The snake flinched, waiting for something to happen. As it too knew, any human who could come to these parts of the forest must have a trick or two.

2 minutes passed,
Nothing happened, Carsina was surprised as nothing happened, after all that was one hell of a chant.
Her eyes dimmed as she resigned herself to her death, that's when she felt something very important severed away from her. She couldn't tell what but that's when the serpent finally lost its patience and attacked.
[DEEP INSIDE THE VOID]
A majestic temple stood still as if it was the sole point where the void started. The temple was bound in gold chains with various gems attached to it.
Suddenly a voice came from a small part of the infinite void, the temple shook and cracks appeared on the chain. Within a minute the whole void shook as the chains broke apart and the mighty temple started emitting overwhelming divine rays.
A soft sigh came from the temple as a man could be seen wearing a gold and violet robe and sitting on a throne that depicted images from the primordial era inside the temple.
The man sat straight with his eyes closed. He had long silver hair with a crown on his head. He was handsome beyond measure. He slowly opened his eyes as his purple pupils showed his royal Majesty more and more. He looked deep into the void as he saw a scene. His lips curled up into a slight smile that could topple empires.
He stood up from his throne as the throne and the temple disappeared into thin air as if they never existed.
A sudden change occurred as his robe turned white with a blue tint, his hair turned black and his eyes turned gold. Nothing else happened to his body or his face as his crown became particles of light and took the form of a gold pendant with the word 'fate' on it.
He raised his hand in an empty void and said in a sweet but mischievous tone "Time to meet my bride"
[BACK IN THE FOREST]
When the snake opened its mouth again, it didn't take any more moments to enjoy its prey struggle and attacked her. Carsina closed her eyes waiting for her eminent death,
A ripple formed in the void as a pale hand appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the snake's head. A lean figure in white walked out of the void.
When the expected pain didn't come, Carsina opened her eyes, and what she saw shocked her to the core. She saw a single human figure holding that abomination of a snake with a single hand.
The snake emperor hissed and struggled, trying to break free from the figure's grasp.
Then it sensed the terrifying aura and bloodlust coming from the man, it tried to escape, but the man tightened his grip and the snake's whole body exploded as its flesh and blood flew everywhere but none of it fell on the man or Carsina.
The man looked at the bright moon as his hair swayed, he looked like an immortal straight from the heavens.
Carsina was feeling her eyelids getting heavy as she was losing consciousness. The man walked towards her as she lay on the ground weakly looking at him. He came near her and reached out with his hand that held her chin up towards him as his face closed in.
If it was any other moment the princess would have already pounced on him but she blushed heavily, still losing her sense bit by bit when she heard the man's voice
"Woman, you are too damn noisy!"
She completely fell limp in his arms
"...and troublesome too"
The man shook his head as he carried her in a princess carry towards a more interior area of the forest.
When he saw a plain area near a waterfall, he released a bit of his aura to intimidate the nearby beasts. He raised his hand as a house came into existence out of nowhere. It was a simple but huge White house with 3 floors and a simple herb and flower garden at the front. The house looked simple but it represented a beauty of its own in the misty forest.
He went into the house directly taking the stairs to a bedroom on the second floor. He put her down on the king-size bed. As he sat beside her, He couldn't help but caress the face of the beauty lying on the bed as he muttered silently
"I promise to be by your side till eternity too"
He pointed his fingers at her forehead as a white flame tattoo appeared and vanished soon after. He had already treated her hand on his way here.
He whispered in her ear "Sleep well wifey".
He left the room after that and came to the balcony at the end of the floor.
He looked up at the night sky and furrowed his brows. He looked betrayed, and a while later his gaze became determined as he said in a majestic tone that could order even the immortals and devils to kneel "I, Zane Aurelius am back, just you wait for me heavenly sovereign."
