[Ding! Player {Finn} has awoken the unique skill {Hoarder} and {3} other skills!]
"Uh, what?" Finn woke up confused. "Did it just say I awakened four skills?"
After reading the text a couple more times, he concluded that he wasn't dreaming.
"Open skill page." He commands.
[Hoarder{Unique}- A random stat is increased by 1 for each item in your storage]
[Storage{Legendary}- Using a storage device, you have infinite space to store items]
[Versatile{Legendary}- You can use any item in your storage at will, ignoring most restrictions]
[Hold{Rare}-You can store incorporeal items]
"Oh my god. One unique, two legendary, and one rare? How lucky am I?" He asks rhetorically. Then he realises there's an answer to that.
"Open stat page."
[Strength-4]
[Agility-8]
[Magic-5]
[Luck-35]
"THIRTY-FIVE!?" He exclaims. From his knowledge, having any stat starting over 20 was extremely good. Because stats are based on your actual body, they can only be increased by training. So if a stat was higher than 20, you were extremely fit.
"I think luck applies to both real situations and things like mob drops. So I'm set with loot. And luck is the hardest stat to increase, needing rare consumables or relics." Finn was excited. "With these skills, what class should I be... oh."
A class that was less of a class and more of a normal job, a class so weak even normal people can choose it.
[Porter- Collect items and drops, explore ahead of the party to scout.]
"Fine. I choose the class Porter."
[Generating random starting equipment... ding!]
[Speedy Gloves{Rare}- 2 defense. Increase Agility by 5]
[Large Bag{Rare}- Store up to 50 pounds of items]
[Clover Shield{Epic}- 28 defense. Increase defense by {Luck/2}]
[Clover Slingshot{Unique}- 5{7} damage. Infinite ammo. Increase damage by {Luck%}]
"I love having 35 luck. Equip all." He says happily.
He looks over at his stats again.
"So my agility is now 13. Nice" Finn thought of what to do now. "I should probably sell the backpack and buy a cheap pouch."
Since the storage skill said 'storage space' without specification, it should work on a pouch.
"Alright, let's go." He says.
--
Finn arrives at the shop.
"Hey kid. This store is for Players. Get out." The shopkeeper says angrily.
Finn looks at him in surprise. "But I'm a Player."
The shopkeeper laughs. "Yeah, and I'm a god." But after seeing that Finn was unchanged, his smile fades. "You're kidding right?"
Finn shakes his head. "Nope. Can I sell you something now, or do I have to find someone else?"
The shopkeeper takes him seriously. "What rank, and what type?"
"A rare bag." Finn responds.
"Hmm. Well let's see it."
Finn pulls the bag off his shoulders. "This thing."
The shopkeepers eyes glow.
"It's actually rare, okay. I can give you 250 for it."
Finn puts the bag back on his back.
"Even uncommon items can go for up to 500. You think I'm a joke?" He says calmly.
The shopkeeper starts sweating. "I don't have all that much on me right now. 350 and I'll let you pick a couple common items from my store."
"Fine." Finn didn't need the bag, and common items could be useful.
The shopkeeper pulls out $350 and takes the bag, before handing Finn the money.
"Thank you." Finn says, and then starts looking at the items.
After a couple minutes, he spots an ordinary looking ring with a large top.
"What's the deal with this ring?" He asks.
The shopkeeper looks over at it and his eyes glow again. "It's a common ring. It gives a +1 to strength and can store a couple coins or a badge or something. You want it?"
"Yes." Finn grabs the ring and puts it on. "Alright, I'll grab something else and be out of your hair."
He looks around for a bit longer and sees a black four leaf clover that was emitting a dangerous aura.
The shopkeeper notices his interest.
"That's a unique item. I'll let you take it though. Nobody is going to buy it." He says.
Finn looks at it in interest.
"What does it do?"
The shopkeeper grimaces. "If you pull of a leaf, it has a 2% chance to give you a legendary skill. However, it has a 98% chance to give you a random legendary curse. You can take it if you want."
A grin appears on Finn's face.
"If you say so."
He grabs the clover, and immediately pulls of a leaf.
"WAIT KID! NOT IN HERE!" The shopkeeper shouts, worried.
The torn leaf turns into a golden glow and fades into Finn.
[Workaholic{Legendary}- Gain stat points from training 100x faster]
"Oh thank god-" The shopkeeper says before seeing that Finn pulled another leaf.
The leaf turns into another golden glow.
[True Magic- After witnessing any magic be used, you can copy and use that magic]
"Kid, you've gotten extremely lucky, but you should probably stop before-" The shopkeeper sighs, as another leaf comes off. He wasn't even too surprised when the leaf turned golden again.
[Sage- Sacrificing 10 stat points of your chosen stat, combine two skills from your list. You will keep both skills, and have a 15% chance to gain a new merged skill]
"I hate kids."
The fourth leaf comes off, and another skill appears.
[Reminisce- Temporarily turn into another class, that you have seen use a skill, for 1 minute, gaining 30 points in the dominant stat, and a random skill from that class. After the duration is over, your stats are reset to the normal value, but you keep the skill]
"Okay. You're done. Please leave before my shop explodes."
Finn walks outside, and smiles.
"I'm so broken."
As he's about to head for the association of awakened individuals, the clover he's still holdin melts into a small black liquid, and flows into his new ring.
[Ding! Common item {Coin Ring} is being reforged into... legendary item {!$@#! Piece #2}]
"Huh?"
