roared viciously and lunged at Clawe who could do nothing as the creature drove the stake into his chest.

He grunted in pains and roared skywards as his stance broke.

He staggered backwards, towards the edge of the cliff and the sea and the lone survivor stalked him.

The pale man raised his claws and struck downwards, at Clawe's head to finish him off but the latter grabbed his neck and they both plummeted down the cliff.

In the midair, as they fell, the scuffle continued.

From afar one would see as one of them struck fiercely and the other had his head pulled off as they landed in the sea, right into a clashing wave.

A bird shrieked into the sky as the night silence reigned again.
