Chapter 61 - Molay vs Doma

Earlier in a different Area of the Infinity Castle.

"My, My! What an interesting feeling, it felt like I was falling into a deep abyss before being brought here." Doma, Upper Moon 2, said in a bit of surprise being brought to a different place this way which was a new experience for a well over century old demon such as himself.

"Oh? I have a guest?" Doma says in interest as he sees a portal made out of darkness appears as another person walks through making his eyes widen slightly.

"Well now, this is new, I've never come across a being such as yourself before, though I must say that your looks suit my tastes." He says with a chuckle as he opens his own fan over his mouth as he looks over the woman before him.

"My Lord was right, I am the only one worthy of dealing with you, although he said not to kill you if possible, but just being around you makes me feel Ill." The woman, Molay, says as she says with a blank look on her face as she pushes her glasses up.

"Oh? Your Lord doesn't wish to kill me? How odd, and why wouldn't he want my death, even if he knew we are enemies?" Doma asked a bit intrigued as to why she said that.

"'Such a waste of potential and resources if they were killed, if you can incapacitate them, if not then kill them at your discretion.' He said, though if you're not up to standard then I'll just have to kill you myself anyway." She says as she pulls out her sword while her shield floats behind her as Bamthy, the small goat doll, hops up on her shoulder.

"Huhu, it's almost like you know that my Lord will lose to yours." He smiles behind his fan as ice forms around his feet subconsciously.

"If my Lord didn't decide to hold back then we wouldn't even be having this conversation." She says as she swipes her blade in front of her as daggers appear in her free hand.

"But the time for conversation is over, I wanna see what you got." She says as she pulls her arm back before tossing the daggers right towards him.

But he just smirks as before the daggers reach him a barrier of ice shoots up and easily blocks the attack, he was about to say something, but his eyes slightly widen before he leaps back as said daggers explode destroying his ice barrier and scattering ice shards everywhere, with only one grazing his face and cutting his cheek.

The wound instantly heals but he still wipes his thumb over it and licks it with a smirk on his face, "Clever move, but surely you have more than that?" He says casually before he waves his fan and an avalanche of ice and snow heads towards her.

"Of course I do, what? Do you think I don't have other things up my sleeves." She sneers before she pulls back her sword which ignites with a blazing fire, making it several times longer before she casually swung it as a blazing fire crashed with the ice with enough intensity to negate both of their attacks.

"I see why your Lord said that you were my counter if you have such a control over your flames, though I have a question." He said as he kept attacking her with ranged ice attacks making large spikes and sending them hurling towards her.

Her flaming blade along with her shield casually kept deflecting his attacks, which mind you were moving at speeds that would be hard for the human eye to keep track of, but was easily dealing with, "Oh? And what would that be pray tell?"

"What exactly are you? You look human, but you smell neither of a demon nor a human, you smell of something else, something darker and more…. Sinister." Doma was truly intrigued with the being before him as with his apathy he care for nothing and puts on a cheerful facade but he feels nothing inside, but for the first time in his long life he felt something as he stared at the woman before him.

Excitement.

A feeling he has never truly felt before in his life as he has seen humans and demons, besides his King, Kokushibou and Akaza as well as the rest of the Upper Moons, to be beneath him but for the first time he has come across a being that seems to be beyond what he can understand, and made him begin to ponder things he thought to always be lies that humans tell themselves but maybe true.

"Huh, I guess my Lord was right, you are the most perceptive of all of Muzans Demons, well I don't see a need to hide it, I wasn't told I could never say what I truly am if one asked." Which is true her Master didn't say she couldn't talk about herself to others, but she never saw reason to as no one asked as everyone just sees her as her Masters attendant or secretary even, only he had actually seen though her mask like she had seen through his.

"I am a being that exists beyond a mortals comprehension, as a human I am known as Jacques De Molay, but to those who wish to see beyond…." She smirks evilly as her hood flares up turning into a maw that devours her as the very area that they both stand upon falls into darkness.

This both intrigued Doma but also internally put him on alert as he thought it was her Lord interfering but soon realized that wasn't the case.

*Woosh*

Soon numerous candles appeared being held by black hooded figures with a line open to the center as it became more apparent that he was now somehow within a western cathedral.

"An illusion? No…. This is too real…." He pondered as he looked around at the hooded figures before a massive fire lit up a little ways before him as Molay reappeared in her true seat form before him as several of the hooded figures raised their swords in salute to her.

"What are you…." Is all he could say seeing her true form in both shock and awe of her presence.

"I am known to mortals as The Holy Mother of the Abyss, so I welcome you to my ritual." She says as the fires begin to light up as she begins the climax.

"Rain, rain. Our desire is the temple of curses. The compensation for the throbbing ache of the flames of relaps. Dues shall be collected equally, from both the rich and the great." Flames completely enveloped her body in a sickly purple hue, an ominous presence could be felt deep within his bones making him squint his eyes and take this seriously as ice began to rapidly surround him.

"Dye the Temple with your spraying blood! Vendredi Treize!" She shouts out before a massive tidal wave of darkness headings straight to him.

"Blood Demon Art! Rime — Water Lily Bodhisattva!" He says as he jumps up into the air and lands upon the shoulders of a massive ice statue of the Buddha as it holds out its palms and breathes from its mouth a subzero temperature as it uses all of its might to stop the encroaching tidal wave.

As soon as it reached him the Buddha began to freeze it but the attack was relentless and the statue was beginning to crack as he just smiled and thought out loud to himself.

"So this is what a real god is like? I never stood a chance…. For what is a Demon before an Actual God?" He said with a smile as he felt something that made his life more interesting than it was before from this meeting alone as he realized that there truly was something after the end.

*Crack! Crack! Boom!*

And soon enough his strongest Demon Art was shattered and Doma was dragged into the darkest depths of the Abyss below….

..

.

"Huh?…. I'm not dead?" Doma said barely being able to open his eyes as he realized he was within the same place before he was brought to that darkened Cathedral.

"Like I said it would be a waste to kill you, but I'm more surprised with you even being concious as you are." Molay says as she was looking down at Doma, well at least what was left of him at least.

"Huh…. I've never been this injured before…." He was nothing but his upper torso and head with all the veins in his body showing up as a sickly black across his skin, his insane regeneration was being negated to a heavy degree as it was only extremely slowly regenerating, at this rate it would take him well over a weak before he could be back at his full strength at this rate.

"Now will just sit here and-"

*BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!* a massive shockwave could be felt throughout the entirety of the Infinity Castle.

"Hehehe *Cough Cough* Looks like our Kings are beginning their final battle…. It's a shame really…. I wish I could see it myself….." He says as he can only move his eyes to look in the general direction of where the final fight was occurring.

But feeling this Molay felt a sense of dread in her heart that this fight maybe dangerous for her master.

But no matter what her Master will win and she knows it.

But how heavy is the price of this sought after victory?
