"What the hell happened here?!" Kilian demanded furiously. His uncle, Karl, was behind him but he remained silent, keeping his eyes on the chief of the guards as the latter shivered under the beige-eyed man's ferocious gaze.
"Su -- Subject 661 broke out of her cell," he stuttered.
"There's only one of her ... How come all of you couldn't stop her?" The younger Archaeon asked.
"She opened a domain while we couldn't see her ... We had no choice but to retreat," he stated. "We chased her far north ... One of the guards even shot her but she suddenly disappeared."
Kilian moved closer to the head of the guards but the beige-eyed man suddenly stopped when he felt his uncle's hand on his shoulder which brought him to a stop.
"Lay off the man, would you?" Karl said.
Kilian sighed and turned to his uncle. "This is what happens when the ultimate weapon unleashes a fraction of her powers ... I expected nothing less," the older Archaeon added.
"What do we do now uncle?" Kilian asked.
"Find the girl," the older Archaeon ordered before turning to the head of the guards. "Call Jason and tell him to come over here as quickly as possible."
Kilian was just about to step out of the building when his phone started ringing. He took the device out of his pocket to see who the caller was: it was his sisters; the twins.
"About damn time." He said as he answered the call.
"Sorry, we had to get a new phone," the girl on the side of the phone said, her voice was bland and her tone indifferent.
"What happened to the old one?" Kilian asked.
"It was stolen ... And bugged."
"Someone stole your phone? You're slipping," said Kilian.
"We're not slipping; we got distracted," she said.
"By what?"
"Some guy."
"What are you two? Teenagers?" He chuckled wryly.
"Yes."
"..."
"We left our phone in the room at the dorm to sweep the place and find the target. We saw him on our way back. Trinity said she could sense an immense amount of energy from him, said the energy was strange and intriguing."
"What about you, Mercedes?" Kilian asked. "What did you think?"
"He's a great-looking guy: ten out of ten," she said in the same bland voice.
"..."
"I was never as good as Trinity when it comes to sensing energies."
"Yeah ... How'd you find your phone?" Kilian asked.
"Trinity tracked down the thief by following the residual energy he left after breaking into and entering our room. He confessed to working for the White Flaggers and admitted he planned to bug our phone, return it to our room in the morning, and send recordings of our conversations to his bosses at Brownvale."
"White Flaggers? Aren't they getting brave? What about the target?" Kilian asked.
"We plan on introducing ourselves to her tomorrow."
"Good. Let me know how that goes ... And I hope you and Trinity put that boy in the back of your mind."
"On that topic, I did find something interesting about the boy besides his looks and the way he carries himself."
Kilian sighs. "Alright, I'll bite; what did you find interesting?"
"He was with Diana."
"Diana?"
"Yes. Diana Maddison."
"What the hell is she doing there?"
"Don't know. Want us to investigate?
"No, try to avoid her if possible."
"Okay."
Kilian ends the call and runs his hand over his bald head. "Diana ... Why the hell are you in Erste Winkle? ..." The Archaeon searched for a number on his phone and called, once the person answered, he raised the device to his ear. "Ibrahim."
"Kilian. To what do I owe this favor?"
"I wanted to ask about your progress in Brownvale."
"Progress?" He sniggered. "We withdrew as the region no longer provided any materialistic or strategic profit for us," he stated.
"It's not supposed to," Kilian stated. "The deal was that you'd keep the Vales busy and in return, we supply you and your group with several doses of the drug."
"I am well aware of the deal. And as I mentioned earlier, that deal is no longer profitable to me. We've moved on to newer, more interesting projects."
There's a loud beep as Ibrahim hangs up the phone. Kilian ran his hand over his face. "... FUCK!"
Just as Kilian makes his way out of the building and across the road, Maxine drives into the building's driveway and finds a free spot to park the car. She turned to Jason who was in the passenger seat next to her. "You're nervous," she noted.
