Chapter 171 - Declaration of War

[ The Dark Majesty needed to establish a throne in Nym'Roal and to spite the Olympians, he chose the land of Greece as the base of his empire.

Horatius wouldn't have to search for a location for long. One would be thrown into his lap when a mortal King rallied his army against the demons.

All but one of the soldiers would die in the ensuing battle. The one who survived?

A tall woman with dark brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair would catch the attention of the Dark Majesty.

Picking her out from the pile of dead bodies and naming her after the precious stone, jade. She would later transition into a vampire.

Just outside of the fairy realm, Luella and Hecate stood face to face. Hecate suddenly opens her domain which was meant to stop the use of magic for her opponent but that didn't bother the demonette.

"Get on your knees," Luella ordered and the witch found her knees on the ground, obeying the doe-eyed demon's wishes.

"Come here."

Hecate dragged her knees on the ground, moving towards the demon who grabbed her by the hair. "I know your secret," said Luella. "You made the vase that was used to bind my father to a deal."

"I didn't ..."

"Shh," said Luella, putting her index finger over the witch's mouth. "I'm not done."

Luella walks behind the Titan and rests her hands on her shoulders. "I want to kill you, I do, but I just had a much better idea."

In the New Hel, the Dark Majesty receives a new guest. Nordarhark.

The King of fairies speaks with the Demon Lord, the Dark Majesty.

Nordarhark pleads with the Dark Majesty not to attack the Olympians. Before meeting with the Dark King, he met with Apollo, the son of Zeus, who told him everything that happened up to this point.

The Dark Majesty agreed not to touch any of the Olympians unless they attacked him first. After all, the one who incurred his wrath was dead.

Nordarhark left the Dark Majesty's domain satisfied but Luella had heard his conversation with her father. She had declared herself the blood avenger for her mother and sisters and all the Olympians were going to pay.

The daughter of the Dark Majesty, Luella, attacked Nordarhark as he made his way to his realm and killed him before dragging his carcass into fairyland, her body covered with the blood of the slain faerie.

None of the faeries dared challenge mighty Luella. They weren't powerful enough. But the challenge was not issued for them, it was for the Olympians. ]

The dungeon's door rattles as it is pulled open. Hunter and the Gaeans are led out and marched to the courtyard in Olympus. Ares, Apollo, and Poseidon stood in front of them.

"If it were up to me," Ares started, "You'll all be dead by now but you're lucky, my father is nothing if not merciful ..." Ares paused and Hunter saw a blinding light that forced him to close his eyes. When he reopened them, they were no longer standing in Olympus.

Instead, they were on a clear field, not too far away from the huge wall that bordered New Hel.

Hunter turned to see aside from the Gaeans and the three Olympian gods was an army of minor deities ready for war.

'Waleed ...'

"... But that mercy ends here."

'When is this?'

[This is the first battle of the Dark Lands.]

"Run," said Ares as he took out his double-edged sword and pointed it to the Gaeans.

Hunter quickly turned and began running towards the wall.

"Hunter! Over here!" The sprite turned to see one of the Gaeans waving him over. Hunter swiftly recognized her as the same brown-eyed girl he had conversed with back in the underground dungeon. She ran in a different direction from the others and the sprite decided to go with her, following his gut feeling that the girl knew more than she was letting on.

They ran for a while, away from the New Hel and away from the Olympians, only stopping when the weather was dark and the girl was tired.

She sat on a huge boulder to catch her breath and when her breathing finally became easier, she spoke again. "Goodness ... I wish we had a car."

Hunter raised an eyebrow at her. "A car?" He asked.

"... rage. You're not listening, I said I wished we had a carriage, those wagons with drivers, we would've gotten here quicker and easier."

"That's not better either, carriages designed to have drivers haven't been invented either."

"That's not right, I saw one of the Olympians riding something similar."

"That's called a chariot." The girl paused before turning away from the sprite. "What are you talking about? What even is a carriage?" She asked.

"You can stop pretending now. You even said my name earlier; I never told you my name."

"Mm ... Yes, you did."

"No, I didn't."

"Yes, you did."

"When?"

"I ... I must have heard someone else call you that."

"No one here knows my name."

She pauses. "It was your clothes, you looked like a hunter, so I assumed you were one, I didn't even know that was what your name was."

"This ..." The sprite looked at his outfit. "This is my Metropolitan School of Mysticism uniform."

"A pair of jeans and a hoodie? No, it's not," she replied. Hunter tilts his head sideways and the girl closes her eyes with the realization of what just happened. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said.

The sprite laughs. "What's your name?" He asked.

"Aja," she replied.

"Aja. Have we met before?" Hunter asked.

"No," she replied almost immediately.

"Why'd you pull me away from your friends?"

"We need to find Aia," said the dark-skinned girl.

"There's another one?"

"Not me, Aja. A-I-A, Aia. She's the one who helped the demons enter this realm."

"Oh you can spell too, that's cool."

"Can you stop questioning me? How do you know I'm not a precog?"

"Are you?"

"Maybe I am," she replied. "I guess you feel stupid for mentioning all the weird things I've been saying."

"Not really. I just have a long list of questions about how your abilities work."

Aja frowns. "Come on," she said, "We need to go into New Hel, that's where we'll find Aia."

"You know where to find her?"

"Precog. Remember?"
