Merry was about to fall asleep but suddenly Max folded his one arm around her unknowingly while sleeping, she got surprised. Merry gulped hard the moment she sensed Max's breathing heavily.
'He must be very tired by all the travelling...he always tries to show that he is fine...but not a single time he rests properly...and asks me to rest even when he is the one who needs it most.'
Merry's thoughts grew her concerns for Max all time working without rest.
But all of a sudden,she snapped out of her thoughts when Max tightened his grip around her. Merry was about to get a heart attack by this closeness.
They've been close before in general terms but Max always kept an appropriate distance on bed to keep her feel safe and secure.
At this instance, Merry was not in discomfort, she felt more comfortable.
Her exhaustion disappeared when she felt this warmth not only physically but also mentally.
'Why does it make me feel overwhelming? I don't know what's this feeling is, but it makes me want this moment to live for eternity.....' Merry's vision blurred due to tears but it was of happiness of comfortness and secureness.
Consequently, Merry fell asleep serenely.
"Hmm..." Max's eyes lashes glimmered as rays of sun dawn.His eyes wide opened when his vision fell upon Merry.
But then his eyes sparkled and an beautiful ease aroused within his soul.Max move forward and kissed back of Merry's head.
He started nuzzling in her hair as it felt as soft as cloud.
' I've never had such an anaesthetic sleep in my life, all pain disappeared in her presence..I just wanna stay like this forever....what is happening with me..It feels so ethereal.' Max thought as his feelings were drowning him into this very inexperienced moments with his wife.

"Lady Merry, would you like me to put this necklace set or just the bracelet and pandent."
Servent asked Merry while dressing Merry up to visit the church and greet the elders.
"J-Just the bracelet and pandent will be e-enough." Merry confirmed .
Other maid of the Church's castle were observing Merry's enchantress instead of doing their work.
They were captivated by her beauty and simplicity.They were talking about her as they all had just heard of her but they didn't imagine this much.
Merry wore beige knot designed woollen dress which covered her neck line elegantly and also protected her from cold climate.She carried the dress with red Jem's earrings and pandent with bracelet of same set.
Wore her hair down while cliffing one side half up. This look glorified her facial features and body structure
while on the other hand , Max preferred a white tunic under greyish trouser and wore over a black leather cloak with attached brooch.He put his hair up which emphasized his manly features and his wolf eyes.His broad chest and perfect height worked as cherry on the cake.
He outshined any good looking noble as always.Anyone would get flattered on him even men.
Other rich noble families and the kings with their wives started gathering up to start the morning rituals ceremony. It was especially to
show regards to the late kings and honour for the kings in the present and the upcoming ones.
Every single one was covered in valuable jewels from head to toe especially noble ladies. Even the lords of the kingdoms didn't leave a chance to not show off their prosperity.
one by one lords with their ladies pay their respects to the statue of Goddess and priests and took their respective seats.
At last, Max arrived while holding Merry's hand . Everyone looked at their direction mesmerized. All noble men were looking at Merry mesmerizingly and all the ladies were left with no words when they saw Max.
"So gorgeous." Every men's jaw dropped to see her.
"How handsome!"The ladies giggled and murmured among themselves.
"Wow!"
Everyone was hypnotised by this pair.
But all the ladies were feeling jealous by their lords attention on other woman but on the other side , ladies were also capturing the beauty of other woman's man.
Merry was extremely nervous when she saw everyone was looking at them.
Max firmed his holding and indicated Merry to calm.
"Don't worry dear." Max told Merry with deep voice which may seemed to him that it would help her to relax but instead of relaxing,
Merry got goosebumps by his husky and seductive voice complemented with eyes starring deep inside her soul.
Merry nodded her head while getting flattered because of her husband.
They continued the ritual and followed the same process and took their seats as well.
"Thank you so much for coming. I really appreciate the fact that you all arrived between such a busy schedule." One of the main priest stated.
"We have umpteen matters to discuss,but first I would like to highlight the reality after the honouring event."
While the priests talked about the significant issues, most of them were starring Maximilian and Merry with lot of interest.Some of them were gossiping and some of them were enthralled.
"Look at him, I never imagined such a tyrannical king would be such a handsome man."
"True , I envy that woman."
"Oh gosh! His eyes are so captivating..Oh no! His looks killing me."
All the ladies were interested in gossiping about Max by whole heart while keeping their voices low so that their husbands couldn't hear them.
On the other side , all noble men were not leaving a single chance to look at her. Unfortunately for them , Max's deadly stare was enough for them to get chills through their spine.
After a while, when the meeting ended, Max held Merry's hand to leave first.
Followed by others.
But unfortunately, on their way back, they bumped into Calvin who just arrived from the church's main gate to enter the church.
"I guess I'm quite late. Huh?..But.." Calvin was about to complete his sentence but he got speechless when he lowered his vision and his eyes met Merry's face.
"I suggest you to learn some manners and also to be punctual." Max added while getting in front of Merry.
"What a luck! Is she your wife who you were hiding last night Maximilian? Won't you introduce her to your war partner." Calvin asked while avoiding himself from looking at Merry.
"Meet my life partner Meriana Lewis and Merry he is..Calvin Survelli.We were in the same combat line during the Harmony war."
"Lovely to meet you Lady Meriana." Calvin offered a shakehand with a smile.
"N-Nice to meet you." Merry lightly accepted hand shake but in a blink of an eye, she pulled her hands back.Max tried to suppress his chuckles. Calvin grinned.
"What the meeting was about?" Calvin asked .
"They didn't say it directly but what else could it be." Max responded.
"Not again." Calvin added irritatingly.
"I hope you are not busy, then we can talk about it in detail." Calvin suggested.
"Fine, but later." Max told and left the church without wasting much of his time there.
"Wh-What did th-they mean?The priests." Merry asked hesitantly.
"There can be two things either money matter or another war ."
"War?!"
"That's why they put so much efforts to make us attend this event."
"So..y-you have to go for war again.." Merry said with low voice as her heart ache on the fact that Max would be away from home for long for war.
"It's not sure, but even if war takes place , it won't take more than two months as it constitute a wide range of power as compared to the Sesmic allied kingdoms." Max replied.
"T-Two months? S-Still...it's war..and it w-would definitely be dangerous." Merry said because the thought of war made her feel danger and losses of lives.More importantly,she was more worried about Max.
"Don't think too much my lovely wife. Don't worry." Max inclined towards Merry and looked into her eyes while pulling her one hand near his lips to kiss her palm and told her not to worry.
Merry nodded with blushing face.
"You're more dangerous for me than war Merry." Max added while looking at his wife with full admiration.
"Wh-What?!" Merry couldn't understand him properly.
"The way you look at me..what are you doing with me? ... Anyways, you are looking lovely today." Max couldn't not put his words properly to tell her about what he was feeling.
"Th-Thank you! Y-You are looking ab-absolutely handsome." Merry replied and complimented back with genuineness.
"Then give me a reward." Max demanded.
"What? R-Reward?" Merry asked.
"I got ready just for you.." Max added.
"Then....what d-do you want?" Merry asked confusedly.Max face grew red on processing her words.
"I.. I'll tell you later." Max scratched his head flusteredly when he already decided what he wanted.
"Okay." Merry agreed and smiled back gently.
"If I had such a beautiful wife I would have kept her under hundred locks.. I don't know what is so special about her that is attracting me more than anything.. how amusing.. it's the first time I am envying someone so much..why I couldn't get her??" Calvin affirmed while looking at them from balcony of the church.He was smiling unknowingly but he was sure whatever captivated his eyes was a precious one.