"It's that obvious, huh?" Jason pushed the door open and stepped out of the car, the curly-haired woman did the same, following the pearl white-haired as he walked into the building, the guards at the front slightly bowing their heads.
Karl was seated on the first floor looking through a blue folder in his hands. He shut the folder close once he saw his son and rose to his feet.
"Dad ..." Jason started. "When did you return from your vacation?" He asked.
"It doesn't matter," Karl dismissed. "Come," he said before turning to Maxine who was standing behind the pearl white-eyed boy. "You stay here," he said.
"I trust Maxine," Jason said. "She can come too," he added.
"Jason ..."
"It's fine, Lord Jason," Maxine said. "I'll gladly wait here for you."
"Come on," Karl said headed for the elevator. Jason sighs before following his father.
They remained silent in the elevator, neither of them saying a word to each other until they got to the lowest floor and were in front of subject 661's cell. "What am I looking at?" Jason asked.
"One of our subjects escaped," Karl stated.
"When you say subject, do you mean volunteers?"
"Of course not. The people here, they are special and we have the opportunity to make them the ultimate weapon," Karl stated.
"W - What?"
"... Given how things went down yesterday, it's only a matter of time before word reaches Olivia and she comes down here to see what happened. We can't have her finding out what we're actually doing here ..."
"No."
"That's why -- wait, what did you just say?" Karl asked his son.
"No, I'm not helping you."
"Jason if you don't --"
"I don't care," said Jason. "What you did here, what you're doing here ... That's not who I am."
Karl looked at his son with utter shock and surprise before breaking into laughter. "You're really trying to play the saint? Please."
"I am no saint," said Jason. "... Just stupid. Stupid enough to believe you'd want anything to do with me other than for my powers. And before you say it: yes, I've gotten my hands dirty but I won't get them this dirty." The pearl-white-eyed boy started for the elevator, his father shouting after him.
"You think this is too dirty? All those demons you brought to this realm, what do you think they did?" Karl queried. "You're no Archaeon, you never will be."

Sasha punches the sandbag with a right hook, left hook, right jab, followed by a swift right cross, and then turns round to hit the sturdy sack with a roundhouse kick.
The doorknob clicked and the door was pushed open by an average-height lady with a facial scar that ran from the side of her ear, across her cheeks, over her nose bridge, and to her other ear. The lady had vanilla blonde hair which was parted in the middle and kept in a low ponytail that extended to the middle of her back.
Sasha stopped to look at the lady, her gleaming purple eyes meeting the lady's blue ones. "Hachimura ... Did he send you to get me?" The ecru haired girl asked.
"Master Hubert isn't back yet," Hachimura stated. "What happened to our sisters?" Hachimura asked. The purple-eyed girl had been evasive ever since the mission at the Bureau's HQ.
"They were captured ..."
"Why weren't you?" The vanilla blonde girl asked.
"I'll reveal everything once our Master returns." Sasha started for the door but once she got within the blue-eyed girl's reach, the latter grabbed her by the wrist.
"Did you desert your ... our sisters ... D - Did you leave them to die?" Hachimura asked.
"Let me go ... Before I make you," Sasha said, her face turning into a frown. Hachimura does not let go at first, staring into the ecru-haired girl's eyes for several seconds before finally letting her go.
The purple-eyed girl walked past Hachimura, making sure to brush shoulders with the latter while doing so.
Sasha made her way out of the room and headed for the woods, she was sad and annoyed and the place had a way of calming her down. This time, however, it did the opposite. The ecru-haired girl felt unnerving and a sharp, disabling pain in the side of her head.
Footsteps slowly crept up behind her. Sasha swiftly grabbed her dagger and swung around. The person held her arm and snatched the weapon from her hand before pressing her to a tree nearby. "Calm down, will you?" He said to her.
Sasha's eyes widen once her gleaming purple eyes meet the speaker's teal-green ones. "I - It's you! Hunter Heffernan."
