Tadashi took one glance then had to look away as horrible scenes of Tsukiyomi's flashed fastly upon his eyes. His expression was sad and full of sorrow. Lazhu lowered her head. And then the scenes ended as quickly as they started and the room went back to normal with the model and pedestal and everything. Lazhu sighed and walked over to Tsukiyomi, who hid his disappointed face. "I see you have taken my warning. I might as well tell you your fate and what you meant to do," said Lazhu. Tsukiyomi was surprised. So he actually had a reason for being alive? Why couldn't he have found out sooner? Lazhu continued, "What Rose wanted you to do. I cannot tell you the struggles that lie ahead but I can't tell you one thing, listen to your heart, follow what you dream of, and fight for your glory and never run from the struggles you deal with. And someday you will end up making a difference."She then walked over and handed Tsukiyomi a small pouch. "What's this?" he asked, taking the pouch.
"I know it will take some time to get used to the fact that you know Rose but I know you will accept it soon. Youĺl find out once you open the pouch." Lazhu said as Tsukiyomi began pulling the strings of the pouch only to find a pendant on a chain inside. It was a rose, of course. "Some here at the cathedral say it belonged to Rose. wear it if you like, it'll bring you luck and memories. Rose loved you very much." Tsukiyomi put the pendant around his neck. Lazhu walked over to Tadashi next and put his hands in hers. "Teach him well, Tadashi, keep him safe. You are very pure hearted and your mother loved you very much, as well as your father. Keep being howe you are and never change." said Lazhu,
"Thank you, but where do we go from here?" Tadashi asked, Lazhu smiled and said, "That's for the both of you to decide. See yourselves as leaders. Please come back to Clorina anytime. I'm sure you will hear from me soon." Lazhu led them out of the cathedral and bowed, saying goodbye for the second time. Tsukiyomi now felt like he had a purpose, he felt like what he had to do, what he was meant to do, was what he had wanted to do for a long time. Escape, run away, adventure more of what no one else had been able to see and feel and experience.
"Tadashi," he said, "I want you to lead the way for now." Tadashi's eyes widened and he nodded. Was he happy about the request? "Your expression changes quickly, I've noticed. So what were you planning first anyway?" Tsukiyomi mentioned as the two began walking back to the gate.
"Well, my plan was self defense and combat. I think I might teach you how to use a weapon, if you want to protect yourself, considering you weren't completely fond of the whole idea of me staying with you. I figured we would go back to the hut. Plus, it'll be night soon. Whither is only one wall away." Tadashi said, Tsukiyomi crossed his arms.
"You really think that I'll be able to carry a sword? Heh! Don't be ridiculous, how would I carry it around?" said Tsukiyomi, but then saw Tadashi pull his sword from the sheath hanging from his belt, only halfway though.
"I have plenty at the hut. I carry it without a struggle. It would be better to not take it out here since it's a peaceful region. We should head back to whither." said Tadashi, and they did just that.
They had eventually made it back to the Whither, now crossing back to Right Whither. The suns had almost set as they arrived back at Tadashi's little hut.
Tadashi made tea and set it on the table, Tsukiyomi sat near the dying fire. The room was bright enough once Tadashi had lit candles and a lantern. Tsukiyomi went over to drink tea with Tadashi. But Tadashi left the table and went over to his back wall. "Pick one." he said, pointing out three weapons hung on the wall. A katana, a sword, and a spear. Tsukiyomi picked the katana, for it seemed familiar, they all did, but the katana the most. After picking, Tadashi took the katana off of the wall and went outside the hut. Tsukiyomi followed him own. In Front of the hut was a small, grassy area, big enough for two people to duel though. Tadashi handed Tsukiyomi the katana as the two stood across from each other. "You chose a very valuable weapon. The katana is an incredibly versatile sword, effective for both stabbing and slashing and providing enough power that a skilled wielder can bisect an unarmored adolescent or adult or anyone in combat for that matter. Iaijutsu is what you call a katana battle. Katana's are usually done with martial arts like kendo, iadido, and koryu bugei. These all take time to study and practice. Considering you are very good at running away and escaping things, you have very excellent physical mobility skills and move pretty fast, just looking at your build tells me much." Tadashi said, taking out his own sword. Tsukiyomi understood everything almost as if he had done this before. Tadashi gave a demonstration by swinging his sword in all sorts of directions as well as moving his body certain ways and stances. It was amazing. He was agile and quick with his moves.
"Every great fighter always gives their weapon a name. My father told me this." Tadashi said, getting into a fighting stance. Tsukiyomi hesitated. He had never used a big weapon like this before. Tadashi notices him struggling and walks over to help him. Tadashi comes up behind, putting his hands on Tsukiyomi's. "I'll help you. Now, no one can fight by just randomly swinging the weapon around." Tadashi said, he didn't seem bothered at all by their position. Tsukiyomi hesitated again, realizing the stance they were in. It was almost awkward.
They continued that way for a while until Tadashi felt like Tsukiyomi could move by himself. And Tsukiyomi had indeed gotten the hang of it with a little more practice. Then, as Tsukiyomi felt he was ready, Tadashi challenged him to a duel. "But you're using a sword." Tsukiyomi pointed out.
"Most duels are never played fair. So I'll go easy on you." Tadashi took the first swing. Tsukiyomi dodgers it. He never realized how fast he was. Tsukiyomi takes the next swing and their weapons clink together. A burst of energy filled Tsukiyomi's veins. He felt like he had fought before, he knew what he was doing, and he was good.
Tsukiyomi ran back and flipped over Tadashi as he dodged Tsuki's hit. He ended up behind Tadashi with a surprise attack. Tadashi fought back, Tsukiyomi spun and dodged every attempted hit. His long, black hair spun with him, his small loose strands hitting his face gently. He was agile, Tadashi thought, it was perfect. It was almost as if Tsukiyomi was a pro at this. Tadashi snuck up behind Tsukiyomi and almost attacked but he blocked the hit with the edge of the katana.
The skies were completely dark with only the moons for light. After a while, they ended the duel with a tie and went back inside for the night. They were both exhausted. Tsuykiyomi flopped down on the cot. Tadashi sat on his bed. "You're really good. I'll let you keep the katana." said Tadashi, Tsukiyomi sat up.
"You're kidding!" he said, Tadashi shook his head.
"I'm not. I don't need it. I have my own sword." Tadashi got up and put the katana in an unused sheath and gave it to Tsukiyomi. After that, Tadashi blew out all the candles and went to his bed. "Thank you for everything today, Tadashi." Tsukiyomi said before falling asleep. He had a feeling that tomorrow he would be traveling again.
